Mickey talks, sharing his upset with Hollywood about shutting friend Eric Roberts out of films, and the importance Mickey's grandmother had on his life.

Mickey Rourke. Every man I've spoken to, at length, has the "Mickey Rourke" conversation with me. He's the brilliant outsider, the faith that none of us have, he's courage, he's truth, he's badass in a way that is no longer appreciated. Rourke is the great example of why Hollywood is nonsense. He proves that character, vision and art are secondary to wealth. He is a tattered flag in the wind. A poet, an artist and frankly, the last of men who can speak honestly.

It’s ironic he played a character in an 80’s movie he was looking for that was himself and went unrecognized by others that knew the character because of facial reconstruction from war wounds, but he had the surgery himself in real life.
Any lawyer that Weinstein hates is a friend of mine. Mickey has had a lot of loss to process and he stands strong and is inspirational to anyone who has had a similar path in life.

@Noo Som I'm qualified by watching their movies. And finding them incredibly boring. And their acting pretty stiff. As far as mickey go he was semi talented when he was young. But back than, he mostly had smaller parts. Like in rumble fish or the Diner. I would say he manage to touch base with that again, in Homeboy. He was good in Harley.. But it could just as well been someone else. As far as Tupac goes. He got movie parts cause he was famous as a rapper. Not cause he could act. AS far as acting go, I would say he was a a tad better than Elvis.
Don't care for his music. so I can't judge his accomplishment there.
