Go ahead and put actuators for key less entry , alarm and I actually pulled off remote start using a actuator to pull electric choke on and also did electric windows on a 69 build

Love the carbon fiber look on the handles just sets it off.
I have a guy that comes in with I believe a 71 or 72 maro that doesn't have a door handles on his door and on his key he pushes a button and open either driver or passenger doors its crazy cuz its just flat on both sides

I have them painted to match my car and it looks amazing … huge difference aesthetically

I've never liked the 2nd gen, until you bought this car, 2nd gen starting to grow on me. Starting to see more of them fully restored too.
Also I'm not a carbon fiber guy, but man it looks so good on this car!

Loosen the bottom glass stop and the window will go lower in the door. Then you have better access to the bolts to swap out the door handles. I had to swap a broken one on my 71 a couple of months ago. Your car has come a long way and looks fantastic.
I certainly tried that and there was no way in heck I was getting the nuts back on to tighten up the new door handles
Hey lethal I have heard that the 23 and 24 zl1 was getting blackwing then I heard maybe lt5 for 24 final year now I'm hearing it's gonna be the blackwing for 23 and 24 no lt5 now have u heard anything????

The 2nd gen Camaro looks awesome and seems to be just about complete!! A year or 2 ago when you started the restomod you said you would tally up the cost of this effort when it was finished. I know you've had to order many extra sets of parts along the way, which hopefully you can use many of them on your new 2nd gen Camaro project. Have you been keeping track of what you spent on the 71? Any chance of make a video detailing what this amazing restomod cost?
I’ve kept track of a lot. But not all :(
I love anvil auto. Those handles are really nice, but I don’t see the $400 price difference between those and repops. Thankfully, I’ve got a brand new set of NOS handles for my 73 LT, so I don’t need to purchase a set.
It comes down to the materials. Repops are cast crap metal. These are billet aluminum and hand polished with stainless core. Some might not see it, but the being in manufacturing I get the cost and the margins required to make them worth selling.

That's like $640 Canadian minimum, with shipping and tax and duty. Good lord that's alot of money!

@@Lethalgarage I hear ya. I'm just finishing up my 81 Z28 build. Been 16 years on and off. Only 1 or 2 months to go. Lot of custom parts I made, or had made going into it. $600 or $700 Canadian, might not be so bad maybe a year after its done. I've already spent so much time and money in this car. I can't justify it just yet. They are sick tho.
