Michael, look up the paper “The opioid effects of gluten exorphins: asymptomatic celiac disease”. Gluten (wheat protein), casein (milk protein) and soy protein destroyed my nervous system because I’m Native American and don’t make the enzyme to fully break down these proteins. I almost died before finding the cause. Four years later I’m almost completely healed. Much love, take care everyone ☯️🙏

wait, tell us how you fixed it? Probiotics or stopped all gluten or milk or? Tell us bro, help someone

Gluten and casein are high proline content if I recall correctly and they are very cross reactive and can really set off autoimmune

@@UAP I stopped eating wheat, milk products, soy and spinach. Once I stopped eating the things that my body was making into essentially morphine my body started to heal. Long version, I was put on a total elimination diet. Bone broth, root vegetables, rice was my only food for a month. After that I added one ingredient back into my diet per week. If it didn’t mess with me it stayed. It took me a two years to find all the ingredients that numbed me. After reverse engineering what had happened I found the paper “ The opioid affects of gluten exorphins: asymptomatic celiac disease” that described my condition perfectly. I am living proof that the hypothesis in that paper is correct for some people.

To clarify a bit more, I’m 50, was dealing with numbness and disassociation my entire life. I have taken probiotics. I find that they are a useful stopgap while looking for the actual cause of intestinal dysfunction. I’m extraordinarily lucky that I have support while I heal. I genuinely wish everyone was as lucky as I am.

Nothing better than people who are enthused about seeking helpful and interesting things, as curiosity is an under appreciated trait for most people. What’s more fun than figuring out things that make us happier.
It’s the reason drugs are so popular despite the lack of advertising campaigns in favor of them. The problem is most can’t keep a positive cost/benefit balance, so probiotics, omega-3, magnesium, and cutting out processed food (and red meat for me recently after quitting alcohol helped a lot). Exercise, including stretching, and sleep are just as important.
It’s all about marginal gains. Not 2-3 things that will suffice, but 20-30 that all add up to transform your life, for the better. (Just as a write this, they speak of aderall and other pharmaceutical products in a similar manner.

2 friends and a relative had what sounds like almost the exact same problems with digestion issues that were completely cured with probiotics once the idea came up. For the 3 of them the commonality was having gotten a lot of rounds of antibiotics as kids. A guest on the Joe Rogan Experience is what stemmed the idea to try probiotics. 15 years of doctors having no solutions cured with ~$30 of different probiotic foods/drinks consumed over the course of a week. Even cured the lactose intolerance the relative had since puberty.

Have had challenges won't list here... have been cold plunging since Nov'23 + cold showers, and that is what my body/self/challenges have responded to thus far in more than 10 years... excited for the next level! And this may be part of it. Time to THRIVE (even more)!!

@@jasonmayer6880These specific products, no. I see no reason why these would not work as like others that I know worked. A variety of high dose live cultures seems to be what's needed not so much a brand. The relative of mine did it with fermented pickle juice, kombucha and yogurt. The other two friends did it through probiotic capsules. Best of luck. I hope whatever problems you have been having can be remedied.

Michael, I can completely relate. I had the *_exact_* same problem for almost a decade. Every single time I ate, and often times when I hadn't ate, I was nauseated and had stomach pain.
One day my girlfriend randomly purchased a Pre & Pro-Biotic, I took it for a month and now I feel like a completely different person. It's absolutely insane, I feel like a normal person again!
