A member of that family is a then 16 year old girl who Megos has legal guardianship over. It was then announced by Megos that him and that girl were dating earlier this year. There is an industry-wide effort at sweeping this under the rug. Comments under videos with Megos that talk about the situation get deleted, no big names in climbing have mentioned this behavior.
So...a woman who is now 19 years old gradually fell in love with Megos, a handsome and successful dude who shares her passion and dedication to climbing and also happened to shelter her friends and family in a time of crisis and fear? Shocker. Are there allegations from her of any impropriety by Alex, or is this just Neo-Victorian moral authoritarianism? From their social media posts it appears that she's quite happy. This isn't some bizarre Woody Allen situation. How about we leave this pair of adults alone to enjoy their lives? How many of Alex's detractors also opened their house to Ukrainian refugees?

Not everyone is hanging out on reddit. Somehow there is basically zero information anywhere except reddit-comments. So get it together and assume that not everyone knows these allegations, true or not
Given that’s those around him in the space haven’t distanced themself I suspect they’re just online rumours. Megos has had a lot of trolls online for a long time.
The fact that people keep not even addressing the allegations at all is very revelatory, but I guess he’s very widely known and people want that sweet collab bag.
why does Magnus only feature male climbers on his channel? And why are we talking about an alleged sexual preditor in Alex? can we please give some focus to anyone other then cis-white male climbers????
He often had women on in the earlier years of the channel, before he got together with Marte. The lack of female representation has only really been noticeable for the past couple of years, since Marte stopped being in the videos. He did say he's been trying to get Janja for a long time but she's always too busy

Jana Švecová has a youtube channel and has done collabs with Josh Rundle, Anna Hazelnutt have a youtube channel too and do quite a lot of collabs, Matilda Söderlund is Swedish so it's close enough to Norway to met her, Erin Mcneice is an Olympian in the UK and he went to see Toby Roberts also in the UK so... why not her too ? etc... Either he don't ask them for a collab or they don't respond but Magnus, whatever he say, is nurturing in a way the boys band and gatekeeping aspect of climbing for almost half of the climbers around and that's a real shame for the biggest followed climbers.
