Towards the end of the series he does actually care for inuyasha. The punch in their father’s tomb was just because he was pissed thinking inuyasha had disrespected their father. Sesshomaru could’ve killed inuyasha at anytime. He never did. Once inuyasha showed his worth to truly wield tessiaga, Sesshomaru let go of the grudge.

We have to understand that they are demons, they do everything more extreme than humans, even human brothers fight very violently sometimes, so this is just the demon version, in reality they love each other very much
Is it really a demon thing or just a guy thing? I've got a older sister and yes, we've gotten into physical fights before but only once or twice as kids. But do brothers ever not get physical if they are fighting?
Sesshoumaru would make a great addition to the UFC or any other international mixed martial arts organization. He would give his opponents the most savage beatings possible from his ground-and-pounds to armbars and emerge victorious. After all his bouts, he will even invite some of his opponents for tea to show that he is an honorable martial artist and never neglects his noble heritage.
Fun fact about that is that even though I'm the younger sister, I've always managed to beat my older sister every time we got into physical fights (which didn't happen very often). It could be because she was small for her age because she was born premature and I wasn't.
