In Dy Patil School Of Physiotherapy in Navi Mumbai we have compulsory clinical postings from 1st year. We have to just observe seniors, interns and mpt treating pts. And from 2nd yr we are taught to take history of pts. In 3rd and 4th yr we usually help mpts and interns to treat pts. And after 4 yrs there is 6 months compulsory internship. So we people are very well exposed to pts, icu, nicu, surgery etc..
Mam I am BPT 3rd yr student And i am also posted to my Clinical duty In HDU In hospital and It is really hectic it is my 7th day and it is really Amazing to work ✌✌✌✌

@@medico1730 yes,even from the 2nd year you have to see patients from your college OPD if not,3rd year clinical posting is must.

better if you take admission in a uni where the hospital is within campus or nearby campus, where clinical training is a subject.
as since first year we've been going to hospital and seeing and experiencing a lot.
Taking history, doing assessmens, taking vitals of physio patients from almost every (msk, geds, peds, neuro adult, neuro, spine, cardio, orthro (m&f), etc etc) OPD, Surgery, IPD, (ICU ig will be after IInd year)
Understanding how to work with other professions (nursing, doctors, biomed, tech, etc)
understanding the life of hospital, wards numbers to everything. It's a great experience and i believe every medical student should get it.

In Maharashtra we can seek addmission for BPTH on the basis of Neet ug onlyyy it's compulsory in every college of Mumbai.

Did bpt from top college of delhi. Left it because it was not worth it. It was the biggest mistake of my life. Now for those who want to pursue it , go for it but it didn't work out for me.!!!!
tbh if you're not developing interest in it then leave it for sure! There's no point chasing something that's not cut out for you.
now talking about being worth it.. then yes if you're not up for it with all your heart then can not make most of it.

The no of physios are increasing and the patients not if any one want to persue bpt plz don't do this
If you do it's your risk you won't be getting more than 10 k per month equal to a hospital guard
This is completely illogical.. Each day awareness of a Physiotherapy is increasing in India and so are the patients . People are getting aware that they don’t need medicine to get cured from the pains that they suffering from since years . Physiotherapy provides painless life
Also when talking about earning you have no idea how much money a physiotherapist can earn just by home visits !!

No offense...how long will you earn ..by home visits? Govt jobs are negligible... private job 15-20k.. lecturer 25k..thts it..there are alot of quacks in this field...nobody should pursue this field never ever

Yes personally speaking it affects a bit but you get used to it even if not experienced the hospital exposures within 1-2 months.
For a girl i don't think bpt is good because we have to go where the patient stays am i right??
that is freelancing or home visit but you can choose your patient accordingly. female patients prefer getting treated by female physiotherapists.

Hey apply by providing the resume and attach an application along with it mentioning all the details and why you wanna intern in that institute, also attach the available mark sheets with it.

@@sanyamkhurana2003 see it depends.. you can go with a uni with an attached hospital to it as you will get postings and good exposure but it depends not every uni will give you opportunity to practice in there hospital.. but you can always go for other hospital postings as well
So prefer choosing a good University because if your basics are clear, you can practise outside and have knowledge already

Join a good clinic for observationship also try to ask your faculty / professors about the hospital visit. Seniors se help lo opd me jao or khud hi try kro joining a clinic is the best option agar apke college me practice nahi krne. Dete toh

See college does matters but key point is about skills and experience.. Apply to top most colleges of Physiotherapy in INDIA for internship.. not necessarily for 6 months.
Interning from a good physiotherapy college like S V Nirtar or GNDU ( amritsar) or HIMS may give you good job opportunities and upgrade your CV .
for prac knowledge try doing observationship in a good clinic or Hospital. it wll really help.

I will be true to you. I did my graduation from Career College, Bhopal and for taking the admission you do not need to give me neet there is direct admission.
College placement is None so I would recommend you to do it from a college which is private. If you want your course to end on time, else you can go on with this college because it has government university

Try applying to top colleges in India for physiotherapy like SV Nirtar , GNDU , HIMS etc. you can do internships from different institutes as well for better job opportunities and exposure.

Hey, I would not say its easy, hard work is needed as the syllabus is wide and requires knowledge and skill development but it develops over time.

Hey it has wide variety of modules so its difficult to tell all books name but basic and best ones are BD Chaurasia for anatomy , Sembulingum for physiology.

Yes it’s sad reality of Indian physios😢As a fresher you will have very difficult time to find any job which will offer you just 10-12k for 8 hour hardwork 🥲. Here in india physios are too much underpaid as compared to foreign countries. Don’t ever take admission in physiotherapy if you have no plans to get settled in foreign countries..

While internship, physiotherapy, intern skit stipend, but not in every college It totally depends upon which college you are working in. And for example in EM College, Mumbai interns get Rs.2000 per month.

HEY BMLT is a great course to endulge in if youre looking forward for knoweledge regarding laboratory and pathology , they deal with clinical laboratory tests to identify, treat and diagnose diseases and other medical concerns.
BPTh is a course quite different from BMLT. BPT helps you becomes health care proffesional and deal with patients who are in pain and treat them with excersises and lifestlye modifications also helps delay or avoid surgeries of joints and lead a better life.
