He did do a great job, but it did take a while. I was told 15 mins max for a fade like this. But like you said, you was new and your game is on point now. We all have to start somewhere.
The fade was nice and crispy. You have a way of doing this that makes it complicated to understand I feel that you could of eliminated a lot of steps and confusion. But in the end you got the job Done nice work bro. I know what it's like to learn how to cut hair by your self I started out the same way
Zig! I think you just solved my fading issues! I got the basics from some other barbers on youtube but I think you just helped me to get my fade even cleaner! I'm bout to got try this shit right now! Thanks, my dude! P.S. You from/in the bay?
Thanks i just try to explain it as simple as possible these videos are a little out to date my new videos will be more simple easier cuts fully explained
nice work-good for our home cuts 2yr old son/me- new barbers gonna hate-till they build their clients-I gets better with practice I got the Andis fademasters,T outliner off ebay made a big difference-I made a self cut 3 way mirror. thanks for your vid
All this hating on here.... Who cares about how many steps there is,the finished product speaks for itself, excellent job bro, he's right there is a lot of blending techniques some barbers chase the line, some barbers do levels or some reverse fade which means fade down instead of up as long as u leave ur client right no lines in the cut its all good.when I first started cutting hair I wasn't good at all but I stuck with it and went to barber school and got my license and now that I got a lot better I have more passion for barbering it's a badass journey u never stop learning, real barbers spread their knowledge and help those that aren't so great to make them great we all learn from each other,as for the guy that said it looks like a high fade in the back and a mid fade on the sides, most of my clients want to keep their corners a lil dark it makes the line up pop out more when u put the razor to it, maybe that's what he wanted, keep up the good work bro...., barber love
Finally, an average fade done right with none of that other mess about blending styles. Some put up videos and call them fades, but end up bring some hipster, greeser fade where you need like 6"+ of hair, lol
I was reading some comments ! Smh haters hate lmao at yall! New barbers i dont care if it takes you a hour and a half , DO NOT RUSH thru your hair cuts , you do not let no one out your chair until you are good with the cut you are giving !!!! If you fuck that hair cut up you will lose clint's , you want to put your foot in every hair cut , so somebody will come up to your billboard ( client ) and ask them were did they get there hair cut at and who cut it , not yo that cut is trash !! Nice work fam !!
fantastic fade. The blend is on point. Now I'm a cosmetologist so I've found it easier to start longer n work down. So I would have done my #2 on top, then faded a #1 1/2 into that, then my #1 into that , and so on and so forth down to my no guard. And of course taken my balding trimmers to freshen up the little stubble left behind. Now would you yourself find that technique easier than starting the way you did?
Remember everything you use while doing this cut you will have to sanitize after . With that in mind try to limit the use of so many clippers and guards. You will get to a point where for this cut you will only 3 guards 1 clipper and 1 trimmer.
Idc what ne one else says I've watched dozens of videos on how to give my man a great looking fade and ur cideo is by far the best. I want to know if i dont have pne pf thpse t-shavers or whatever tjeir called or a straight blade what would you suggest i uss to give him the crisp cut look on hos forhead and sides? Also do you have a video or turorial on how to perfect a faded beard or goatee? If not do you have any suggestions. Just want my man to keep looking fine!lol
We are not allowed to use guards at barber college. Can you do these demonstrations without them? And, thank you for taking the time to create these videos; very much appreciated.
For those using Andis Master series adjustable clippers as see in this video, here is a easy way to remember how to use the adjustment marks on the side of clipper during your cuts: The 5,4,3,2,1 method. Hold the clipper in your hand with the name of clipper (in the middle area) facing you. The adjustable lever should be on your left: 5 = OPEN (lever on side is all the way down) 4 = one mark up from open position 3 = two marks up from open position 2 = three marks up from open position 1 = CLOSED (four marks up from open position) A tip I learned from Coach Culler
Nice cut me personally I would take the seniors close and make the first guideline Second I would take the andis master open And go up About a inch and a half Then I would take the seniors with a 2 on top And then fade to the bottom using the 1 open and close on the seniors and it should blend smoothly the 1 close on the senior should blend on the master open.
Awesome job on the fade bro! One if the best I've seen on RUclips. I've just started cutting using conair clippers from walmart ad just can't seem to get a smooth fade. What clippers do you recommend I get (thinking either andis masters or wahl seniors)? Are two sets necessary? Thanks for the great video and look forward hearing from you
Thanks I appreciate it, personally i use the master now since my school gave me them they are easier for the fade but cost about 120$ the wahl senior are real good i got the icons with the senior blade, they both have a purpose but for a begginer id go with the wahls unless the master arent out your budget
ZigTheBarber Thanks for the response. I am leading more towards the wahl. Ive heard the andis fade clipper is pretty sharp and snags/cuts clients. Your thoughts?
its a guide line. a tool that help out evening out the sides and back. you can do it without a line but only experienced barbers who know they are doing can get away with it.
very helpful but the comb is unnecessary I don't know why barbers use the comb on millimeter hair the Clippers will cut it without the constant combing
Cutting hair is what you do.....This video is about 2 years old, so if you haven't done so yet, invest in some wahl balding clippers!! They will extend the life of your hitters! (detailers)
Good fade man but what's with everybody that makes barber videos always doing some unnecessary extra shit? Just do the fade and make it as simple as possible.. because it is simple. Smh
This is the only haircut tutorial that actually kept my fade looking buttery with any mistakes ! Great job bro
He did do a great job, but it did take a while. I was told 15 mins max for a fade like this. But like you said, you was new and your game is on point now. We all have to start somewhere.
Yeah but this is a explaining video also so I gotta teach if I did all these steps still a 20 minute bald fade but the game is more crucial now
Fade looks great . You have skills. I was following you . I got lost when u started using 2 separate clippers. Lol thumbs up

It is complicated because i had many steps but this is old and when i was experimenting new fading technique, in action this takes me 15 minutes
Not bad either way bro I'm kinda self taught one of my boys showed me some tricks also
Dope beat.

Very clean fade. Thanks for tutorial.

nice cut man, kinda long process but whatever works for u. comes out really clean bro thanks for the instructions
guid lines are a must for a new barber and a 1 open with a andis should blend with a 2 closed
I learned something new today thanks
Dam I love your Video tutorial! You make it so Easy for a Novice to understand! "* Thanks Bruh"*!!!

You gave this man a mid fade on the side and High top in da back lol. Fresh cut tho
Thank, Lol and its not mid on the sides and high in the back its a fade technique

be extra care on the left side of all men (temple) area - why the hair grows forward, leave a little longer do not go to high ! got it!
We are not allowed to use guards at barber college. Can you do these demonstrations without them? And, thank you for taking the time to create these videos; very much appreciated.
how are you supposed to fade without guards? yall must have surgeon hands over there. crazy
Nice Cut!
great video explain everthing
For those using Andis Master series adjustable clippers as see in this video, here is a easy way to remember how to use the adjustment marks on the side of clipper during your cuts: The 5,4,3,2,1 method. Can you explain the 5,4,3,2,1,0 method again? I literally just need the numbers going from 000 all the way up to a 2 open for a clean medium fade
+Luis Patino
000, 0A, 1, 1A, 1 1/2, 2
Props bro clean fade; info on the instrumental?
Nice cut me personally I would take the seniors close and make the first guideline

Then I would take the seniors with a 2 on top
And then fade to the bottom using the 1 open and close on the seniors and it should blend smoothly the 1 close on the senior should blend on the master open.
The way i do it now is different this was years ago and still relevant
excellent fade
Thanks 😉

For the liners if definitely use the wahl detailers
ZigTheBarber
Thanks for the response. I am leading more towards the wahl. Ive heard the andis fade clipper is pretty sharp and snags/cuts clients. Your thoughts?
Its really how you adjust them
Drew A Andis Master are $90 in many reputable places. Sally's Beauty Supply online is that price that comes with a complete comb set.
nice cut brooo
How would fade or blend a 1/2 all around ?
Crispy fade!!
are your 5 stars Zero Gapped?
its a guide line. a tool that help out evening out the sides and back. you can do it without a line but only experienced barbers who know they are doing can get away with it.
change speed to x2 to hear a banging DnB tune
Nice vid.
Fresh!!!
see the fade, feel the fade, adjust your pressure "A"
where did you get the music track from doc the beat is dope
Its wiz khalifa nameless beat
good fade bro. but if your seniors are 0 gapped, you could have used those and it'll look just as good. good shit tho.
They are zero, it wont look that good tho i use the baldings now
Ima try it out bro. i only have the seniors and 76 right now but i want to try out them andis.
That was a great cut but u made way to much work for yourself by using 2 different clippers other than that it was a great cut keep it up
What is the music beat in the background?
Wiz Khalifa- nameless
Is there any other way to do a bald fade without putting lines?
You really like to work hard for a simple fade
You really like to hate but you still can’t cut hair bro
Nice
So you used Andy's master and whal 5 star ??
Both this was when i was more of a rookie
funky beat
nice cut..not bad at all..ignore the hate.
This process this makes me feel like im doing more work that i should ave to to get the cut done feel me?
I feel you but this is how i fade but im self taught this video is a little outdated, not how i do all my cuts its just a different way
Exactly this was a very confusing technique
@mario no it’s not at all if you listen it’s all simple and if you have any time of concept you can take what u need from this and up your game
is the senior same aas the balding five star
wahl it's nice
very helpful but the comb is unnecessary I don't know why barbers use the comb on millimeter hair the Clippers will cut it without the constant combing
@john I can fade clipper over comb however I wanna
Will be back soon
Make sure you cut against the way the hair grows,
Cutting hair is what you do.....This video is about 2 years old, so if you haven't done so yet, invest in some wahl balding clippers!! They will extend the life of your hitters! (detailers)
I got baldings in my other videos
The fade looks good but then you see his whole head front on Haha na jks haha
You could've used a 3/16 by Wahl and you wouldn't have had to use the masters at all that would've cut out some of the unnecessary steps
This was when i was a rookie my game is way past this, i did alot of steps but i taught myself im gonna have new videos on the way
para bens meu amigo sou do Brasil boa dica
It's crazy how when you're starting to cut Hair you use all types of steps and clippers I'm pretty sure you don't do this anymore.
Yeah not really, i use the same concept just 1 clipper doing buttery fades in 20 minutes
@djt8521 thanks bro
@raydabarber7 ok i will when i can
why not just do the whole cut with the andis?
Good fade man but what's with everybody that makes barber videos always doing some unnecessary extra shit?
Just do the fade and make it as simple as possible.. because it is simple. Smh
for real.
Ok bro if it's simple why are u watchin a video to learn
Godini ThaGod OMG SAY THAT SHIT LOL ALL THAT STOPPING AND TALKING WAS IRRO
ZigTheBarber bro if thts ur reaction to ppls opinions, you shouldnt be making videos
If that’s my reaction I shouldn’t make videos? How do u sound #lame
@mariahbucknerbeacon @ZigTheBarber and inbox me if you can
Instructions not clear, accidentally killed client.
Hate all u want lol i was like 17? Im better nkw i taught myself and if u can read it says how i do that fade.
David Almazan This is the worse tutorial.
Harry Peter I can't breathe
LMAOOOOOO you're horrible bruh
@Emanu whatever I'm better then u , come see what them hands like in real life if u wanna test your luck
This makes me not want to cut hair Anymore...and I've been cutting for over 20 years..
How? Don't hate fam..
And your probably ass
Good fade but yes 2 much extra stuff. 2 many steps
Not really
damn bruh couldnt have done it better myself.
Way complicated bro.
Simplify the steps.
Not bashing.
Constructive criticism.
I believe you have the right skill set.
Thanks for the constructive but not complicated you can adapt to what I’m saying at the level I was at then was just a video to help
To many steps bro, it could be done much simpler and faster to get to the next client
It's a tutorial video, bro. Lol
+Illogical i know but it could be done simpler bro tutorial video or not
Bro that feedback is wack lol if your more advance just click a different video
