    Dude, it's really awesome to see how your channel has evolved! I'm going through linear expressions now and can see how you adapted some of the lines. Very cool.

    One of the most astonishing things I've ever seen is Pat Martino backstage, warming up for a small gig.
    I was friends with people who ran a small venue in PA, and was hanging out alone in their backstage area. Pat Martino came in to do his warmups for the gig. To this day, I have no idea what that was. His actual gig (with Bobby Rose) was almost anticlimactic. I don't think I've ever heard anyone, even Allan Holdsworth, weave in and out of tonalities like Martino's "Pre-game" playing.

    Why can you ignore the f#m7 and B7? Is it thinking of them as sort of embellishments of the 2-5-1 so can lump them into that?

    If you only play minor language it gets a bit….samey?

      Youre thinking in minor but the substitutions you are using makes it not minor in context

    And how is the Bflat minor the same as the Eflat 7? Thank you.

      @dlgm161 Месяц назад

      Based on the answer given to my previous question, I assume the 2 is the Bflat minor, the 5 is the Eflat7 and 1 is the Aflat maj 7.

    Level 3 - how is G minor, the minor formation of C7?

      Hi do you know what a II V I ( 2 5 1 ) is?

    • @davidmiller4078
      @davidmiller4078 Месяц назад +2

      Because C7 is a Dominant cord of F major scale So the two cord is G minor all 3 cords use the same basic 8 notes of the F major scale hence the 2 5 1 cadence or patten found in all keys ? Just practise stuff you will get it

      @@dlgm161 ok basically when you have a 2-5 for example Gm/ C7 in the key of F you can skip the C7 and only play a Gm line.

    • @jameswilder5717
      @jameswilder5717 Месяц назад +1

      I mean.. there’s a Bb in Gm7. Therefore, all the notes would fit in C7. C E G Bb , while Gm7 being G Bb D F.. So really, you can play a Gm7 shapes over C7 without problems.
