Dave Saturn why when it looks so much better? It’s sleek and elegant while Mazda looks like everything else from 2012

@@jak30341 You are simply incorrect. The amazing front end of the 2018 Mazda 6 looks nothing like 2012 Mazda 6 or the 2012 Accord. But don't let facts get in the way of your opinion.

@@daves9355 The design is very much like the older models, so you live in a different world or something? It's common criticism for the Mazda 6. Now, old design doesn't mean bad design. It is what it is.

i cant believe it just my observation i check the camry boy lot of bashers and negative review , next the all new altima same, then the type r same then this accord my goodness same bashing the bad thing is there all from the same people common guys my point is whatever car is featured theres bashing . so when buying a car just purchase a car where your happy and satisfied not with what the crowd is this social media craze says you cant pleased everybody no matter what car is featured. its a crazy world.

Been driving mine for just over a year and I have to say, it is easily the best overall car I've ever owned. No complaints other than the turn radius. Far more shallow than my previous Toyota Sienna. The turn radius on that thing is a dream. That said, I'm VERY happy with my 2018 Accord.

I like the look. Both Honda and Toyota have come a long way with the Accord/Camry especially when they didn’t really have to put that much thought into it. Micah I am shocked you didn’t start this video with how it drove since you had to keep silent on the first look video.

  • @shawng4886

When they first revealed this car I was on the fence. But the more I look at it, the more I want one! The Audi-esque design is awesome and those body lines are ridiculously good looking. They have that flowing look to them and I love that! I looked up some pics of the car in silver and those lines just POP. And the interior looks extremely well laid out!
The fact that they got 192hp AND 192lb-ft of torque out of that 1.5T WHILE getting 30/38mpg speaks to the engineering dedication of Honda! That's amazing!
That thing has more power and better MPG than my '15 Mazda 6 while looking pretty much as good in my opinion:(. Looks like I'll have to wait a bit for some certified ones to start landing on lots and take a look!
Great job Honda! I may be in an Accord in a year or so!

We live a lot of minutes in our lives, but minutes 13,194,486 - 13,194,493 are very special to me. That was the first time I rode in a 2018 Accord. Then they had steaks at college that day. $9.50 and you could get all the New York strip steaks you wanted. Yeah, January 26, 2018 was a good day. I remember I had to miss class that day because I had bowel problems that literally resolved themselves within 15 minutes before I rode in the Accord, and I felt good the rest of the day, and made a B in that class.
The only thing I would change about that day is the weather. I was wearing shorts that day, it was 60 degrees outside. That's all well and good for spring or fall but it was the dead of winter. I would have preferred a crisp 30 degrees and winter clothes, because 60 just doesn't feel right in the dead of winter. Decades from now I might be thinking "oh the first time I rode in a 2018 Accord, that was a beautiful spring day" only to look back and see "It was JANUARY 26? It felt like March 26." And this was in Kentucky so it's normally a lot cooler that time of year, we were just having a warm spell. It had been cold the 23rd-24th and it was snowing the 29th, but in between we had this 60 degree, sunny day.

This car looks amazing and has a lot of presence. Butch yet sophisticated. Kind of like a cross between a Volvo S90 and a BMW 5-Series. Chris Bangle would love it. For once, the wheels of a new Honda pair well with the body styling, although I'd hate to see what one with the smaller 17" wheels would look like. The interior looks elegant and sophisticated - makes the Camry's asymmetrical center dash/console look silly by comparison.

Do a search on RUclips and you will discover that ALL trims have remote start, but Honda intentionally includes a cheap keyfob without the remote start button on the lower trims, and then charges about $500 to add the 'feature' that already exists in the car! All you need to do is buy a keyfob for an EX that has the remote start button and have the dealer program the new fob to the vehicle. Tell the dealer you lost the keyfob and that is the only one you could find and have them program it for about $60. When done, the remote start button will start the vehicle! Typical Honda to screw people over like that.

Typically I have little love for new cars... but I’ll make an exception for this one. The flatter hood & grille is a nice refreshing change of pace from the world of jellybean shaped cars. Could it be that the pendulum of automotive design is finally swinging back the other way? Good! It’s about time.

Warning to those who live in winter climate conditions. I had a 2008 Accord with uncoated factory rear brake calipers that required replacement every 2 years. The salts laid down on the roads rust and seize up the brake calipers. Plus at that point, the rear rotors and pads will also need to be replaced. It's quite an expensive ordeal but not sure if Honda has addressed this issue in its newer models

My 09 Lariat has some awesome features I still rarely see in cars today.
3 way control AC and heat seats, USB ports for rear seats, more cupholders than you can count, the most comfortable leather seat I've ever experienced in any vehicle, ever, and a fantastic dash. It's really spoiled me.
A huge factor for me is the armrest, which in the f150 is like the size of a table which is awesome. My gibbest complaint about the 9th gen accords were awful right armrest and touch controls for the volume. This 10th gen fixes that and the interior looks quite good

I may not have the touring but my lx 1.5l impresses me everyday! The design at first I wasnt in for but watching videos and actually seeing it in person won me over base model and all you still grab attention. To me (in my opinion) with the Camry and the Accord it all comes down to what you like. If you want something sporty go with the accord 2.0l for comfort and razzle dazzle go with the Camry either way Toyota and Honda are known to be great reliable cars no hate for neither one 🤷🏾‍♀️

Agreed! What I’d give to go back to the wide, flat dash look of the Ford LTD’s & Crown Victorias. And no molded plastic partitions between the driver & passenger floor. Open space between the dash & the transmission hump.
Yup... those days are gone forever. Today, we all drive our smart devices.

I purchased the EXL 2.0 with Nav. Overall a great bargain for all the features in this car. Fast acceleration and pretty good gas mileage.
The only fault is the cheap audio speakers. They really degrade the sound. My 2013 Accord had so much better speakers with heavy magnets and the sound coming out of them was audiophile quality. To bad Honda tried to save a few dollars and went cheap on the tinny sounding speakers.

The press pictures worried me, so I'm glad to see the front end looks much better in motion than in photos. That said, the fascia aesthetics are a sticking point with me. The current Civic is gorgeous, in my opinion, so it's a shame the new Accord turned out turned out to be a step down in looks. Still, the rear looks nice, and that fuel economy is sexy.

Accord designers are obsessed with road noise because they believe road noise makes a driver feel more sporty....that's why Accord has been named the most noisy mid size sedan in US and Mazda 3 among sub compacts..
