Every single song dropped so far for this new album has been a banger. Not just "ok". But hey, we're all entitled to our opinions. This band ages like fine wine.
This song probably hits harder for the long time fans more then it does newer ones. Only mike and Jeremy remain from the original line up and they pay homage to that in the video. Time is changing all around them and it’s difficult to keep up with the changes. That is the impression I get from this. keeping the music alive is incredibly difficult for Mike and Jeremy but they push on nonetheless and supported by new members that keep them focused.
This is the band that got me into metal back in 2009 and have been addicted ever since! I love your reactions and was so hyped you finally reacted to them!! I hope you do more on them!!!!!!
8:18 and Space were the last albums I enjoyed from TWDP. Almost every song was a banger. Since Transit Blues things just get more mellow and lose out on the energy and creativity they used to exhibit. Newer TDWP is not bad but it holds no interest for me. Bands evolve, art changes, and I'm glad many people still enjoy TDWP, but for me this is an easy pass.
Background on the band name - TDWP book came out first and they decided to name the band after it without reading the book lol. Later, when the movie came out, they realized the meaning behind the title (it being literal and not figurative) and how it doesn't suit the band at all but they just stuck with it. Originally they were going to name the band "five fish and a fish". Personally I don't think that name would have been any better :P
The saying goes in heaven and hell lore that The Devil Wears Prada if you've watched the TV series Lucifer he's the devil and he constantly says he wears Prada and of TDWP was made after the movie the directors of that movie can sue for stealing a movies name

TDWP was my favorite band for about a decade. Still love their music but the cleans in this one don’t do it for me. I wanted this song to be more gritty.
