In this video, I will go over why I am done with Citi Bank and in having the Citi Premier and Citi Strata Credit Card in the last month. It has been the worst customer service in having this card, from the application process to product changing to the Citi Strata card. Please listen to my story in having the Citi Premier card and why they have the worst customer service support in the credit card game.

Wow! This is a dealbreaker.
I had my reservations about Citi’s recent card launch being a great product, but bad customer service is a dead end for me.
Thats why i’ll always keep my Amex Gold as my primary card.

Wooooooow! They went with snail mail to verify your account. That’s crazy, and the delay with getting the strata premier 😬😬. Sounds frustrating!

This video highlights one of the often ignored factors, that customer service is a variable when thinking of selecting a credit card.
People can make fun of Amex’s coupon system, but generally you hear nothing but positives about their customer service.
Chase seems to vary a bit, but is generally pretty good. I like their secure message system when I don’t feel the need to call.

Yeah, i can take a fault on this as not looking to the customer service experience. Amex is dedicated and top notch in this space, and would explain why I have 4 cards with them.

Citi customer service or lack of it is the reason why I canceled all my Citi cards and staying far away from it. It's a shame since they actually have great cards

Having a similar experience. Applied weeks ago for the Premier Strata and never received my card, then I found fraudulent charges on the card I never received. Still waiting on it and not happy. Asked to expedite the replacement but they were like nah we can't. For their most premium non-cobranded card, I expect a lot better. Have never been this disappointed with an issuer. Awful first impression.

Totally agree, their business rules and customer service is not consumer friendly. I got approved for the card and the credit limit was so low I was flabbergasted. Called customer service and "sorry, we can't do anything for you". But I'll ride it out as I'm a frequent flyer on one of their transfer partners. I'll win in the end.
What was your limit? It seems like the highest limit they are giving at all is $11K. I have had success getting CL increases every six months with Citi cards.
It just seems they are tied to a script and have no flexibility to support their consumers

That sucks man. I didn’t realize Citi was so far behind the times. The only time I’ve had to deal with their CS was when I closed their checking account after getting the bonus.
I cant say i have experienced this before with a credit issuer. I guess the chaos with Citi is somewhat validated

That is a wild story Michael!! Their cards synergize like no other. Sad that they fail in all other areas. You have to do what's right for your path!

Oof that's really bad. I don't like anything that has to do with my mailbox. I want to figure it out as soon as possible through email, chat, or phone call
Mailbox could be a problem. I know you travel alot, how do you adjust with getting a new card if you are abroad?

My goodness! This is beyond terrible! The fact that you can't even verify via text and / or email when you're trying to use the card for TRAVEL and it's saying (suspicious activity) 🤔🤷⁉️

Did you tell Citi ahead of time you would be traveling overseas? If not that is probably why your account got flagged.
No i did not. I have done that in the past with other credit issuers. The thing is, i have other bank issuers and have been internationally for years now and never had this issue and had no need inform them ahead of time.

I’m sorry you had such a bad CS experience with Citi. The card in itself is good for everyday multiplier use and I’m just finishing up 75K SUB. Did you consider product changing to a Custom Cash or other card before cancelling card?

I have a couple of CITI cards including AAdvantage, and have never had any customer service issues. Brothers its really hard to take a guy with a Mario brother hat seriously. That are you thinking ???
I actually have the Citi Aadvantage business card and have no issues. So, this citi premier issue is puzzling. Who doesnt like mario!
The same thing happens to my wife and I but, with Chase, they always have to send a letter with a confirmation number to call and get approved 😂 As always your mileage may vary but, Citi has been great to us💪 Thanks for sharing your experience Michael!🫵
