I live in Australia on my own, will be 69 this year, mother of 4, grandma of 8 and widow ... I just wanted to tell you guys that you make my day, I love watching what you both do but also love hearing you guys chatting and laughing, it takes away any loneliness I may feel, as well as learning.. I was always told by my local fish store that I could not have African cichlids and neon together.. But you seem to do it successfully... Thank you for creating these videos

I just thought of something that may be very cool in your 8ft tank. Build two separate aquascapes on either end with a few tunnels through a rock wall in the middle. One end could be simple with more of an open water theme, while the other end could be heavily planted, promoting survival of potential babies. It would be awesome to see which end the fish choose to live in and the different behaviors depending on where in the tank they are

The rolls of just the swimming of the fish is really nice, as most of your videos are 90% talking and very little just chill music and fish watching. I know you watch your fish for hours and I bet us the audience would do the same and this video makes me feel like I can watch the fish swim. Also amazing camera quality.

I really wish you didn’t let your aquariums get overgrown. They are so spectacular when you build them and then are just overwhelming as they keep going. I have noticed you’re starting with less plants now and I really really appreciate it. I think you’ve learned that if you can’t stay on top of trimming it can look a bit the same. Despite any criticism though you do have my favorite scapes!!! ❤❤❤ love the work

But each step has gotten better and better and aquatic fish keeping skill level keeps get better. And with Matt I am sure we see even better aquatic keeping techniques and learn more about new spieces as they enter into the studio. I hope for greater success on your channel in the next year.

Hi so I’ve just bought my first tank, it’s a 45 litre, I’ve had it almost a week and plan to have guppys and shrimp in it, now they like a temperature I think of around 22 degrees? I have plants etc in and a filter, now I know you have to water change once a week for the first month when fish are in? However, I live in a old converted forge so it is very cold in here (not like normal houses) I have a heater in it for the size of the tank and it won’t go above 20 degrees even tho I have set the heat to around 30 degrees on the heater.. I’m concerned about when I have to change water as I know you have to wait till the changed water gets up to temperature and have had the tank a week now and it hasn’t reached a good temperature, any advice would be grateful! Ps love the content
