Gotta say Deano, Snapseed is an absolute gem. I used to be a photographer and this is the first photo app I've actually been very, very impressed with. Great video as always. I feel a shopping spree creeping up behind me. Back, you swine, back!!
Cool stuff Dean. I did spend 10 years in school learning photography yet it is still fun to watch something like this. For someone who is an amateur you sir are on point.
Don't do yourself down, everything you did is 'proper photography'. Also, you might have a use for your polariser indoors. can be really useful in cutting down on reflections and some of the highlights. Just make sure the lighting is at 90 degree's. Very useful video.
This has been extremely helpful thanks Dean. I was hoping to find a video about Macro shots of anything really, but you have covered exactly what I need for my Galaxy S7 and taking shots of my coils. Some great cheap as chips photos there as well mate.
Thanks so much for posting this video, you have given me new ideas about doing photos. I used to work in 35mm photography back in the day before the digital age. I had a darkroom, and did everything the old fashioned way, it was a lot of work. Your setup looks like a lot of fun, thanks again Dean. :-)
Wow this is pretty cool, thanks Dean the Vaping Biker. I've been having trouble getting real tight, close up shots of my coils/builds. Like you I take all my shots with my phone, but mines an iPhone but I think this will work great on it.
This is a brilliant tutorial, really enjoyed watching it and took a hello of a lot from it. Those shots look fit enough to grace any decent web storefront. Looks proper enough to me, although my skills are zilch, so looking forward to implementing some of this. Many thanks.
wanted to say thanks again for this video. I like to use different pictures of mods, RDAs etcc work wall paper and such. the tutorial you gave as well as recommended apps have really made some of my pics look great. so that's awesome . Appreciate your work and hope you get to feeling 100% soon!
Great piece of info dean thank you very much most phone cameras used to have a makro lens already installed I wonder why they stopped adding it to the phones
awesome video mate! really helpful to me. I picked up a lens a while ago when I got into building but never really got the hang of it. I've never taken the phone out of normal mode through fear of the unknown I think, but this video has given me so much to go and try and play around with. thanks for the great content !
Wow! This is _such_ a great video! I've had Snapseed on my phone forever. Being a Photoshop junkie, I never use it. I will now, though. I'm amazed at the quality of the end result with seeming ease. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you Dean that was a really good and informative tutorial as i have just treat myself to a new LG - G4 phone at Xmas and it is supposed to have one of the best cameras out their but trying to take close up shots of my coils tanks & mods are not turning out as good as i would like them, so that tripod and the 2 in1 lens are now on my to buy list cheers Dean you Rock
+Vaping biker can you recommend a good diy eliquid store that isn't ELFC because they seem to be out of stock of quite a few main ingredients like nicotine n the like
Another awesome video! You're doing things most others aren't, and that is awesome. Keep going with this kind of thing, it's a nice break from the latest "sick as tits" rda release.
I'm not sure why you're so insistent that what you do isn't 'real photography' - it looks real enough to me, and I use a Canon 1ds3 with a 100mm Zeiss macro lens or a 50mm Zeiss lens on a macro bellows. The only thing I'd add is that it helps to clean the subject obsessively - stray hairs and bits of dust always seem to leap out at you in a macro shot.
THANK YOU!!!! Very helpful Dean you absolute legend. Im just a beginner builder on instagram @curiouscoiler. Thanks so much for this I'm just waiting for my tripod and lens' now.
lol, no, you're really no photographer ;) read into it, it's really easy to understand and once you understand how ISO, shutter speed and aperture all play together, you'll make better pictures in less time ;)
Gotta say Deano, Snapseed is an absolute gem. I used to be a photographer and this is the first photo app I've actually been very, very impressed with. Great video as always. I feel a shopping spree creeping up behind me. Back, you swine, back!!

Nice
Low ISO = better picture quality, high ISO = low picture quality (noise).
"vig-net" nice.
