I am scrEAMING!!!
Katherine Steele first of all omg i love your chanel so much and you replied ahshshsnajsb and secondly screaming as much as marya during in my house? Or as much as i did when it closed....... :c
+Katherine Steele mkay so I'm auditioning for the role of rafiki in the lion king (it's a school production) and I was talking with a few of my freinds and people I know. and we were sharing what role we were auditioning for. and I said rafiki (obviously ) and they seriously said. oh. you won't get it. now this is coming directly frk. me supporting them on the roles that they wanted. saying that they are really talented and will get the part for sure. and they told me about this girl aleda..... she had been bragging and saying that she would get the role because she was a close family friend to our music teacher (and play directors) "favorite" I really would like for you to make a video about auditioning with people telling you you won't get it or casting by favorite or preferences. also I love your channel and your content and my top five musicals would have to be (this is extremely general as its hard to pick)
- falsettos / in trousers
- my fair lady
- Sweeny todd
- legally blonde
- the book of mormon
CJ Hamblin
hA ME TOO
NPATGCO1812 is fantastic
Hey Katherine! (and fellow Theatre Thursday Fam members.) Something *crazy* happened to me the other day and I thought I would share it with you guys. I recently went to see the UK tour of Legally Blonde with my friends (who are also in theatre.) We took our seats and there were 2 young men sitting behind us, but we didn't pay much attention to them. We love Legally Blonde the musical, so of course we were applauding after every number, talking about how good the cast were during the interval, and we even gave them a standing ovation at the end, as did many other people. After the curtains closed and we were gathering our stuff to leave, one of the guys behind us tapped me on the shoulder. He said he was actually the Director of the show, and he was impressed by our enthusiasm and love for the show and he wanted to INTRODUCE US TO THE CAST? What? How? Long story short, me and my friends fan girling ended up allowing us to meet everyone and get a picture with them. They were all so sweet too. I still can't believe that happened, it's like it's all a crazy dream. Anyway, story over, I just thought that would be a fun theatre story to tell. :)
AH that's amazing!! So happy for you!!
Amazing! I hope you had fun! :)
catsocks That's so awesome! I went to see the show today in Edinburgh and it was so amazing :)
This is amazing I love this! One time I was at a chorus line when they revived it probably 2006-2007 and Sara Jessica Parker/ Mathew Broderick were sitting like two rows up from me. I almost died. Being a fashion major I’ve always idolized her. Funny tho you’d think Matthew would have been the one recognized in a theater but it was definitely SJP everyone recoginzed. Matthew Broderick was so cute protecting her tho. Not as cool as your moment but still cool
that's so cool
1. Addams family
2. Shrek the musical
3. Wicked
4. Hamilton
5. Phantom of the opera

Come on, y'all. Jonathan Larson composed it, Raúl Esparza starred in it (Where the Law & Order fans at); Lin, Karen Olivo, and Leslie Odom Jr. came together to do a revival for it! You should be all over this thing!!!

My friend (whos a brit absolutely LOVES that show and has seen it over and over) Since it' was a hit in America and it's Elton it is surprising that it doesn't have the same fondness to Americans. But the brits love that show more than Blood Brothers and they seemed to LOVE Blood Brothers LOL

2.Heathers
3.Hamilton
My top five faves are, sort of in order, In the Heights, Pippin, Fun Home, Anastasia, and Once.
I have a musical that I've seen a few different productions of online but still haven't really seen anyone else talk about anywhere: The Dolls of New Albion. Written by Paul Shapera, it's the first in a trilogy of musicals, the other two being New Albion Radio Hour and New Albion Guide to Analog Consciousness. But Dolls is a steampunk opera that takes place over four generations of the McAllister family in the fictional city of New Albion. It's a shockingly short musical at barely over an hour long, but has four distinct acts, each one being a different generation. I won't go over anything past the first act to avoid spoilers, but here's my summary.
The show begins with the Narrator, Kate, introducing the audience to the city of New Albion, and bring in the first character, Annabel McAllister, who's raising the dead in her lab. Annabel sings about her experiments with death and her desire to bring back her former lover, and eventually succeeds, putting his soul into a metal doll. In the next song, Kate tries to get Annabel to listen to her doll, Jasper, as he begs her to send him back to the afterlife, and when Annabel hears what he's saying to her, she destroys the doll and sets him free again. Over time, Annabel finds a husband and has a son named Edgar, leading into act two.
I'd love if this musical got more attention, it's one of my favourites and the whole trilogy is super interesting. Like I said, there's official releases of a few different productions here on RUclips, so it's an easy watch from home.

One of my favorite lesser know musicals is A New Brain. It’s black humor at its finest by one of my favorite composers William Finn. Nick Bourne Oh I love that musical!

1) Les Miserables
2) POTO

5) The Last 5 Years
Ayy Bee All those musicals, except for the last, are so popular😂. Yes, they aren’t as popular because they’re much older and kind of originated (especially Les Mis and POTO) the hype for Broadway and now there’s so many new musicals but overall, everyone at least knows about them.
I’m absolutely in love with the last five years
Les Mis and Rent aren't underrated.
