People don’t understand how a renaissance needs a death of the old. I think Jaguar is on the right path with this concept. Jaguar deliberately chose not to please everybody. That’s what exclusive means. It will take time to build up new target groups, but this concept car will not become a real car before 2027. And many things will change in the coming years that’s for sure. Most car brained people are stuck in their images of petrol cars. But that’s not the future.

I think it's time that Ace and Gary got their own superhero movie and think jaguar did a pretty good job of capturing the spirit of the two. Only criticism is that the design sort of removes any ambiguity that duo might have.

Target market? My guess is rich liberal/"Woke" millennials in the inter cities. Think San Francisco or Seattle. They'll buy them to "own" the MAGA types or to be unique/hipster to own the "icky woke car" . Personally I think its okay design, I like the front and side profile but the rear is lack luster. I do like the colors though that pink and blue looks cool. But I've heard its going to be priced around $130,000, imo thats too much money. In that price bracket there is a lot of competition.

How dare Jaguar rape the memory of a long and illustrious history… And how dare they not only forsake, but ridicule their former customers by proposing to make something that almost none of them would be seen dead driving. This discordant offering explains exactly why Jaguar are on the cusp of bankruptcy: It’s management are blind to what customers want; deaf to criticism of its obscene decision making abilities; and dumb in the extreme to have wasted years dreaming up a concept car that will have to be totally deconstructed and rebuilt differently within 18months of actual production. This freak-show is fine for a start-up company - with no legacy or reputation on the line. And by people who have never previously achieved commercial success in anything But by wilfully omitting to incorporate absolutely any of Jaguar’s erstwhile successes into this product refresh, shows a total disregard for what made Jaguar a company that some people (admittedly far fewer than in the era of the E-Type, XJS etc) passionately aspire to drive.
