I've always dreamed of a massive open world Star Wars game! Imagine this being able to travel to all the Star Wars planets and explore the galaxy. The community would be massive! Finding the iconic movie scene areas would be so fun :) Nice work!

That would be amazing! A great concept for a game...though I also would like to have an open world SW game...where you could play as established original trilogy character...Luke Skywalker,...the post Return of the Jedi period would do good for exploring more of Luke struggle to rebuild the Jedi Order, helping the New Republic to build up it's power base, fighting remnants of the Empire, exploring the long lost lore of the Jedi and Sith, expanding his Force powers! And hell having R2 as sidekick...Jedi Fallen Order style but in full on open world rpg would be AMAZING :)...at the very least Luke would be properly utilized as a character after disgrace of the sequels and what they did with him. A bounty hunter game though also would be interesting....Mandalorian seems to be one of the few decent things of SW nowadays.
An open world mandalorian game would go hard. Getting to explore the entire galaxy , collecting bounties , meeting a new cast of characters each time. I am surprised no studio has jumped on this yet.
@@jacobresor1197 afaik EA doesnt harbor the license of star wars anymore. it's back at disney, i think, and EA got the rights to do the fallen order game(s), which any other publisher can do now, as well, if they want to.. @fardihusain: a game of that size ultimatly fails, because you cant fill the world you are imagining with fun, interactive things to do without feeling repetetive at some point. that's the problem of modern open world games. they make these huge worlds, which on paper is awesome, and then have to fill it with tasks, so you have actually to do sth. there. when they run out of ideas or development time, they do the ubisoft and throw collectibals, tower to climb, generic treasure chests and two or three minigames in there and be done with it.
How come this demo felt like a dream? The star destroyer sized falcons hovering in the sky, the random suspension bridge, the movement. It feels exactly how dream spaces are rendered.
maybe you dream in that way beacause the hollywoodian images would have make people took an habit about seeing that kind of images. i mean, space themes are more or less the same when it's about the aesthetics.

Course they will. The engine is well optimised and scalable. Even the Matrix demo runs pretty well on modest hardware. Games companies these days are only concerned with loot boxes and profits rather than innovation.
One thing that I love about this is the verticality and sense of scale. The huge trees and the even bigger walkers (whatever they are called). The city, it's incredible. Correct me if I'm wrong, but most games nowadays lack verticality on their maps. Whether that's mountains that are missing, big canyons, huge enormous creatures. Hell, even in Cyberpunk unless I climb up rooftops to see the huge skyscrapers I never get this feeling of, ''oh damn I'm small''
Whenever I played Battlefront 2015, I dreamed of exploring the world beyond the borders even further. Also to traverse the areas in the background. Or even to change planets with a spaceship and maybe even found clans with other players, trade and fight against each other. Operate politics, conquer new areas as well as building and crafting.
@@plague6174 they weren’t, canonically. AT-AT’s have always been portrayed as extremely slow, even in the latest movies. Plus a machine of that size and which moves on legs rather than wheels, would be realistically extremely slow.

A game like this IS being realized.. and is already playable. It's still alpha and it's taking a very long time.. but it's a thing. It's called Star Citizen. A lot of inspiration comes from Star Wars even.
@@sqlevolicious No, it has not. It's kickstarter was 10 years ago. Development didn't start until after that... and nothing was playable really until 2015 unless you count a few test modules. I literally have said it's taking a long time.. but don't say it's 11 years when it's not.

Having an entirely open world game where you can customize your characters origin and attributes would be amazing. Can you imagine being able to choose your own ship, weapons, quests which reflect on your character. We are coming into the age of some pretty big gaming capabilities. I look forward to it
People who are too young to remember Star Wars Galaxies Online, where before a game-breaking update, they had a full, hidden, complex questline to become a Jedi; so much so that there were only like ten or twenty Jedi on a server. Customizable Space Ships. Space battles in PVP zones. Full blown wars. And then they shut down the servers.

It would take years to develop, would be buggy as hell, almost 80 percent of the gaming devices wouldn't be able to run it properly, and it would be full of microtransactions.

This is an incredible render. I've seen a few other people mention it, but the community needs another open world game like Star Wars Galaxies from many moons ago. Obviously the graphics were nowhere near Unreal Engine level but it felt like such a complete game. True open world, factions, ability to forge your own career, get involved with planet politics, go on huge raids, build your own houses and ships and create your own items. Need a game studio to make it happen!

Because concept are just that - concepts. It’s the same reason many people think horror shorts are better than full movies: the fans’ imaginations fill in the blanks that, in reality, make up most of the actual work required to create a playable game.
Better is most often because it's not achievable, just like this one is. Too intensive for a large open-world game with the features used and how they're executed. Hence why you can have amazing CG cinematics but games don't often appear the same. There's reality and then there's concept.
The amount of time and budget that would be needed to make something like this into a full game would be insane and they probably won't see it as feasible.
I so want an open world, planet to planet, create your own story type of Star Wars game. Whether it be Bounty Hunter, thug, Jedi, Sith, Droid, Trooper. I hope such a thing can be made into fruition.
Does everything always have to be perfect? The world is not perfect, you are not perfect, games are not perfect. It gets easier when you accept things as they are. That's how you find peace. But always look for the negative.
Personally, I fkn love it! small things like the screen shaking, the speed of the AT-ATs, love the weight of the Razor Crest, and movement speed of mando. Again, absolutely loved this! I hope to see more of this in a year or two!
This is amazing! My only gripe is that the city constructions doesn't look as intimidating as they should (like the tallest building seems smaller/about the same size as a walker in comparison). Otherwise, perfect
Back in 2003 I used to play a game called Star Wars Galaxies. To this day the best MMORPG I've ever played. I wish they'd bring it back in it's original form with Unreal 5!
@@-jaydee- breath of the wild doesn't have spaceships, blasters, lightsabers, interworld/galaxy travel, bounty credit system, etc etc botw has semi-decent graphics, not very good though, it also has an ending story, and you can complete the game fairly easily

The transitions from planet to space is a very creative workaround for loading in the new space. Very aesthetically pleasing too.

Personally, I fkn love it! small things like the screen shaking, the speed of the AT-ATs, love the weight of the Razor Crest, and movement speed of mando. Again, absolutely loved this! I hope to see more of this in a year or two!

This is amazing! My only gripe is that the city constructions doesn't look as intimidating as they should (like the tallest building seems smaller/about the same size as a walker in comparison). Otherwise, perfect

Back in 2003 I used to play a game called Star Wars Galaxies. To this day the best MMORPG I've ever played. I wish they'd bring it back in it's original form with Unreal 5!

botw has semi-decent graphics, not very good though, it also has an ending story, and you can complete the game fairly easily
This is such a dream game. Not even just Din, imagine creating a Mandalorian and exploring through the galaxy as a mercenary in multiplayer with other Mandalorians. A total dream, but we’ll probably never get it
