Very beautiful castle. I can't imagine the heating bill. I love all the old pictures. Looked like a nice fluffy dog bed for Sherpa in front of that one fireplace. This is the kind of place you're walking around by yourself and it's so quiet you suddenly hear footsteps and there's nobody there and then you hear a voice say Rosebud, and that's the time we turn back toward the door and run away screaming cool looking place though, too bad sherpra had to stay in the car
Was this your tour of your new place?! What an AMAZING Adventure Jamie! Sherpa looked so bummed at the end that he had to wait in the car for you! You should have just told them that he identifies as a Hooman and even talks like a Hooman! They would have understood, I mean, he is Sherpa after all!
In those days that was real luxury ,so well made .could you imagine how cold it must of been in the winter ,no heating wow .

Wow that is a Beautiful castle the ornate wood work the furniture and paintings are exquisite . I think I could easily get lost in that castle. I couldn’t get over this Beautiful place. We don’t have castles in Australia 🇦🇺 so I was quite intrigued . I wish I was there . I would get so intrigued I would lose all sense of time. Thanks Jamie. I've only been to Castle Howard in York, and I loved it of course. But my U.S. working class mind kept wondering how much it would cost to heat and cool such a huge place! haha

So glad we got to tour the castle. I think id have to get my dog a sitter or take him to a kennel. I could spend a week in that place, easily. I'd have to read and reread every sign and investigate all that they said.

What a remarkable place. Loved the wander through. Cannot imagine living there though. I’d get lost every single day! 😂 Wonder if a caretaker lives there? It now belongs to the National Trust I believe I read. Someone has kept the copper pots, pans and kettles polished! Not sure about that bathtub! And that potty!!! Jamie, the people in the olden days in the portraits looked like that because they would try to emulate the King (Queen) and / or the higher ranking people of their time but mostly they would have to sit for hours in that same pose whilst the artist drew then painted them. if it were to be done over several sittings they needed a pose they could easily recreate
nice to see a 'tour' of the castle. I love castles but I'll never get to see them in person so 'virtual tours' of them are great.
