Yeah I like it too, and I think Canon has always been in the front on colour rendering, though I don't know about the new RF line of cameras, as I haven't had one.
I love the colours that you get from canon cameras I have a 1000D and A 7D mark ll and have recently seen a 500 D but body only in a camera shop although the price is high I might consider getting as it fits nicely between the two I already have for pixel size and the 500d seems very similar to the 1000d but with a higher mega pixel count
Its like photos vs video. The best cheap Canon camera in 2024 is still the Canon 6D. But for video? No! Of course not. Just like the 500D, great for photos but videos. Nah.
Mine is the 700D bought in 2018
I think it still worthy to learn today
I fully agree 😊
The color rendering of the 500D is insanely good and film-like.

I bought my 500D ten years ago and still use it. Very good camera.
Happy to know you have the same experience

Oh yes, that would be a nice setup. 7D is also wonderful, I have had the mark I which I liked though it had some minor flaws.
Could you by any chance make a review with Magic Lantern installed on the 500D ?.
Keep up the good work 🤓
Just one problem, as I have a mirror issue with my camera at the moment.

What do you suggest for taking videos 📸 ?? Cheap and well working
