While I personally do prefer some english voices over the japanese ones (Felicia for example), I do mostly prefer the japanese critical quotes for some reason. It just seems like no matter who they are every female character in Japanese dubs I find all sound like they’ve been huffing helium or something! XD I feel like Persona Q2 was one of the few games where this was more or less absent.... (But Teddie was happy to fill the the void)

I think both voices suits her character, but in the english version they should have left the same lines, Peri sounds out of character with those lines in the english version. About her japanese voice, Peri is childish that's why she sounds like this.

Mario Levan Kind of true, but that doesn't mean they didn't try to nail the voices for their corresponding character. Matthew Mercer did a phenomenal job with Ryoma, Shigure, and Azama. Other characters like Kaden, Azura, Soleil, Odin, Ophelia and female Corrin just straight up had the va that suited their personalities so well.

Daisuke Ono the voice actor of Kaze and Frederick but for me I prefer the Japanese Dub more because well I'm more used to it and the English Dubs are rather bland to me also Ougi is my favourite Crits Quotes of Ryoma and Shinonome/Shiro
I still dont get why people hate it, sure she sounds kinda too manly and her voice is too deep, but I still like her voice even in english (Though I must say, I do prefer some of the voices in japanese, Effie proooobably included, but than there are some that just don't fit imo)

I really prefer japanese voice because of the "variety"... For me the english have a lot of units who have the same kind of voice... this make kinda boring. But when have a great english voice is really better than japanese's. I freaking loved Hinata's english voice... ;¬;
Eh, I don't really know. Some of the Japanese voices are miles better than the English ones (like Siegbert) but I can't stand some of the Japanese voices, mostly the higher-pitched squealing voices (although I actually like Sakura's voice in this case, which is an anomaly for me). Plus, I really don't like Charlotte's or Oboro's Japanese voice either. They just sound off. Although, I do agree that some of the English VA's totally nailed their character. Oboro's English voice was so great.

Whoa, Ryoma has two Awakening references if you count both languages: You deserve(d) worse for Tharja in English, "Damn you" for Grima in Japanese. Also, Inigo's quotes are nearly the same as his Awakening criticals. Not to mention Robin uses ShadowofChaos725's favorite voice.
Something that would make lethality even cooler is if it does 999 dmg because it's kind of underwhelming to see that red screen with the blood and characters in black and it would have done like 18 dmg, even if someone dies with that amount of damage, it's like: bro...

I do love both dubs, English just as much as japanese, but there's one reason why I like the Japanese dub a little more.
It's called Daisuke Ono.
Daisuke Ono the voice actor of Kaze and Frederick but for me I prefer the Japanese Dub more because well I'm more used to it and the English Dubs are rather bland to me also Ougi is my favourite Crits Quotes of Ryoma and Shinonome/Shiro

god damn we butchered Effie's english voice.
I still dont get why people hate it, sure she sounds kinda too manly and her voice is too deep, but I still like her voice even in english (Though I must say, I do prefer some of the voices in japanese, Effie proooobably included, but than there are some that just don't fit imo)
The problem is not the voice, it's the execution (besides the character rewriting they did)

It's worse than Henry. To Henry they added jokes, which is a questionable change, but he kept his crudeness. Effie went from gentle giant completely to a dutch, which is much more radical, and less ok

Sorry but if you say that you clearly dont know how different he is in english and japanese version, they completly butchered his personality and his main traits he had, basicly made him in death and blood loving maniac without purpose, doing it just "cause it is fun", in japanese he was nothing like it and he was actually rather nice character, Effie on other hand is still nice enough even in english, I am not saying she wasnt better in japanese, thats question of personal preference, but she is nowhere near Henry's lvl of screwing things up, and people that made awakening shown that they CAN make characters more interesting - Gregor - But what they did with Henry is kinda sad
On other hand, Effie may be stereotype of devoted follower but it fits her role and I personally enjoy it

Eh, I don't really know. Some of the Japanese voices are miles better than the English ones (like Siegbert) but I can't stand some of the Japanese voices, mostly the higher-pitched squealing voices (although I actually like Sakura's voice in this case, which is an anomaly for me). Plus, I really don't like Charlotte's or Oboro's Japanese voice either. They just sound off.
Although, I do agree that some of the English VA's totally nailed their character. Oboro's English voice was so great.

Charlotte supposed to be ass crazy, and English VA nailed the changed character. Not the original character, because personality are different...
