So this happened one day when I randomly loaded up a save state from my hardtype burial chamber attempts. Why does it happen? Well I believe it's a glitch caused by how hardtype's new Anti-Magic ability interracts with innate immunity. For some reason it causes the damage multiplier to max out at 32767. Normally this wouldn't matter since the void cancels out the damage, but because Sakahagi has pierce Uzume takes x327 damage from his force spells. Note that this particular Uzume also went through a lot of weird transformations with cheat codes so it might just be something to do with that. This needs further testing.

Another bug I've found out:
If Demi-fiend have the Anti-Fire skill while ingesting Gehenna (Drain Fire), he will repel fire attacks instead of draining it.
I don't know if the same thing happen to demons who naturally drains fire.
There's some weird resistance stuff going on in Hardtype
I gave Thor, who natively drains elec, Anti-Magic and he repelled elec attacks afterward
i think anti- skills in hardtype might increase resistances actually
@@HuangLongGaming Yes that's how it works, Drain is a level 3 resistance and Resist is a Level 1, they add up to become a Level 4 resist and that's repel. Normally the higher level resistance just overwrites the lower level one but in hardtype they stack.

I seem to have observed the same thing with an Anti-Magic Surt (who naturally drains Fire and learns Elec Drain)...this interaction ends up causing him to repel both of those types instead of draining them.
I thought I somehow did something wrong by cheating in the skills to bypass random inheritance (and to make it as if sacrificial fusion allowed for skills to be learned immediately, which included cheating in Elec Drain and Ragnarok in this case)

Fun fact: there's a very specific way of breaking the damage calculation on the protag, as well as other demons (I've only done this on PCSX2, so take this with a grain of salt). Note that this not only the use of cheats, but also doing an exploit on said cheats which requires turning one of them on and off.
Step 0 (protag only): use cheats to change the demon race for him, otherwise you'll be stuck on the level up screen when you get to step 5.
Step 1: Get to max level (can be done more easily with exp cheats)
Step 2: Use a cheat to set the level back down to 99
Step 3: Save
Step 4: Turn the level cheat off (otherwise you'll be stuck on level 99; may require a reset)
Step 5: Get into a fight, earn exp, thus immediately reaching max level again (this is where the demon race cheat for the protag comes in)
Congratulations, you can now one-shot Lucifer with a normal attack.

Hardtype's damage numbers sometimes explode on you in weird ways. I've had Magma Axis do 100 damage, and a repelled Hell Exhaust do 50k.

Is that the actual damage cap in Nocturne? I remember vanilla P5 also having a cap of ~105k
I don't think so. The best way to test if there's a hard cap that we could reach is maybe to give her Makarakarn and bounce a Carnal Winds back on Luci for extreme damage. Bonus points if there's a way to raise his magic to +4 first.

Would Anti-Magic and Makarakarn on Yurlungur and/or Michael be more effective since they both void elemental magic innately? That way, you probably wouldn't have to wait for Lucifer to cast Carnal Winds specifically (I think; I'm not 100% Surt-ain).
Yeah good point, although I think Phlegethon and Carnal Winds might have higher damage modifiers than the other 2 if zombero followed the pattern of the rest of the game (ice/elec spells are usually slightly weaker than their fire/force equivalents)
@@JimReaperSaysUnsubscribe I finally got around to testing this by bringing both Michael and Yurlungur with Anti-Magic and Makarakarn, plus Dante for Provoke. Kagutsuchi surprisingly screwed over my level 58 NG+ DF several times, but I decided to try Makarakarn there and won the fight with a ~100k reflected Mabufudyne (which would have been greater if I had been using Rakunda, Taunt, or Provoke instead of Debilitate).
When I got to Lucifer, I opened up with double Makarakarn into Provoke, and Lucifer's first attack was Phlegethon...which hit him for *_over 600k!_* Which would've amounted to *_1.2M_* if the game displayed both reflects...

I think Pierce doesn't affect ailment skills still. Only physicals and the 4 elemental magics
