I despise tribes, collectivism, herd mentality. The more you live for your own self the more you count on you...congregations of any kind fail due to people own individual needs. Selfish? Perhaps however if we think for ourselves you won't be so dependent on others needs schemes plans...be yourself in anyway you can...freedom.

I'm a 22 year old independent woman. And I don't belong to any tribe. It's not that I don't want to but it's more like I'm unable to socialize. During my teenage years, which is the prime age to form groups and socialize, I had put all my focus on my career. It was completely worth it. But I still feel empty because I don't really have anywhere to belong to.

Don't be afraid of awkwardness. Be humble. Be honest with yourself and others. And a difficult one, don't focus on what others may think.

@@drache444444 this whole concept is interesting to me. I didn't realize until recently the extent to which my "tribe" has formed my life. My tribe was the hardcore scene. Still is to an extent. It has, as I realized recently, touched almost every part of my life to differing extents. My younger brother came along about ten years too late. There is no longer any sort of scene in our area. And he is absolutely lost. When he describes the issues that he has and what he is looking for...all of that I found in the hardcore music scene. It's almost scary to see how he is struggling and to know that it could've easily been me had I made a couple different decisions.
