SO so good! i have been trying to learn Spanish using a popular app, and was totally lost. I'm trying to speed learn Spanish to meet the requirement to get into a PhD program. I'm a fast learner but have not been catching on because they did not explain about this pronoun stuff like you have here! This is so very helpful. I'm now integrating your videos as a supplement to where the app is sorely lacking! If you have a advice on a system to learn Spanish quickly in order to read and translate to English, I would love to hear it! Thanks for the videos. I still have difficulty spelling in English even though I studied English for years, and graduated from university in TX :).However, I speak Arabic and English and I was surprise of how many similarities Spanish has in both languages. Many smeller words exist in both languages, but the grammar is closer to Arabic. I regret that I didn't learn Spanish while I was in Austin ,but it's never too late. Thank you

I'm learning Spanish this quarantine period. I chose this language because my mother tongue uses a lot of Spanish words. In fact, out of the 6 words you used as examples here, I know 5. Filipino language incorporated Spanish loanwords as a result of their 333-year colonization. Spelling may be different but the pronunciation is really the same. Hopefully, this gives me edge to master Spanish. Thank you so much, Dr. Evans! Looking forward to your next lessons! 😊

Am obsessed to be a multi language speaker so am so happy I found this channel.
My mother tongue is Dutch, English as 2nd language n Indonesia as my daily use since am staying in indonesa.
I hope I can make Spanish my 4th language. I just started a few days ago n found out that it's so systematic and easy to follow and understand
The tutor's pronunciation is so clear n easy to listen to.
Although am 77 years old I am too keen to continue learning.
    Thank you so much, teacher

I am surprised by this lesson. I watched your other video on the alphabet and the way how Spanish pronounces the vowels exactly the same as Bahasa (Malay).
The flag in Bahasa is bendera, but we have two 'e' sounds. "ae' and 'eu'. So, instead of 'baendaera" we pronounce it "beundaera". So, I take it that if someone has acquired Spanish, they have no trouble pronouncing Bahasa. Mostly, Bahasa (Malay) is very similar to Bahasa (Indo), and the language has many words in common with Tagalog.
At first, I was just curious as to what the Spanish alphabet looks like, is it 100% the same as English/otherwise, but I have come to be really interested in Spanish now. Thank you for this lesson.

Professor, it is good. Bueno. BUT ! Don't think the people are the 1st grade brainers. Give us a credit ! Thus, please make it shorter and quicker. Don't explain things longer than it is necessary. But all in all, esta bueno.

So you only used words that do not have accent in any letter. I'm curious how do we determine if a word does or does not have an accented letter? Btw, you're such a great tutor and I'm so glad that I found your channel. Thank you very much!

The accent in letters ain't a big deal, so When u find an accented letter, just Just focus on it and prolong its pronunciation
