Algoforce E1500 firmware upgrade process, simple as can get.

A new firmware is coming from Algoforce for the E1500, I was given a test version of it to try out, and its fantastic, just what I wanted.
This video shows just how easy the detector is to update, a few seconds.
Release Notes for AlgoForce E1500 Software v1.0.8:
1. The activation time for a long key press function has been reduced from 1.5 seconds to 0.7 seconds. For example, the time duration between pressing and holding the ground balance key and the commencement of actual ground balancing is now 0.7 seconds, as opposed to 1.5 seconds. Other functions requiring a long key press are similarly affected, including vibration adjustment and auto frequency scan.
2. In version 1.0.7, Pinpoint mode and the main detection mode shared the same volume and vibration controls. With the introduction of v1.0.8, Pinpoint mode now features independent volume and vibration controls separate from the main detection mode. Users can customize their preferred volume and vibration settings in either mode. Furthermore, the volume and vibration settings in both modes are saved during power down for convenience.

Wow, that's a great response from AlgoForce. That pinpoint would have been annoying with headphones from what I've seen in your vids.👍

yes, it's super cool being able to do firmware updates at home and not having to send the detector back to the manufacturer for updates, if you know what I mean, especially when I'm not in the country where they're made.

Hi I'm having trouble updating, com says need 'dpinst_amd64.exe'. Is that I need a new driver before I can update? Thanks Simon.

What version of windows are you? If you're 10 or 11 you don't need drivers, if you're below them they offer the required USB driver on their website download section you have to install first.
