    There's hundreds of videos and websites explaining weather systems with various different types of animations etc; yet this one lady with a whiteboard, in a single unscripted unedited take, filmed by a low res cheap camera from the 90s, is better than all of them!

    Cyndy... if you’re reading this. I just thought you should know that I learn so much better on your whiteboard videos than the fancy animated videos others create. Thank you so much! 📕 Here’s my logbook. You can sign it.

    Very well explained. Simple and to the point. Others would have charged for this. Better audio quality will be great. Gratitude.
    Thanks Cyndy

    I love Cyndy’s videos. However, this one is a bit misleading at times. Both warm and cold fronts are usually associated with low pressure systems.

    Hey Cyndy, so is a low always associated with a warm front? Or can you have a low pressure cold front? Excellent video, it’s greatly appreciated!!

    Cindy how I can determine the dew point temperature? I mean, I can measure the temperature trough a thermometer but what about the dew point? Is it probably a stupid question I know..

    Coriolis effect happens on earths surface or higher altitudes or both?

  • @justinlovell
    @justinlovell 4 года назад

    I’m a little confused. Using your bbq analogy, if you let out some pressure and there are less molecules and more room to move around, shouldn’t it be less dense, and then become warmer? If there is more pressure and molecules can’t move around much, shouldn’t it be colder and more pressure?

    Hi,
    Thank you. In your illustration of the propane tank: as long as there was liquid propane in the tank, most of the cooling would come from the liquid propane changing state to a gas. Hope this helps, Frank

    I thought high pressure and low pressure both move counter clockwise in the northern hemisphere, and the convection current that forms between both these pressure systems is a clockwise rotation. But in the video she says that the high pressure system moves clockwise? someone help please..

    • @CassandraRi
      @CassandraRi 3 года назад +2

      Hey there - in the Northern Hemisphere, high pressure systems move clockwise, down, and out. Low pressure systems move counter-clockwise, up, and in. Hope that helps!

      Jared Nye what’s going on there? I just passed my AGI btw and it is 2 degrees .

    • @POOK-E
      @POOK-E 5 лет назад +2

      @@Fraiyia Adiabatic cooling (adiabatic lapse rate) is not the same s Standard Lapse rate. You are thinking of Standard lapse rate. She mentions that adiabatic cooling cools at a rate independent from the standard rate. That is what she is getting at. They are 2 different things. To complicate things even more, adiabatic lapse rate will change based on how moist or dry the air is.

      Probably someone who looked at her frontal placement in that diagram. I think I threw up a little myself when she drew the cold front between the high and the low.
