  • Breaking the dev embargo a little early (I could've waited another day, but I got a little impatient). Contains a lot of alter usage so if you haven't seen em, I recommend you ignore this. Magnetic Shockwave and Power Line are obviously the big midboss killers of the weaponsets, but surprisingly, Royal Guard does a mad amount of damage quickly. Definitely a really good offensive shield.
Most of this run is relatively easy. Simply Magnetic Shockwave or Power Line or Royal Guard. Of course, it's not all simple. The most fucked up part is of course Melody Response Cannon. It's completely random which buttons you need to press. You don't want to have to do big sweeps across the room and to preferably hit the same button multiple times in a row. And there's two of them too! And the worst part is that we don't even want to use the Skip function on it. Because we save that for the MMV Midboss All-Stars. Even a bad RNG Melody Response Cannon is faster than that. The RNG I got in this run is on the mediocre side.
Stone Head is also somewhat RNG-based. Here, I use a Magnetic Shockwave right at the middle which can kill it before any rocks start to fall. But using Magnetic Shockwave here doesn't cover the leftmost or rightmost rock so if Stone Head spawns at either of those, you lose a bit of time.
The Octoper Family is another really annoying one. I just really fucking hate these two assholes. Octoper OA is barely bearable, but Octoboss's tiny hitbox is incredibly irritating to hit. There's no faster way to do this other than to mash faster and more accurately because you're forced to take the Wave Bike. No weapons to help you out. Just mash the buster stupid fast and hit their infuriatingly small weak points.
With Dimension Warp All-Stars 1, you want to approach Bee Blader a certain way where you Blast Wind through it and mash Royal Guard without getting rid of the Cheerio bullets. So you don't want to collide with the bullets on your way there nor do you want Royal Guard to hit the bullets. Failing this, Bee Blader will hop across the room and waste a bunch of time. The way you kill Bee Blader also affects how Stompy will go. If your Royal Guard parts aren't quite right, Stompy might hop across the room and lose you some time. I'm not completely what gets a fast Stompy kill, but I find managing to bring in 2 Royal Guard parts after Bee Blader should get the kill quickly.
This is one where I grinded a time during the testing period. Got a run that was 1 second slower. In that old run, I didn't have Energy Saver NEO which is Energy Saver for Alter weapons and had slightly different strats. Like for Doc Kumo, I used Power Line instead. But I found out that if you use Bait Bobber on it just right, you can kill it in one shot of it. I botched it in this run, but it ended up breaking about even. Also used Tornado Blow on Changkey Dragon, but I found out that using Water Shield and then hugging the dragon is a lot faster. Using Laser Trident on Combiloid is also new. I originally used Power Line on it, but it turns out spamming 18 Laser Tridents is faster. Mix Tape on Suzak and Fenix is also new. I originally used 3 Tornado Blows on them, but I wasn't very satisfied with using that much because you need that ammo for Break Man. Mix Tape should be a little faster optimally and breaks even if you get hit. Also used Power Line on Octo Generator instead of Lantern Flare. I think Lantern Flare breaks even, but it feels easier to get about the same time. The last difference is Banshee Wail on Mad Grinder. I'm not actually super sure on this one. I originally used Power Line, but I'm not completely sure which one is faster.
This run beats the previous normal record, my own 4:14.199, an improvement of 52 frames (or 0.866 seconds). That was from the testing period so it's been killed. I have an unlisted video of it, but this one obsoletes it and I'm making this one public so no point in making that one public. For improvements, don't botch the Doc Kumo strat, do a better Octoper Family, and most importantly, get better Melody Response Cannon RNG. I think you should be able to save enough to get a 4:0x. Dunno about a sub-4 minute run, but it doesn't seem impossible. Who knows? Maybe we'll find a way to bring weapons into the Octoper Family and murder them with Magnetic Shockwave.

More like the coliseum of No Shorts. Because my legs are unshaved and I’m embarrassed about them.
