Already?! That’s incredible! I have a ‘23 Raptor and I had to wait 15 months for it. I was like a kid at Christmas when I got the message it was on its way, then when it arrived and was at the port and when I finally was able to go and pick it up lol. I have driven the Wildtrak and you won’t be disappointed they are incredible. I was going to get one in the end I went down the path of the Raptor
EuropCar gave us a Wildtrak in Cairns because of the size of our group … I admit that I was cynical about its handling and ride, but I can now see why they say the Aussie engineers have nailed its suspension. You also get so much more - totally understand now why people buy them. For the record, we did the winding and beautiful drive up to Port Douglas, plus the Kuranda range, Gillies range and palmerston range, but no off-road except for a corrugated 800 meter drive into a farm. We did 700klms and averaged 8.5 lts/100 but I drove it like I paid my own money for it … yes I looked after it.
Definitely agree the ranger has the best ride and from what I’ve driven the better lane departure assist. Hollis lane departure tried to take me off the road during a curved road. Just wish they’d start including things like heads up display and ventilated cooled seats which are amazing in our summers
Nice vid review. @@drivingenthusiastaustralia That's just awesome.... having a pregnant fairy tell her opinion can persuade more families to 'adopt' a Ranger. @drivingenthusiastaustralia I got white, that was the only colour I could get this year. Tbh it's not that much over a 4 cylinder premium pack wildtrak. 76 for a my24 wildtrak vs 81 for a my23.5 wildtrak x
@drivingenthusiastaustralia Noticed you were driving out on Menangle Rd. Getting the car next month. Where abouts did you do most of the off road stuff on the video?
@@drivingenthusiastaustraliaI agree on both counts. I have a ‘23 Raptor and it cost me more then my Mustang!! I almost went the Wildtrak because I struggled at first to come to terms with 100k for a Ranger, whether it’s a Raptor or not. When I went to pick it up as I was paying for it I will admit I was asking myself if I’d done the right thing but since no regrets. I love it. My mrs on the other hand… she loves it to and amazingly loves driving it but won’t let me live down the fact I told her I was going to buy a Widtrak ( which I was) but came home having bought a Raptor lol. At present I’m no longer allowed to go to a dealership on my own 😂
Yeah, we bought this exact Ranger model, and the back kind of jumps and goes up and down with each bump due to the suspension when we do not have weight in the back. That is why my goal build is to build a canopy on the back so it adds weight to the vehicle so the back doesn't bounce as much. We tow sometimes and it tows amazingly. The Ranger has Coil suspension which is more relaxed then Leaf Spring suspension. Riding in the Ranger and majority of utes with a canopy slapped on the back fixes the bouncy back problem! But I understand that not everyone can spend ups to 15-25k on a Canopy set up.
Maybe in 2025 ... fingers crossed, Ford really have stepped up their game, for the better, long shot from XF and EA falcons LOL@@drivingenthusiastaustralia
Which vehicle would provide better durability and longevity, the 3.0 V6 Wildtrak or the Wildtrak X? I am looking to purchase one of the above Ute’s or even the AmaroK 3.0 V6 Style but will be keeping the vehicle for at least 10 years or so
@drivingenthusiastaustralia just a quick question if you DP Chip the engine to 180-190kw and add throttle control wouldn’t the WildTrak X leave the V6 stock engine in the wind and only cost you $150@-$2000 more ?
Why isn't lengthening the interior of the vehicle and shortening the body part a little optional? Everyone knows that the back seat of these vehicles is very upright and very bad for the passengers. Will the people who buy the truck necessarily carry loads? Would it be bad if the chassis section was 50 cm shorter and they used this distance to expand the interior cabin?
The bed is too short already. The backseats of mid-size pickups are better suited for kids than adults. If you want comfort in the back seat, get a full size. Lots of room in the back seat of my F450.
Ford ranger very good agile driving performance but more expansive to maintain when come to Rally cross country extreme offroad championship it loose behind to Mitsubishi Triton better perfect driving performance very good fast always winners in rally Dakar or Asia AXCR Thailand to cambodia
2.0L V6 Diesel should be good enough for Ranger Wildtrak for market like Australia, Southeast Asian countries, South Asian countries and African countries......I think 3.0L V6 Diesel and petrol engines should be suitable for US market ......
As a modern minded individual I cant wait to see the RAINBOW version and the very excitedly rumored tampon where the cigarette lighter used be. Go Ford.
1 it’s a bi turbo for that money needs the v6 lip stick in a wild trax shell 2 those wheels are so wrong Embarrassing black sheep of the next gen family

Great review, my brother, just bought mines three weeks ago. This is the great design Ford has come up with.
I am super enjoying it.
Really does need to be offered with optional V6 motor .... USA models have a sliding rear window .... odd how we don't down under. Good review.
Yeah that’d be cool. Thanks 👍

I like the X but …To be honest the 2.0 with 10 speed auto
automatic is not the best combination….i have chosen the platinum with 3.0 v6 it’s amazing
Yep, would have got the X if it had a V6. Ordered the platinum instead, do wish it had an 18" AT option though.
I like the color
i am looking to buy wildtrack x or tremor. What are major disadvantages on these two?
Was this at belanglo? I thoight they were closed but i guess not

What is the wheel offset of this? I'm guessing it's 25mm? 20mm maybe? 🤔
Can the infotainment screen be put to sleep?
How is the B&O Sound System? Does something vibrate if turned on 100% with bass? :)

You could DP Chip the engine then it would perform better then the V6 engine 🤷
