Hope you've enjoyed this Nocturne filled weekend. I'd love to stay and play some more but apparently I'll end up homeless and destitute if I don't do things other than SMT. Some parting thoughts: - 10:51 was scary as hell. If Slime had gone down too I don't think I could've pulled it back. - I generally don't attack with Choronzon because he misses a lot, even at +2 accuracy. He's basically just a big meatshield. - I potentially missed out on Force Drain at the end there, but I wasn't gonna throw the win away by having him change it to something useless. - I have no idea if all those other demons in my party would be useful in the future, I was just levelling them because it seemed wasteful not to, especially with compendium access coming up. - If I pick this run up again, lvl 13 Dante is the next big roadblock and honestly I am more scared of him than Matador. I would have to get a Blob via fusion accident, but not sure about the 4th member... another overlevelled Slime might be the best option. But you can't make super overlevelled demons in hardtype, because sacrifical fusion only passes on 100% of the XP (it's 150% in vanilla so you can keep inflating demon levels really easily)
Sorry if this has been asked (I'm sure it has been), but when do you plan to continue your DDS run? Not to rush you or anything, but it was pretty based.
@@Ashcoop crit hax (But seriously, this guys skills are OP, if you decide to sukukaja, he will use a move which is not able to miss, does a lot of damage and has an ungodly high crit rate (he uses rebellion sometimes, but when buffing agility (which you will need on a low level run to hit him) he spams the move potentially killing your entire party, to make him easy you are going to need to prepare a lot.
This channel makes me ask "why would someone do this" and then i watch the whole video, one of my favorite channels at the moment ive been binging your videos recently

This guy goes from low level, to Hard and low level, then Hard + low level with many restrictions, then this. And to say these Nocturne challenge runs in your channel started popping a decade ago. I'm truly impressed by this dedication !
Yeah, after a certain point Dante’s AI becomes less predictable than Matador, so that fight seems like it’ll be hell. Great to see more Nocturne though!

Now that Matador is out of the way, next is the Mantra Court Boss rush that contains the infamous Thor... And finally, the Demon Slayer, Dante! Be prepare for even more Critical fest that Dante can achieve in Hardtype. Despite his AI still kinda the same, his new stuffs is a force to be reckon. I wonder how long it'll take to defeat Dante, consider that this final Matador fight took you about 13 minutes. Make sure you have a showcase video of DMC2 Dante's completely motivated, optional though. "I'll give you ten minutes to decide. Which would you rather end up in? A coffin? Or a dumpster?" Get yourself some deserving break and take care the other business, Mr. Jim. Stay alive and stay safe.
iirc, i think zombero wanted only a +2/-2 buff system. but then red capote would be useless, for instance. so if he made dervish, it would still give matador a +2/-1 advantage. I think thats how it went. I was surprised when I saw he only put the +2/-2 cap on the player, which was awesome.
If you want a suggestion for Dante, you can use one of the new Hardtype skills that lower a stat (like Scald) so you can do damage and force him to Holy Star every turn.
I’m looking at Dante and honestly I don’t know how your getting past the second phase without getting extremely lucky. Combination of too many Crits along with the inevitable ailments which could completely ruin the run and overall does way too much damage even with a Phys resist team.
I'm thinking Anti Mind or even Null Mind for my demons would be essential, Apsaras could learn Anti-Mind during the mantra boss rush and I could get into another fight to upgrade it after if need be. Also, assuming his scripting isn't changed too much from the original game, I think you can slap full debuffs on him once he starts taunting you and he won't Holy Star anymore. Nothing I can do about the crits though... it'll be rough for sure.
i fought matador when my party was around level 15 and i thought i pulled a clutch but after seeing this i am quite surprised but i did not have anything to debuff his agility so i took quite some time
why is dante so bad? i remember being at +2 and he would still kick my ass. also, cant yolo after he uses taunt and ailments on 1 character kind of breaks the fight. i think he would still be hard as hell even if you carried resists phys and null mind. AND HE CRITS SO OFTEN.
I remember when I first played this yrs ago I never through about buffs and debuffs I never use it I have no idea how I managed to beat the game even tho it was on normal
Yikes. If I ever attempt this run myself, I'm...probably going to use Cheat Engine to de-randomize skill changes and inheritance. Or just do a hybrid of your run and BuffMaister's one.

That's what I was hoping, but unfortunately those skills are totally out of reach in LL. Demons don't start learning em til the 30s
