[4K] Lufthansa Boeing 747-400 Takeoff at Hamburg Airport 2023

During May 2023, with the ramp up in air travel continuing at rapid rate, Lufthansa began returning their classic Boeing 747-400s to service on more routes. As part of it, they operated a series of crew training flights between Frankfurt and Hamburg, on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I was very fortunate to fly on a 747, on the inbound flight, the first training flight as well. Videos from that to follow soon.
Here’s the 747 returning back to Frankfurt after a quick 40-minute turnaround, filmed from the Hamburg Airport observation deck. Lufthansa are one of the last 747 passenger operators worldwide, and don’t plan on retiring their 747s for years to come, with cabin retrofits planned from late 2025 onwards.
