Here is what I do - and it will be a solid 12-36 months results for not much more effort: 1 - You want the green tape that’s specifically meant to go onto automotive paint 2 - 600;1000;1500;3000 grit 3 - 3m hard plastic lens restorer or chemical guys headlight restorer - you want these because they’re high in oil content which will help penetrate into the lens for clarity. You want to actually use a 3” buffer attachment or drill attachment 4 - alcohol wipe 5 - Meguaires headlight spray - this IS the best on the market period no questions asked. There’s no substitute! You want to be sure to double or triple the tape in areas where you will be sanding As your experience grows you can graduate to dry sanding using the discs from 3m… otherwise it’s good to start out wet sanding even though it will take longer it’s better to practice and go slow the first few headlights you work on… Once you start sanding using a drill - be sure to get aluminum tape to go over your green tape ( critical you do NOT put aluminum tape onto the paint!!)… You could also consider a morimoto projector retrofit if you want to go crazy with it - lightwerkz and theretrofit source are worthy of looking into for Tacoma specific upgrades. Please do NOT “just” put bright LED lights in those oem housings - that’s what low class lazy individuals do… Hope this helps!!! I am betting 10 months later they probably faded back with an exception for the cerecote but nothing will beat just spending 15 more minutes and follow the above steps.
