Not every day when this show gives you a history lesson. But when it does it's usually said in a captivating way that you would find yourself hanging on each word
Thank you to Tim and all the Grand Illusions filming crew. You guys are absolutely phenomenal, and I appreciate all the fantastic entertainment you folks provide us (for FREE, even! Imagine that!) You guys are simply the best! Cheers! 🍻❤️
Your content is the type that deserves attention. It helps cheers me up before bed. And its always a wonder to see these toys ive never seen before, with you charming voice
When I was a kid, like 5 or 6, my mom bought me a spider toy and a really small hammer from this old mans hardware store, it's closed now but that's not the point. What is the point is besides my transformers, this toy was the most awesome thing ever. It worked like a blood pressure checker, with the hole in the pump to release the pressure, but when you pumped it the spider jumped forward and up! Like, 2 feet up!
That black and white photo is of Francis Johnson (Darwin, Minnesota, USA) who made a twine ball, not an elastic band ball, from march 1950 to 1979. The ball is still on display in Darwin and is 12ft tall.
How does one start a rubber band ball? Wouldn't the bands be all loose? Would you put a ping-pong ball in the middle or something? I don't think it's the best way to store the bands, since they get stretched out and you don't want that.
It's funny how Tim says "about 20 years ago" like it's nothing and holds up a black and white photo. Really makes you think of how time passes. Also funny how he can make a great politician be appreciated as a puzzle ball.
Unfortunately prime meme raw material this upload! 😏 I don't envy who ever's gonna mod the comment section of this one. Fun video though, enjoyed it as always 🙂
Man, elastic bands these days get disintegrated like in a couple months. Maybe it's an environmental sustainability thingy or just cheaper production cost. Anyways they don't make them like they used to unfortunately
I have noticed that, as well! I have to think it must be some environmental reasons, or like you said, cheaper production, i.e. cheaper and less reliable rubber used for the material. Makes me quite irritated when I try to make a rubber band pistol but the bands continue to snap and break after stretching a couple of times! Ugh! 😆😆
As a kid i had a friend who had made one around three sizes the size of the one shown in those days you couldn't have bought one i doubt very much mid eighties.
2:33 I'm pretty sure there must some sort of phobia with a very catchy name of this exact moment if I searched for it online. Any Doctors in the comments to verify that?! lol.. it gave me the chills 😅

Someone should build a toy museum just for Tim's collection.
"A little dig at Saddam Hussein" is not something I thought I would ever hear on this show

That "Woooo" at the end cracked me up! We love you Tim
That last puzzle ball, they should do a new one of Boris Johnson's face and call it 'Bloody Boris'.😁

Tim, all your recent videos seem to be reviewing my childhood in the 90s specifically.
I had that cow ball!
Lovely, thanks Tim😀!
That last one gave me tonal whiplash
On this episode of Grand Illusions...Tim plays with his...
Without question, this video should have been titled:
Tim's Balls
Tim has chose violence today! Lmao
this reminded me of that time I decided to see what was inside a golf ball... rubber everywhere, what a mess.
That ball with built in pump is brilliant
Tim, I love your videos. In this video you seem to be havinga ball.
Tim’s back hell yea
Hope Tim is doing good, these videos are always great👍

20 years ago is quite recent.
@@lobbymccawker2083 the photo was black and white thooo 💀
@@daseapickleofjustice7231 We all remember black and white photos. Nothing unusual.
@@lobbymccawker2083 I remember black and white photos as a relic of history, not from 20 years ago.
@@stevendemayo3631 You must be a self entitled youngster if you don't remember black and white photos.

Damn Sadam
Does anyone have any information on the spring ball? I had one as a kid and would love to know more about it so I can maybe hunt another one down.
I have one of those puzzle balls (the last thing you showed)! Except it's just purple with no picture on it.

And I don't mean Arachnophobia! lol
acaraphobia, the fear of crawling insects?
That phobia of too many moving things?
Edit: not a doctor, I wouldn't know.
@@bostonrailfan2427 hmmm possible! Or maybe something similar to Trypophobia for wiggly tentacles? lol
WOOOOOO YEAH BABY THATS WHAT I BEEN WAITING FOR THATS WHAT ITS ALL ABOUT WOOOOOOO
Whoever thumbs down this video deserves to bounce back to oblivion.
Tim claps back 👏
That last one was interesting but why the heck did it have that picture on it???
5:40 Rip cow ball
he will probably out live me
Why is Tim not a voice actor?
