a ton of good stuff in here to protect our officers and our public. something that definitely needs to be addressed is public outreach from local PDs and state PDs, trying to build trust with communities instead of just expecting the community to respect them with no effort. another big thing is amending police unions to include updated misconduct clauses so they can no longer protect these officers who have actually done wrong and committed either legal offenses or civil rights infringements against citizens.

BOY 8-10 HOURS? Haha!!! what crack you on? no but seriously charging is really improved. If stations actually use decent chargers it will usually take at the most 2 hours depending on the quality of the batteries. Teslas only take about 15-30 for 200-250 miles.
@@TheLoob321 That's for a full 100 percent charge.. 80 percent on level 3 charges in 17 to 52 mins, I have read this is the normal average time... This is the opposite of tensparent. I know I do ride alongs....where the cops use their personal cell phones more than their radios. Its ridiculous. Don't get me wrong, the vilification of officers is driving much of this, but body cams are for the benefits of BOTH the good cops and the good citizens.
Every interaction with the public there should be policy that has to be captured for Officer. Outside of that, what is the purpose of turning on an officers camera whenever you want to? Please explain and provide examples?
Sounds like a cop hiding while on DUTY. Give us an example. WHY NOT?
@@onecrazeddawg it’s a simple question as to why? Please provide an example. If there is GPS in a vehicle and or on their body camera so you can monitor their locations at all times……AND it is policy for every interaction public to be recorded. Give me a reason as to why you need to turn on a camera at any given point?
@NickOFFDuty Why not watch what he officer is doing in real time while on duty?
@@onecrazeddawg what is the purpose?
Im a Firefighter, the cops get all the cool stuff :)
Not true at all...
this is better than the auto shows of late
Why is it not open to the people that fund local cop shops?
why would you go there if you arent a cop. They are only selling to law enforcement
Because a lot people despise police.
No need for angry protestors or active shooter waiting to maul down a whole bunch of Defenseless LEO'S in 1 spot.
I ganruntee u the viewers ain't concealing inside there. No gun zone
On the Ford P/U, the should go with a hard, lift up cover on the back and cover it with solar panels. It won't directly extend the range of the truck, but when it could keep an aux battery network charged for running the lighting systems and coms.
Give me a break. Most police vehicles are used 24/7. Love to be on duty getting paid to wait for my car to charge all the time.
just gonna say it the ford lighning civillian version has like 90% of what they "added" to the police one. the interior stuff is unique but even then not to special.
If Law Enforcemant goes all electric people on priority calls are screwed
We are already until the pigs learn the laws
@@kenichitamagusuku3194 unfortunately 100% fact
Something about an all black or a black and white squad car is hella nice. Lord knows I would love to drive me on and off duty.
I love how the Whelen guy tried to make the old 3M Opticom type technology sound new. It may be a new way to do it but, it is only polishing existing up a tad and I guarantee you, none of the primary components will be available anywhere else.
Not public but got all the peeks LOVE IT
This was my first year attending and it was a great time! I cant wait for next year!

Nice iRacing sim in the background lol
What difference are there between the "old" and new whelen edge?
No wonder everybody's property tax goes up every year to fund all these gadgets so they can write tickets or haul someone in for a book & release.
Also prevents someone from breaking your front door down and taking all your property.
THAT IS NOT A MUSTANG LOL How ford can call it one blows my mind
ive been seeing the blazers and thought they would be great for police use, love the look
What Code3 needs to do is implement that nightvision camera onto a drone!
So citizens can get spied on more easily?

I got interested in police cars 2 years ago when I bought my first car. 2011 chevy impala ppv, and I've converted it into a fully equipped police car. Lights, siren, etc (all unplugged for daily use of course)
come drive that up here in nyc u gonna be sitting in the back of that car with hand cuffs

Hi Nick, do you remember George Ortiz from Pioneer Middle School? He passed away a few years ago from an od
a ton of good stuff in here to protect our officers and our public. something that definitely needs to be addressed is public outreach from local PDs and state PDs, trying to build trust with communities instead of just expecting the community to respect them with no effort. another big thing is amending police unions to include updated misconduct clauses so they can no longer protect these officers who have actually done wrong and committed either legal offenses or civil rights infringements against citizens.
Body cams are a joke unless admin holds the footage until the investigation is over.

I’m taking notes of what to watch out for now 🤣
AS AN MP IN THE ARMY, IT WOULD BE GOOD TO SEE SOME OF THESE CONCEPTS AND EQUIPMENT MAKE TO THE MILITARY BASES IN SUPPORT OF POST OPERATION. UNTIL THEN, MY SOLDIERS AND I APPRECIATE YOU AND THANK YOU FOR SHARING. WE ADDED 26 NEW SUBSCRIBERS TODAY.

what are u talking about the miltary gets all the best technolgy wake up
Hybrid is for sure the way to go. We’ve got one and it’s great bc it shuts down to electric during longer idle periods and slower speeds, also superb on fuel. It’s also pretty quick. These EV’s have no place as duty vehicles, 8-10 hours to fully charge depending on power depletion and CLIMATE…we run 12 hour shifts 🤣.
BOY 8-10 HOURS? Haha!!! what crack you on? no but seriously charging is really improved. If stations actually use decent chargers it will usually take at the most 2 hours depending on the quality of the batteries. Teslas only take about 15-30 for 200-250 miles.
@@LanaDelReysBabe watch the video before you comment. The Ford rep said 8-10 hours.
@@TheLoob321 Yeah noticed after. Truly embarrassing that they can’t do better. American car manufacturers are slacking big time.
@@TheLoob321 That's for a full 100 percent charge.. 80 percent on level 3 charges in 17 to 52 mins, I have read this is the normal average time... The last 20 percent takes a long time because of the built in battery tech that slows the charging down to prevent overheating or overcharge. So they are great for city patrol, officers can do a fast 80 percent charge at lunch or on brakes, no need to wait hours for a full 100 percent charge, they can do that later when time allows.. The departments will save a lot of money over gas vehicles.
@@jackhemphill7257check the price tag, the electric bill, the battery replacement and get back to me. Hybrids shut down the IC motor while the vehicle is in park and keep the electronics going and I can fill up my car in 2 mins. Check the numbers for how long these batteries last in the great white north. What are these lunches or breaks you talk about? Do you actually know the job or just someone that’s on the outside trying to put their .02 in?
Question let’s say a cop wants to buy a police cruiser from you guys would that vehicle be reserved for him and his unit or would the department have to buy a fleet of that car
Hello, I have a question...where was Fenix? I have the Feniex Fusion 49 lightbar on my F150 amber/white and I love it, its a bit of a pain to program but it gets the job done for me. keep up the good work
Very timely plug for that Tru Armor tech after the LASD deputy assassination.
How do I get the armor glass for the Jeep Wrangler/Glaiator? I see you guys already have it made. Where can we buy it?
Here's my concern on EV cars when an officer is minutes away from, for just a bunch of cars being charged all the time???I'm just asking questions ?

What's your address? I'd like to know what home is unprotected.
We don’t refer to the trunk that’s located in the back, as a “bunk”just because it’s in the back. It’s simply a trunk… so to refer to the trunk that’s located in the front as a “frunk” is the silliest thing I’ve ever heard. It’s a trunk no matter where it’s located. Front , back & side…
So I work for the movie studios here in Hollywood, CA as a Teamster. Is it legal to have a Picture Car as your personal vehicle? By Picture Car I mean Crown Vic all copped out?
Can the car have led lights on for more than 12 hours without running g out of electricity
Bodycam with audio or without, it should not be left to the “Agency“!!!
Why would they not want audio???
The frunk is dumb in my opinion, if you get into an accident in the ford lighting you could potentially loose, damage or completely destroy all the equipment in side of it.
