@@cja5612 Well they've been the biggest club in England since football got advertised, so naturally, they'd talk a lot about them as they've sunk really low from when they were dominant. Although, I do admit, they talk about United a bit too much, would be nice to see discussion on other clubs, because it seems like they're regurgitating the same things that they've said before.

Getting sick of the burden of blame lying with the manager. Those players have a lot to answer for - say they're not good enough but then how does the transfer policy fare up? Whos responsible for that? Ole doesn't have absolute control over that. He's there with Mike phelan who served at the side to the greatest manager we've ever seen - the man needs time. There is no quick fix to this mess. He's gotten rid of most of the mercenaries in the squad. Has the young lads and now needs a year or 2 to add dedicated, commited and experienced players to play along side the youth.

We've tried all kinds of managers with all kinds of styles you can ever imagine but zero change. What if 'we,' the fans are the problem? Come look at Chelsea fans, Liverpool, Man City or Tottenham. How the manager is their number 1 asset. Maybe we need to love our manager more; & show him respect. More than any player or any other person in the club. That gives him the extra security & authority to dictate his players. The players too will start giving him respect knowing that the coach is the no.1 asset. That's the prob. Players, ever since Fergie left, take the manager as just anyone. Pundits & rival fans are making us fall into these traps(discussions).

As a united fan (born and bred in Salford btw, before the “plastic comments” come in!), Ole has my full support. Over the past few years there hasn’t been much to be positive about: poor results, bad transfers, glazers, Woodward, lack of talent in the squad and we have every right to be let down, but if there’s one thing in this current era of united I will never turn on, it’s Ole. Sacking and replacing him just puts us back in square one (and gives the glazers and Woodward another chance btw) and Ole wants this club to get back to its best just as much as I do. Just remember, Rome wasn’t built in a day and things will probs get worse before they get better but we need to get behind Ole and his attitude and focus on the real issues and Manchester United.

The main problem for United is that they have 3 clubs in front of them that are superior, and then 2 that are better. And the ones that are superior are not going to cede that for at least 3 years. If Klopp goes soon that is the only gleam of hope for Manu. As things stand and if managers stay in post, Manu are about 5 years away from a decent challenge. However, you may go for Pochettino which would save you, but if he goes to another club and you lose him, I see another 5 years of under achievement is a distinct possibility.
