Ha-ish v ha-isha asher ba-video tovim meod! Asher is the coolest relative pronoun. Also, I had a Jewish acquaintance in college by the name of Asher - surely his name wasn't a relative pronoun! 😅 was it?
I believe the vowels are long in the name, Āshēr, but short in the relative pronoun, ăsher.
Asher the name would be translated into English as either happy, lucky, or blessed; one who is fortunate or who has a good life essentially.

So good! This is wonderful for internalizing the language. בָּרוּךְ אַתֶּם לַיהוה I have found more typos in the scripts, but wonder if you would like me to send them elsewhere rather than post here. Please advise. שָׁלוֹם
Hi Rebecca, it would be great if you could send us a note with typos to alephwithbeth(a)gmail.com, that way we're less likely to miss your note by accident. Thanks!

Question about when ו with שווא before a noun that starts with a שווא as well - if the first letter of the noun is כּ with שווא, does the כּ become כ (soft) when you add ו to it?
אני אוהב את ערוצכם!
Shalom! Yes, and if the first vowel of the word is shewa, the vav will also change to וּ, so for example כְּבָשִׂים plus וְ will be וּכְבָשִׂים. Two changes: כּ to כ and וְ to וּ.
You are so kind to answer my questions- thank you. Here's another one: Beth is showing a jug and says: The jug is Avram's face. Did I get it right? What does it mean?
To say "in front of" someone in Hebrew, you literally say it is "to their face." So here I say the jug is "to Avram's face," meaning "in front of Avram."
Thank you
I'm learning with you. Thanks.
Does somebody teach English using this same method?

What does it mean "asher"?
It's a relative pronoun, so like "that" or "who." Like, the man WHO is in the field. Or, the man THAT has a son.
Thank you for your explanation.
@@AlephwithBeth Gracias a Dios alguien hizo ésta pregunta y ustedes respondieron porque no entendí ni papa de lo que significaba "asher", jajaj. Bendiciones

Any leyad Abraham = yo soy la esposa de Abraham?
leyad es "a la mano de" o "al lado de"
Ok. Todah Rabah.
Didn't understand "asher".
Asher = which = is a conexion = that = Que , el cual , ello , eso , aquello.
@@marynorori9171 Sorry, even the reply is difficult to understand. is it possible to explain a lttle? Thanks
@@samthekkeyil7410 It is a relative pronoun. It can be translate as "that" or "which". Ex. from 7:30 : "There are two donkeys. This is the donkey THAT/WHICH is in the desert. And this is the donkey THAT/WHICH is the flock."
