So much respect for the work the police officers are doing and keeping us safe. We need 10x more budget at the local levels rather than trillion dollar federal budget that wage and fund wars abroad and give away hundreds of billions as “foreign aid” to keep the war machine humming.
I’d rather have all that money go to local counties, fantastic pay (3x salaries of police officers, tax free), top of the line training, sophisticated tech and gear, amazing benefits like free education, free healthcare, free rations, state funded cars for all officers, and super capable cars and SUVs. My employer can listen to everything I do all day long without my input...why are cops any different? This is the opposite of tensparent. I know I do ride alongs....where the cops use their personal cell phones more than their radios. Its ridiculous. a ton of good stuff in here to protect our officers and our public. something that definitely needs to be addressed is public outreach from local PDs and state PDs, trying to build trust with communities instead of just expecting the community to respect them with no effort. another big thing is amending police unions to include updated misconduct clauses so they can no longer protect these officers who have actually done wrong and committed either legal offenses or civil rights infringements against citizens.

These EV’s have no place as duty vehicles, 8-10 hours to fully charge depending on power depletion and CLIMATE…we run 12 hour shifts 🤣.

The last 20 percent takes a long time because of the built in battery tech that slows the charging down to prevent overheating or overcharge. So they are great for city patrol, officers can do a fast 80 percent charge at lunch or on brakes, no need to wait hours for a full 100 percent charge, they can do that later when time allows..
