    Buddy you can go to Tru-Lock as I have and get Invector Plus type replacement chokes. I would do as you say and I recommend a Extended Blackened stainless steel ported improved modified choke model. I have an over under 725 Feather 12 gauge using the Extended Blackened stainless steel ported chokes in improved cylinder and improved modified. Try Tru-Lock cokes my friend.

    Also drill a small drainage hole in the underside of the butt stock near the recoil pad so that water that gets in the stock can drain out and keep the steel rod in the butt stock from rusting.

    Winchester came out with the tactical sx4 this year for the shot show special. Could be a great alternative to the beretta 1301 or a300

    • @LakesnWoodsOutdoors
      @LakesnWoodsOutdoors  2 месяца назад

      Definitely could be! Price point is likely a bit lower too, would be a great option for those who don't want to spend close to $2000 CAD! I know the reliability would be good!

    • @aarontitusz8655
      @aarontitusz8655 2 месяца назад

      @@LakesnWoodsOutdoors I never understood the hype for the 1301 or a300 tbh. 1301 is full of plastic and feels flimsy as hell. 1301 used to be sub $1500 CAD which is a decent deal, now it’s $2000+ and a300 is like $1600. With that price tag you might as well get a benelli m4 which is built like a tank. Berettas QC has gone down quite a bit and I’ve seen to many problems/parts breaking with 1301 and a300. Just my 2 cents haha

      @@aarontitusz8655 I have definitely seen QC issues for most manufacturers and that does include Winchester, but I agree with you about the 1301, I personally like the fit of the A300 better and find it can be a bit more reliable.

    I'm looking for a duck gun. My stoeger m3000 is very unreliable ftf issues and just bad pattern.
    Should I just buy a side by side 12ga?
    How's the A300 beretta compared to the sx4?

    • @LakesnWoodsOutdoors
      @LakesnWoodsOutdoors  10 месяцев назад +1

      I think both the SX4 & A300 are upgrades, I am shocked you're having issues with the M3000 because I know quite a few guys with Stoeger M3 series and they're all phenomenal guns! Between the SX4 and A300 I think it'll really come down to which fits better, which ever points better you'll likely shoot better and be more successful, both are gas guns so they'll be a lot more reliable for cycling all loads but they will require more cleaning and maintenance in comparison to an inertia! The A300 will likely have better recoil reductions as well due to the Kick-Off system!
