- 2018 Honda Accord is the 10th Generation with so many new features. Here are 5 features I'll bet you did not know.
Including Dual USB sources, Customizable Tachometer, A Tip & Trick to enter the trunk if the battery goes dead, Auto Day Night Mirror, Electronic Barking brake trick. This video was filmed with the help from the crew at Tamaroff Honda in Southfield Michigan.

@@Soh201 yeah I’ve had mine for 6 months. I love everything about the car except the lack of an auto lock feature. The higher trim had it but I liked the look of the sport model so it’s my fault. Still an awesome car though!

I heard the Accord does have auto lock when you walk away unless that's only the touring models or 2021 models

One thing I do know. There is a 2018 Accord Touring 2.0T in my driveway. Congrats to me!

#6: When approaching your Honda push the unlock button twice on the key fob while holding the second depression to roll down all windows to allow hot air to escape before entering the vehicle.
Then use the key, by turning twice holding on the second turn to wind it back up :)

Is there any danger in engaging it all the time? I'd hate to think I was damaging the calipers over a period of years.
@@Blackdog4818 I just did some research on it and all the sources I read recommended using the parking break every time you park regardless of slope.
Right, but my 20 year old Accord, that I just replaced, was a crap shoot if you engaged the parking brake, small chance it might not un-engage...lol.
@@Blackdog4818 that's where the electronic brake works nicely. No exposed cam arm to corrode and lock up. I still think the best parking brake is a separate mechanism on the drum side, those were pretty reliable.

This video was great because I had no idea what the button on the rear view mirror was for. I knew that the 3 buttons where for the garage but I had no idea what the power button was for.. I thought it was just to turn the 3 buttons off for the garage but it made no sense to me now I know it was for the tint on the mirror when there is a car behind you it tints the light so you can see the car behind you better.. thank you for this it truly helped me.. I’m loving my new 2018 Honda Accord 😃 drive safe everybody..

My two cents: I've had several cars with auto dimming rearview, and it never works well enough, and the worst is they don't come with the manual adj. Thankful my 2018 Sport does NOT have auto-dim and has the manual adjustment.

Great tricks. I can't get parking break trick to work with Sport MT. Is there another way to do it, or maybe not an option for my car?
I really like that color on the Accords. My family owns a small dealership and for some reason our 2015 Accord with 13k miles in that color wouldn’t sell for a whole year until we sold it to a family friend for a lot cheaper. All because people didn’t like the color.
I drove by a honda and I was amazed at the look of this new accord. I've seen the new camry and wasn't that impressed at all but when i saw this one i was like wowww.. It sure deserves all the hype. It's a great car, very beautiful design.

I just bought a 2018 Honda Accord and I love it. Thanks for the showing how the automatic parking break works. I do have a question I can't seem to find anywhere. There is a light that is goes around the dashboard. Start it up and its white, then it will be green in the upper right and left. I have seen it turn red before. Is the color of lights and which corner it is in trying to tell me something?
red is for sports mode.
I got a Honda Accord Sport a month ago. Love it. Weird thing thing - An error message comes up now and then "no GPS Signal", but I don't have a GPS menu option? What is up with that? And I got a message asking if I want Honda to track me with GPS. According to the manual, if it's GPS equipped I should have a GPS menu option. Finally, how do you get the dome light to tune on when you open the door??? I can get them to turn on, push the light.
Does that auto parking brake trick work on the Sport manual transmission models? I can’t get it to work on my 2018 6-speed.

Do you have access to anyone at Honda you could ask if the adaptive cruise algorithms have been improved for this car? Overall I love that feature on my 2016 Civic, but its accel/decel is not very smooth.

Yeah, I have been doing that too, but a lot of the results are those worthless videos where someone just puts a bunch of pics of the car together into a slideshow with some music in the background, so it's hard to know which ones are worth watching. I will try that again and watch more of them, see if I can find the one you saw, thanks

You must have a high amount of disposable income, or your just a fucking idiot, I think the latter
CastrejonHDTV and the 2.0 has more torque. The horsepower doesn't help. The Accord is quicker off the line and faster in the quarter. You seem to have a lack of understanding with regards to horsepower versus torque. Do a little research.
Richard R. Smith it's a new model. It won North American car of the year. So they're not going to redesign it just for you. I really don't think Honda cares if you buy one or not. I know the dealership where I work seems to have no problem finding buyers.

So I'm looking to buy a new 2018 Accord and I'm curious to know if the parking brake will automatically disengage when the car is started again if the auto parking brake feature mentioned in the video is activated? Like, can I activate that feature one time, never think about it again, and have my parking brake engage when i stop the car and disengage when I get in to drive again? Or am I misunderstanding how the feature works? Any insight would be helpful, Thanks!
But how do you get two usb options to show up in the menu? Is there another usb port in my car I'm not seeing because I only see one. I have a 2018 Accord sport 1.5t.

Thanks that was helpful...now I have a question/suggestion; why doesn't Honda help us by identifying which tire has low pressure when the TPMS indicates one is low? If it knows one is low it know which one it is, right? My other car (unnamed out of respect) tells me on the dash.
The individual TPMS system is on higher trim levels apparently.
One of the options I can select using the thumbwheel under "AUDIO" is Sirius XM. I don't plan on subscribing to Sirius after the 90 day trial expires. Is there any way to delete it from the menu?
How do you undo that parking brake setting where it automatically sets if you decide you don't like that afterwards
I’d simply try repeating the process for a start...
CAUTION: Don't put loose coins in the well in front of the parking brake release button. I had a dime wedge in and couldn't release the parking break until I got the dime out. Little scary as I was stuck in traffic.

HPJ I just got a 2018 Accord Sport 2.0T with a six speed manual and it requires the parking brake to be set to start the car. I tried your tip and couldn’t get it to work on auto setting the brake. Does this trick only work on the automatics?
Yes this trick is not on the 6 speed manual.

Hi Jason, is there a trick to avoid infotainment to reboot when switching to ignition ? For example, I'm driving with my music and google maps on, then I stop on a traffic red light, put in neutral then push the start/stop button to stop motor, finally traffic light gets green and I push the start/stop to switch ignition buuut my music stops and infotainment reboot. Is there a way to avoid that reboot?
Hi Jon, I just brought an honda Accord hybrid touring, would you know why driver side mirror doesn’t tilt when reversing, my passenger side tilt mirror works fine, can you please assist me with this?
It would also be so much easier to just put a keyhole in the trunk.
Easier still, why not just open the trunk manually from the drivers seat while also having an electronic unlock through the keys. That's how my 09 accord works.

Does the HUD allow the driver to adjust its position without going through a menu? Also, is the HUD height or settings linked to the driver 1 and driver 2 key fobs like the tachometer is?
Yes, there is a hud adjustment switch on the dash. Simply push up or down

My 1990 accord had a similar trunk access keyhole behind the back seats, but it just lowered the rear seats

My wife and/or mom would never figure out the parking brake or trunk release. I really hate when the head unit looks like it was just stuck up in the dash rather than integrated into it. It looks so much better than the Camry but dang glad I saw this.
Baylor58 Duncan All you have to do is pull the button the cars parking break on, that process is only for if you want it to automatically turn on after you get out. And the trunk thing is only if all power to the car is gone, there’s still a button on the trunk itself to open it.

You need to make a youtube video about the HUD in relation to navigation. I heard that only Hondas built in navigation system can project on the HUD and that ACP and AA navigation cant show up on the HUD. Is this true? I cant find the answer and no one in youtube have addressed this issue...
