Uhm, our military is scarce and the education average has gone down thanks to immigration. Sweden is also the country in Europe where it pays off least to have a higher education.
In 2003 Sweden was above average in the PISA-study, which looks at how educated children are internationally. Ten years later in 2012 they had dropped below average, partly thanks to immigrant children driving down the result average. Also, Swedish people are gonna read this comment and think it's "racist propaganda", because that's how dumb and uneducated they are about their own country.
Sweden isn't a complete disaster but it's also not a paradise. I'm sick of people merely making commercials about this country, so corrupt politicians can benefit from it. You're not helping the people.

Lived in Sweden my whole life and know that the health care isnot good in many cases atall either, ontop of the points you mentionend.
They don't say that Sweden is a paradise, just that it's one of the best places to live. I don't think even paradise is perfect.
And the healthcare and security has been on a downfall for many years, police forces are quitting, since there is barley any punishments for the criminals and we letting in more and more people while not having enough work, forcing them to gangs for a sense of belonging,giving birth to more crime. This country is without a doubt on the downfall due to the politics today. Massive lines for healthcare and underpaying for hospitals, makes doctors have to be harsher in just dismissing people coming for them when feeling sick, I felt this first hand when my mother had suffered cancer for years and was refused by all doctors and hospitals, saying she was just imagining things. She got her first check up if she was sick when she was throwing up blood and first then did they noticed that her cancer left completely unchecked had spreed thru her whole upper body and she died a few months after doctors unable to remove even half of the tumor due to the spread, she was someone who died because the hospitals where lacking the money the examine all the people who needed it and the politicians still getting loads of money in there pockets. The police also have terrible wages now, same as teachers making hard to even live of a profession you are risking your life in, only for the hard arrested criminals to get at most a couple of years in a prison the can't even be called a prison since the living conditions are better than the average person in the country promoting crime in the end in an attempt to make the arrested not do crime. Sorry for my incoherent rambling, just disappointed how the greediness of a few can destroy a country slowly from the inside.

It`s funny how first they explain the difference between scandinavia and the nordic countries, and then they right away make a mistake by saying every nordic country is a monarchy, when in reality every scandinavian country is a monarchy as Iceland and Finland are both republics. And also, åland is part of Finland and Greenland and the Faroes are part of Denmark so they are technically not nordic in their own right, even though they have large autonomy, but it`s complicated...

There are suburbs where Police and other emergency services won't enter because they are deemed too dangerous. I am neither alt-right, nor strictly right wing to begin with, but I don't need to - it takes common sense to see that mass immigration is ruining Sweden. Don't get me wrong, immigration isn't bad as a whole but unrestricred access to your country for people from 3rd world states just doesn't work well.

And then everyone from Södertälje gets on RUclips to complain about how inaccurate this video is, while everyone _else_ from Sweden just nods in a cultured manner at how this video seems fairly accurate, and there's no particular need to comment on it.

I live in Gothenburg, specifically in Hammarkullen. There is police 24/7 everywhere trying to take down criminals because of drugs, burning cars and shootings. I will say that it will take 10 years till the country becomes a safe place to live.

Yes, the video is misleading in that sense. The crime levels were very high in 2005, they dipped afterwards and now they are back again. Still the rising crime also correspond to rising inequality and rising segregation. Immigration is not the only peice of the puzzle. Also worth keeping in mind is that of the criminals with immigrant background those first generation refugees and immigrants are in minorority, the largest part of those criminals are the children of immigrants who have grown up in an unfair segregated society with less opportunity to get a good education and find good jobs. While rising immigration plays a part economic and ethnic segregation is the main problem. (Also not to mention that the Police force have gotten less and less funding over the recent years for some very very stupid reason.)

I had a Swedish pancake for the first time the other day, oh my god it was good. Totally unrelated to how powerful they are, other than however much power it takes to have your own pancake. Anyway, keep up the good pancakes Sweden.
Swedish pancakes aren't a thing. Pancakes generally mean 3 different things. In the US you have those super thick ones you drown in butter and syrup. In France you have super thin pancakes called crêpes and then you have the "Germanic pancake" (that's not a name, but I use it because all the European Germanic countries seem to share the same pancake), which is like crêpes, but often with a littel more egg to flour, thus creating a softer more fluffy pancake, though they are still thin.

Average taxes for a Swede is around 30-35% If you earn more than 430 000SKR (about $55 000) in a year you also have to pay 20% extra in taxes on the amount that exceeds the 430 000SKR. If you for example earn 450 000SKR in a year you'll pay 30-35% in taxes for the 430 000SKR and for the 20 000SKR that exceeds you'll pay 30-35% + 20% in taxes.
Actually as a swede I have a few issues with what has been presented here. First, Crime HAS increased, its all about the cut off points in regards to years but lookin from 2007 to 2016, there is an increase of 200k reported crimes anually. (from 1.3, to 1.5 milion) And looking from 1975 we had abut 750 thousand reported crimes, culminating to about 1.3 million in 1990 when we had a huge influx of yugoslavian refugees (whom have integrated to about 80%after 8 years, and middle eastern and sub saharan have integrated both about 50% after 8 years) The amount of theft has decreased since the 90's, but the violent crimes has increased instead buy roughly the same percent as theft has gone down) Especially violence vs men where the assailant is unknown. If we look from 1975 we had about 22k total violent crimes reported, 2005 we had nearly 80k reported. Allso, the so called white supremasists are a fringe group of a few hundred to a few thousand ppl, the Swedish democrats are NOT white supremasists, their origin tho, 27 years ago was white supremasist, but they have since changed in the same way the Left party has dropped communism, and the Socialist party has stopped promoting sterilization of gypsys, and the mentally unstable, and lesbians etc.. All partys in sweden have dark stuff in their past, virtually all of them has changed since their creation tho. Today the Swedish democrats are basicly like the old socialistst party from the 1990's (wich closed the borders then for refugees because we had a huge influx of them in that year to, but the socialist party is not called racist for that.. yet the Swedish democrats are called racist for wanting the same policy today.. go figure).. this is getting TL:DR so Im gonna stop listing stuff you get a bit wrong.. This video is painfully biased, the fact that 25% of Sweden's population is foreign born means the indigenous Swedes will be replaced as the majority ethnic group by the Middle Eastern/North African population in a century, especially given the exceptionally high fertility rates in the Islamic population of Europe.

I am so happy they have a video on my future country, I will be moving there permanently in 6yrs once completing my education and some work abroad. Switching out the sun and sand of Hawaii for the snow and dark winters of Sverige. Although since spending my year abroad there I know it’s not the utopia it’s pointed out to be , it is still much better at handling many situations it comes across. Most people who hate high taxes here in the states say the government wouldn’t handle it right which is true the our government as it is now is not capable of making a sufficiently effective system and too many people don’t believe in the collective good, whereas Scandinavian sort of jante law makes for a stronger collective ideal which means we pay high taxes because we also seem the benefit from it, the U.S. system not so much. But yeah there are some racists in Sweden met some who demonstrated in my cousins town talked with police who said not to approach them and was surprised but fascinated since I have no experience racism here in the islands.
