I feel your pain on 4 days, no action. I did 11 days on the ccc this year, caught fish every time there. Small schoolies and blues, but never hooked into anything bigger than 5 lbs, never saw a fish hooked bigger than 5 lbs out of hundreds of guys everywhere. Fished the full moon, new moon cycles, hot, flat, windy, cool, choppy, cloudy, didn’t matter. It just never happened. Always missed the big fish by a day or two. From my contacts even when the big fish did show, it was only a half day or day at the longest. This year has been very hit and miss unlike last year. But hopefully next year will be improved with fewer fish kept this entire year. A lot of fish were taken out last year. Great that you were able to get into a big one. Good patience and hard work Awesome
Wow, no fish over 5 lbs?? Maybe 👀 u were doing something wrong.. my first trip there I caught a 30 lb bass on my 2nd cast... all my buddies have nailed atleast 2 over 40lbs this year (2020) .. you're legit, the first person I have ever heard say that.. 11 days, no fish over 5 lbs..at the ditch.. idk man, thats sus
How is casting with those Yozuri Hydro Minnows? Are you happy with the distance and action with them? I'm considering picking up some for some surf fishing/casting, and want to make sure they cast well; where I will be fishing, distance and being able to get them through the wind is important. Thanks!
.......been wanting to go to the ditch for a while now... and this vid makes me want to go even more!! Haven't been there before but from the looks of it from all the videos I've seen, when it's popping it's popping! Maybe next year will be the year we go
its not popping, and its really a shit show that most of the videos don't show you. its mostly shoulder to shoulder combat fishing. We just got lucky and got away from the crowd.
@@OutofWORKoutdoors yea I understand that part I've heard there can be hundreds of people there at one point and in like less then a cpl hours there maybe 10 left. Or sometimes there ain't shit hitting. But I still wanna try it out though!
Bought me my first surf rod a couple months ago and I love it. 11ft EH Cabelas Salt Striker series with 7000 model Salt Striker Reel. It's different but I love it. Broke into a 30 in striper with it fishing at local dam. But I bought it for this exact reason CCC. We live in NC and dream of going to the canal one day. Keep fishing and uploading quality vids! Tight lines!
Been a while without seeing you guys landing big fishes. My buddies and I are planning a trip to Cape Cod Canal, is it worth the trip? I heard the best fishing there are in April and October? We're making our first trip to Eufaula next week any suggestions? Thanks
Hi I was wondering how did the Daiwa Ballistic lt 6000 do? I was planning to go to Cape cod with the same reel. Really appreciate it before I commit to buying one. Thanks
Honestly wouldn't go to cape cod with a 6k ballistic. They are about the same size as a 4k saltiga, but the saltiga has way stronger internals compared to the ballistic. For plugging and fighting smaller stripers it will do fine but if you get into a big fish, the reel can fail.
Oh dang. Just wanted a light reel that was around 16oz or less. Wanted a set up that was light and allow more casting and less tiring. Any thoughts aside from a stella. Thanks.
Nice DUDE!!!! Sorry I couldn't get up there with ya! SHit's been hectic! Looks like you had a good trip! How you diggin those micro waves on the surf stick.
That's why it's called fishing and not catching? My first time at CCC, I landed and released 20 keeper Bass. That was an awesome day! then my following next 2 trips to CCC, I got Skunked? When fishing gives you lemons you make lemonade. LOL!

Great video! We appreciate the support.
your thoughts on the Yozuri Hydro versus SP minnow and Lucky Craft flash minnow
Depends on where you fish. For the canal, the hybro minnow comes with the best hardware that don't need swapped out.

What colors would be best to use during night times and on full moon nights
Do u use any leader to go with that braided line ?
Yep always use a leader. I never go braid straight to lure

MrBRONCOTIME yeah april is really good, but the first week of December is the best.
thanks for the info, greatly appreciated as always.
@@MrBRONCOTIME hope you had a great trip. Don't let certain people try to crap on your enthusiasm ☝🏻☝🏻

So far, they are pretty good. definitely helps with the line going through the guides.
Are tournament casters using them?
Where’s part 3
Just got home from the canal I live 25 min away and had no luck it’s been dead last few weeks. Keep up the good videos.
those big mama's are probably well up north by Maine now lol
Doesn’t matter who catches the bigger fish. Just seeing one get landed is almost as good as landing one yourself.
Dream trip! What is that finger protector?
Where did you buy the single finger casing glove?
Check th3 links
AWESOME VIDEOS!! keep it up
thanks BeastSaiyan!
Cool. I been waiting for this
Can’t be there, can it? Because it’ve death for 3 weeks already.
this was last month.. just finally getting around to putting the video together.
Wow those r some expensive gears! But worth it tho
They are worth the investment
Next time Use Savage eel or Al Gag jig the bottom at night.
What is your guys PB striper?
we actually don't know our PB's.
OutofWORKoutdoors lol
👌😎
That's a 12 ft Rod I've never tried fishing it on a 12 foot no more than 10
12 is fine if you want to get out a little further.
10 is unusually enough, only use 12 for surfcasting. But at the canal with all the pressure sometimes you need that extra edge and bump up to 12.
Music is so loud
Turn your volume down haha
Yeah its a junk video.
Whatastripper😝🤔🤣🤣
#stripernotstripper
OutofWORKoutdoors lol I fix it
hahaha.

hahah YEP! Fishing the canal is a GRIND! its not like what everyone else posts up. Sometimes they are in there, most of the time they are not.
If you guy fishes morning time; get a bike next time.
its hard to get bikes when we don't live in the area and was only there for a week.
DUDE! did not know that! next time for sure then!
If he let it go its because he already has a fish.
These are the guys that let the little ones go and keep the breeders.
Dude it's called braid. These reels are new. And we don't need your negativity here thanks.
