Pretty good video. Great bed cover! I’ve got a DiamondBack SE that’s about 12 years old. Looks almost like like new. Mine has been worth every penny. And they’ve made quite a few improvements in the last 12 years so the new ones are even better. Company product support is also top notch.
Good video, thanks. This bed cover is not something I would buy, but I am subscribing to your vids. I especially like the "Where we're at" overlays. Keep up the good work.
Think I am going to get one of these for my Denali come black Friday... seen one on lunkerstv truck and like the security and the fact you can get the HD model and it will hold a lot of weight.
I think you will really enjoy it a lot. I will say having it for a while now I still can not believe how much weight I have put on top its pretty crazy
I am considering the low profile cab protector too but am a bit worried about rear visibility. Could you post a video shot from the inside of your truck showing what the view is like through the rear view mirror and also a view with just the camera facing the back glass from the front seat so we can get a sense of what (if anything) is obstructed? Thanks in advance.
Why don’t they use carriage bolts on the hinges so someone can’t take the hinges off to break in? Seems like an easy swap. Wondering why they didn’t design them that way.
I have a silver truck and am trying to decide if I want the black finish or not. My main concern is heat from the topper since it is black. Do you notice the interior of your bed getting hot from the black coating? Like I said the natural aluminum would look decent on my truck but the black would go well too.
Now that you have had the diamonback for a while how do you like it? I am also interested in what you think of the low profile cab guard. I am trying to decide whether to get the cover with or without the cab guard. It would be nice to have some protection when hauling lumber and other items. Hope you finally got a bedliner sprayed in that truck bed. Need it to match that nice diamondback cover.
Honestly, probably the best addition to our trucks yet. It’s held up absolutely amazingly and the security it provides for gear in the bed is unparalleled. The cab guard is awesome but that just comes down to personal opinion. Depends on what if anything you plan on putting on top of your cover
@@TheForgeRelations Thanks for the quick reply. I went ahead and order it without the cab guard to save some $$$, I will see after I install it what accessories I want for it. I know I want the crossbin 13. I also want to find the right low profile crossbars so lumber doesn't sit directly on the cover.
Will and Ben can you source that? I would like to buy one but I need to know if they hold up, I have thousands of dollars of tolls and I live in a sketchy area.
im going to buy one strictly off this video!! im going to get a bed slide installed first and then install this..... How long did yours take to ship???
It’d have to roll up on the window guard so if you’re tied down properly I couldn’t see that being an issue. The full guard is always your safest bet though
Solange and Emerson it’s on the site! It’s primarily an atv stop for rear loading an atv. He doesn’t have the atv package (2 aluminum bars for attach points for the diamondback 12’ ramps) . I have it and load my 700lb 750 Brute Force on it and tow my 34’ travel trailer behind :^). They also have a full rear window protector as well which is more practical if using moreso for construction or farming purposes.
I have one on order, but the darn corona-virus has shut the company down until their Governor gives the go ahead to open again. Of course they do not have to stay closed, we do live in the USA, and I say if they use all precautions like masks, gloves etc, and they have the company in a not so crowded area and just go to work and back home, I think they could work with no problem, after all we can't just quit working for over a month, remember its the economy we have to also think about. Anyway, I have looked at a lot of the bed covers and liked some of them but they just don't compare to the diamondback cover so I guess, I will have to bite the bullet and pray that the company will open soon. What a bummer!!
Looks great however the fact that with the cover installed you no longer have full access for oversized objects in your bed is a deal breaker imo.. That fixed center piece kills the deal. Like the short headache rack though but I would never buy one..
Please invest in some camera stabilizer. Informative video, but by the end was nauseous from the shakey camera. Sped up zoom ins and outs didn't help either with the shakeyness.
@Flatus Antiquitous lol ok man, im not gunna argue with someone who thinks just cuz hes a one off with a relatively new truck. dont get your panties in a bunch
My son has one for about a year now and it is solid and works perfect. Stronger than you might think. Stronger and tougher than anything else on the market that I know of, and I have looked at a lot of them.
Good video. I don't think that cover is practical for me. I'll stick with my roll up soft cover I use my full bed more often than not. This seems to be a solution for the person who should have bought a work van.
Yes and No. The cover opens up from the front and also the back. You actually have a lot more accessible than you would think. When you just need the entire bed it is really easy to take off and takes around 15 min.
Amazing cover. Just added a Decked drawer system. Now my truck is complete.
you forgot one thing - Bilstein shocks for leveling out the truck.

Nicely installed.
Good review! I have the exact cover on my Dodge diesel with the atv package. They’re AWESOME covers and turn your bed into a safe!

Nice product and video...would’ve liked to see a bit more use after install.
Awesome video. Great work guys. I cannot wait to get one of these.

Will do!! I will since the day I have put it on I have not even realized that the cab protector is there
Use your mirrors
Did you make any follow up videos for the long term review?
Great demonstration .
thank you
I love mine
Best aftermarket accessory I have even put on my truck!!!
It’s been an incredible addition to the setup 🙌🏼
i'd put blue lock tight on those screws

Id go black 100%, the cover is sprayed with what feels like line-x. We haven't noticed any heat chance internally from adding it.
@@TheForgeRelations thanks much. I am ordering one as we speak can't wait!
@@d-op1502 Let us know how you enjoy it!
Does diamond offer a cover to fit 1972 GMC K1500 8ft long bed?
Nice review..no chit chats!
Good install pointers
I just ordered this set up and my back shield didn't come preinstalled

Sweeet! Shoot over a picture when you get it installed! Would love to see it on your truck
It does not get anymore suburban than that. Nice job on the vid.
Are those filing cabinet locks? If I put a filing cabinet key in there will it open?
No they’re unique to each truck cover
Will and Ben can you source that? I would like to buy one but I need to know if they hold up, I have thousands of dollars of tolls and I live in a sketchy area.
I’d reach out to diamondback covers on their social, Instagram or Facebook, they’ll be able to give you a definitive answer
great video! and funny too
Yeah....how much is this gonna cost?
im going to buy one strictly off this video!! im going to get a bed slide installed first and then install this..... How long did yours take to ship???
Is all you have to do to get the window protector pre-installed on the bed cover is to order them at the same time?
Correct, you just order it with the window protector
Thanks for the review does the low headache rack protect enough for an ATV on the diamond back or do you think the atv might still hit rear window?
It’d have to roll up on the window guard so if you’re tied down properly I couldn’t see that being an issue. The full guard is always your safest bet though
Gooseneck access impossible....it’s bad ass other than that
Great
What is the price and who sells them?
DiamondbackCovers.com
Did the cleats come with it or was that extra?
They came with it
It was in my cart on the site and I had to go back and check. Just ordered one. Thanks for the quick reply. 👍🏻
how did u order with the window protection on there site don't shows that tks

A bit steep on price but super practical
For us the biggest thing is the security it provides. Absolutely a must have.
It rains and snows a lot where I live. Does this thing keep your shite dry? I've tried three different manufacturer's covers; they ALL leaked.
100% waterproof 😎 we’ve had ours on for over a year each. It’s so dusty in the back of my truck now bc it’s been so dry 🤣
I'll use the Dremel next time... USES the snips / Scissors again LOL

I think it would be too much work to take it off if you need to use the whole bed
ROFL...Who makes a CAMERA that records sound of a zoom hahahaha
Boy that is not good having to cut your bed liner. I hope I don't have to do anything like that on mine.
WP45 thats why you dont get a drop in liner you get a spray in when you buy a truck. They dont even protect the bed it helps it rust faster
👍🏾
😁👌
Plastic bed liners.. that'll teach ya.
Looks too busy! Keep it simple. I’ll pass
This cover can be lock picked in 4 seconds, check out this vid: ruclips.net/video/lojssyFvXKg/видео.html
Looks great however the fact that with the cover installed you no longer have full access for oversized objects in your bed is a deal breaker imo.. That fixed center piece kills the deal. Like the short headache rack though but I would never buy one..
We had the same concerns but its so easy to take off and on that as long as were prepared for oversized objects it really hasnt been an issue.
Way to much money for that . Looks good and durable but $ 3000
I don’t get it. U can’t load up the bed with stuff without having to first remove the ENTIRE cover! 🤷🏻♂️
I thought the same thing. Defeats the purpose of a truck bed :)
It's a Chevy, of course it has a plastic bed-liner......
I would rather do an overland from A.R.E. if I am going to clamp it down like that!
Just get a SUV then. Toppers defeat the purpose of a pickup bed.
Please invest in some camera stabilizer. Informative video, but by the end was nauseous from the shakey camera. Sped up zoom ins and outs didn't help either with the shakeyness.
Man drop in bedliners are bad in manyways😂 should of just had a spray in done then that cover
Flatus Antiquitous Moisture gets under it no matter what and rusts it out thats not an opinion thats a fact
@Flatus Antiquitous lol ok man, im not gunna argue with someone who thinks just cuz hes a one off with a relatively new truck. dont get your panties in a bunch
Wow, you destroyed your liner to make this piece of crap fit?
Nice except many moving parts. Something will break within 6 months.
My son has one for about a year now and it is solid and works perfect. Stronger than you might think. Stronger and tougher than anything else on the market that I know of,
and I have looked at a lot of them.
@@summerbeachtime8757 Awesome. I'm saving money to buy a Diamondback too.
Talk about making the bed of your truck useless...
