Great video! Cole loves truck rides! 🥰 buuut I want a bunch of kids so “get yourself a suburban” is in my future, hopefully 🤣
😂😂
The only kid I have is a big baby 75lbs mastiff Sheppard mix named Diesel but he loves the bed of the truck moreso than inside the truck 🤣😎👍🏽
Heck yeah! That’s awesome😂💪 my goof-ball golden retriever will stay in the truck bed when he’s muddy but prefers the inside, he knows he’s spoiled😂
@@OutdoorTaco 🤣👍🏽mine sheds too much and he's spoiled but will remain in the bed due to hair everywhere on my seats 🤣
Great video so far we have a 2007 4 door we have a 18 year old 6 and 8 year old with the 5 foot bed it’s just enough room to go camping for a weeknd or so
Sure wish I could find a good affordable rear seat cover kids are starting to stain it all up
Recently picked up a arb bull bar winch bumper because won’t take much to total these trucks out we have a lot of deer and elk around here in western wa so I wanted it to be little safer
That’s awesome! Sounds like a great family ride for you guys! My back seat cover is a Dickies from Walmart, it’s meant for dogs but I can imagine it works well in any situation-even kids🤷♂️😂 I need something on my front end that’s for sure, I’m planning on getting a new heavier-duty bumper. Thanks for sharing!😁👍
Awsome thanks I’ll take a look there
DUDE, Why didn't you clean the whole thing and add rust prevention to the area while you had it apart?!! It would have made sense to be proactive in making the most of the opportunity while you were working on the project. Just saying, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
At 4:45 I mention cleaning it, thank you for adding some feedback!😁👍
What year Tacoma?
2014 TRD Sport, be sure to check out some of the other videos while you’re here😁
You don’t have to pull the bumper. FYI
Nice
Thank you! I’m excited for snow season this year!
@@OutdoorTaco no problem 👍. I’m also exited for the snow season. We’re supposed to get dumped on in Canada this year!!!
Perfect Video. Thanks for your help.
I’m glad I could help! Thank you for the kind feedback!
Great vid! 5 more to hit 1000!! Let’s hit it! 🤘🏽
You already know!💪
Thanks I followed, used the same grease. Instructions were spot on!
Sweet! I’m glad it worked out!
@@OutdoorTaco you’re the Taco Titan!
What part of Utah? I’m in southern Utah.
Sweet! This was west of Beaver😁
We need that
Fun video! I hope you found some big boy elk! Love our hats 😎😎
Thank you!!
Those wildpeaks are lookin nice and chunky bro 👍🏽👍🏽how's the paint on the hoodscoop holding up in the heat??
Really really well actually! My DIY paint job + clear coat + I did a wax job on it as well and it’s held up nicely👌
@@OutdoorTaco awesome 👍🏽👍🏽
Awesome bro 👍🏽👍🏽
Thank you as always! Have you had a chance to visit Moab?!
@@OutdoorTaco never been there but would love to drive my taco through there , looks like fun 👍🏽
It’s worth the hype, growing up in Utah we’ve been a ton and there’s always something new and cool to see
@@OutdoorTaco awesome, maybe one day I'll get to visit, would you be opposed to any muddin videos? I can't remember if I've asked you that already 🤣
Mud season is right around the corner here in Utah so yeah I can get some mud on the tires!
Great video man, love the content!
HUGE thank you! I appreciate the kind feedback!🙏💪
2014. 4 wheel drive. 200,000 miles. No issues at all. Only changed engine oil and filters. Did a brake job but that might have been premature. My daily driver and it's used to go all over the deer lease with steep hills and plenty of rocks. I plan to keep it forever.
That’s awesome! Thank you for sharing I plan on mine lasting forever as well!💪🤘
I worked on my 2013 tacoma and when I unscrewed the overflow, about 2 quarts of transmission fluid came out and the transmission was cold. When I jumped the OBD 2, the A/T temp light never came on. I had it on for like 15 mins or more and never flashed or came on. I drove it around on the freeway, came home, and jumped the OBD 2 and, still, the light didn't come on.
Did you shift from N-D as described in the video as well as the TacomaWorld write-up linked in the description? Did the dash lights blink like a Christmas tree like I mentioned when you jumped the OBD and then turned the key on? Again I’m no expert I just love DIY project and sharing my experience😁 But It sounds like you’re good to go fluid level wise. As for the AT/TEMP light, watch it for the next little while. If it comes on you know you need to do the AT-temp-check-mode reset again. If it doesn’t come on, I think you’re fine.
@@OutdoorTaco Yes. And yes. Drove tested it on the freeway. Shifted fine. Will keep an eye on it.
Let me know how it goes and if there’s anything else I can help with!
I love the grille you got on the front. Did your truck come with it or you buy it? and if u did buy it I would love to know where u got it from. Great video!
Thanks! I bought the grille- I actually have a video on it that’s just before this video you watched! HUGE thank you if you snag one using the affiliate links in the description😁🙏
@@OutdoorTaco Got it, thank you so much! I’ll make sure to use your link😁
Sweet! Again thank you!
You really need to do this drain & refill process a number of times until your fluid is clean meaning the dark colour has gone. I found i had to do mine 4 times to get it clean. Also an easier way to take your correct temp reading of the fluid ( between 97F-115F) for getting its desired fluid level right is using a handheld lazor temp gun shooting for 100F as the fluid will be slightly hotter than the metal pan which the gun takes the reading from. Good idea to replace the drain plug crush sealing ring with a new one on the last refill as the original will be flattened out for sure and could seap
Thank you for adding your thoughts!
👍
Thank you for tuning in!
@OutdoorTaco Thank you for responding. Have you done your serpentine belt yet? Tensioner too? I have on 07, 225k miles. Never changed the tensioner, figured I would this time but not sure if it's a simple few bolts to remove & replace.
You forgot to add the 3m double side adhesive tape.
My blower motor completely went out, looking to order an OEM blower along with the resistor and harness, I checked the clutch on the compressor and it engages when turning on the ac so I'm glad it's not that, and both the relay and fuse are in good condition, so seems like another DYI I can do and not give the stealership my hard earned money 🤣👌🏾
Nice, good looking out at all the other possible issues. This job is 10 times easier to DIY🤘
Looks good bro, when I was looking for aftermarket headlights for my taco actually looked at these, but then the alpharex luxx in alpha black grabbed my attention and went with those, no regrets had em 3 years now no problems along with the taillights also alpharex luxx in alpha black, totally changes the look of the truck 👍🏽👍🏽
That’s sweet, I do like the alpharex look they’ve got some good stuff
hi men, ty 4 ur contend , for me is very useful . I hope u still update more content
More to come! Thank you
Great video. Gonna tackle the transmission filter replacement as well on '07. Keep these coming!
Sweet! Thank you for the feedback, much appreciated!🙏💪
Hey brother thank you for the stickers, I didn't expect that, much appreciated they look awesome 👍🏽👍🏽I have a toyota first aid kit.... My wife saw it one day and asked "why?" 😂😂😂
Yup no problem! But that’s awesome I’ve seen those around and I think I’ll snag one next chance!😂
@@OutdoorTaco 😆👍🏽
is there a way to not have to use the h7 bulb it comes with and put an adapter for your own HIDs or LED kit instead???
From what I can tell, you can as long as it fits the 3-prong harness from the truck. I’ve messed with it and as long as the new bulb fits the hole on the inside of the headlight you should be okay. As always I’m no expert that’s what my experience has led me to. Use your best judgment and don’t forget to enjoy the process!😁💪 let me know if there’s anything else I can help with these!
As someone who has a Tonneau Cover, unless you totally seal the inside of your bed, you still need to have your gear bagged to keep the road dust off of it. Cause all that dust comes in the holes and whirls over everything and can be worse than not having one in the first place. So, this would be really good for me to look into. Thanks for the video.
Mine looks the same. Toyota last forever but not the paint.
Agreed! Thanks for being here! This was a tough project for me, a first timer, but I think it turned out great
Outdoor Taco, You're the best! I just had to subscribe!
Hey thank you so much!!💪🤘
Now watch, I’m going to get pulled over for what I said at the end😂😂😅
So sick dude, I'm going for the first time in a few days. 😁
Good luck!
Japanese junk is break away every day. It’s total junk. This gas guzzler is built so cheaply it’s absolutely worthless in the USA
To each their own I guess, thank you for keeping it cool!🤘
I never could get the transmission light to come on. Ran it to get up to temp. Had more come out of overflow than expected. Is this normal?
If you did NOT see any fluid come out of the overflow I’d be worried- so that’s a positive!💪😁 but again as mentioned I’m no expert however I found that depending on how warm your truck is/was before starting this process is what will have an effect on that light. That being said, as long as you followed the instructions in the video; and feel free to check out the TacomaWorld write-up in the description (shifting in and out of N-D back to park) and some fluid came out of the overflow- you’re good to go. I hope this helped! Let me know if there’s anything else I can help with!
Thanks - I just bought a BodyArmor Molle panel system (front & sides) for my Tacoma and thought I would check out your video before I attempted the install. I greatly appreciate the little tips/suggestions to be aware of during the install as I found over the years there is no substitute for experience!
Awesome! Thank you for your feedback! Good luck on your project!💪🤘
I added a 7" touchscreen Pioneer radio, JBL 4-way speakers in the front, 6.5 3-way JBL speakers in the rear doors. A back up camera, a wraparound brush guard up front, vent shields on all doors. An ARE hard cover over the bed. Tinted front windows to match with the limo tint visor strip. Finally, 267/75/16 all-terrain tires. LED bulbs almost everywhere possible. Thinking about a pedal commander. If you drive under 65 mph it does ok on gas but anything faster the 4.0 engine loves, it.
Nice!! Feel free to share pictures!🤘
I have a 2012 with 166k miles on it. I'm 50 workout healthy good shape and have to say Its a horrible daily driver in terms of comfort. a one hour trip feels like I got dropped kicked onto concrete. I had to tow my boat for 4hr and had to take the next day off I was so beat down. Everything else is fine with the truck love it. But as a daily driver no way. My back goes out to everyone who has to do it.
Oh man, I’m 25 so I have yet to experience this pain daily driving my Tacoma😬😂 Thank you for adding this!
wow, on your gas mileage.. Before hypermiling my 2013 SR5, access, V6, 4x4, 6-MT on 33" tires i was getting 17-17.5. After hypermiling I get 24.4 - but there's a lot to it.
I've got 348,619 on my 05 Tacoma should I do this twice or you think once is enough. Haven't changed the fluid in awhile. Maybe I'll go with High Milage if they make it.
Twice wouldn’t hurt- again I’m no expert so take that as you will. I figure with higher mileage and depending on how your old fluid looks; doing this ‘refresh’ multiple times would be a great maintenance for your transmission. Again, see how you feel about it after seeing the condition of the current old fluid that’s in there now. I hope this was helpful! Thank you for tuning in!
