@@nacl4988 I'd say they're about equal. Some monsters can still activate effects around Skill Drain, as long as they're no longer on the field when the effect resolves. Linkuriboh, Eldlich, etc. An all Gemini negates those effects, and forces the opponent out of a normal summon on the next turn, if they want to use a monster's effect.

I have been in situations where I couldnt make a move because the opponent wasnt using the extra deck and all my cards in hand relied on that (like shaddoll fusion or Fleurdelies)
I remember building my first not-archetypal, only mine, Lost World normal Pendulum dinosaur deck It is one of my fondest Memories of this game and i still play it, be It virtually or not

I LOVE the Dogmatikka Shaddoll matchup, I think it's tons of fun. And I play sky strikers, shark cannoning the winda out during your own end phase is so fun
@@Ridsssss yeah, Sky Striker has lots of ways to get Winda off the board or negated for a turn to get their stuff set up. It's just cool using all the different kinds of removal to get around floodgates and big boards, makes me feel big brain. I used the non targeting monster removal from jamming waves to kill Simorgh yesterday, very satisfying
@@Ridsssss I found Eldlich to be a more annoying matchup because they always seem to open skill drain or imperial and that really just shuts down anything the deck can do, plus they hardly extra deck summon so you cant rely on that for a free fleurdelies summon. Sky Strikers are a deck that I find to be fun to play against and not a deck that I particularly have trouble dealing with.
I also love the matchup but from IDS point of view, It's fun to negate their multiroll with Apkallone and banish 3 of their spells/rayes or whatever is most crucial to them with Ariel. Also they get pretty mad when you use invocation to banish their Raye/Rozie and summon Caliga/Mechaba :D Also they can't kill Ecclesia in battle so they have to use their removal on her.
people in master duel a different breed i swear, the amount of times where i played yubel and people just swinged into it with no game plan is shocking

Probably still would have ended up with a loss since the deck seems to be focused on your opponent using the extra deck and being able to use effects, but it'd be interesting to see if the duel would play out the same or not
He was banking on Wendi's flip effect, not expecting Skill Drain. But well, in general, it was a pretty bad starting hand. Also the inclusion of Drowning Mirror Force was a bit unusual in IDS deck

The whole point of Shaddoll and Dogmatika is to deal with extra deck mons, so sure, they'd have a hard time going against decks that rarely/never go into extra deck mons (True Draco for example, ugh I hate that thing). I have 2 Twin Twisters in my SID deck specifically for Skill Drain. Nadir Servant is also good since it allows you to send N'tss. Or you could chain Super Poly/El Shaddoll fusion to your Shaddoll mon's activation to get around Skill Drain. Unfortunately that guy seems to have a bad hand.
My main gripe with vanilla beaters right now is that tokens and traps usually do a better job of being normal monsters(outside of certain Link requirements), nevermind the Pendulums and Tuners with extra utility. Golden Land traps have high levels for certain extra deck plays, many tokens have tribute immunity as a "drawback"(Hornet Drones has this as a level 1 that can start at 1500 Atk/Def and beat over any level monster with Amulet of Ambition equipped), and Paleos have monster effect immunity(such as Zeus/Black Rose board wipes). I'm really not sure what they can do to make typeless Normals feel less bricky besides adding a new Master Rule to give them their own extra Normal Summon(or any Tribute Set since face downs don't get effects until flipped, and tribute flips need all the help they can get).

Guys im new to yugioh can u recommend me card archetypes to build a competitive shaddoll meta deck with? I need answers. So far what ive gathered is that you play either dogmatika, invoked or aleister shaddoll decks?
probably better with a pacifis as your field card of choice, you get a normal monster token and keeps getting, you are using skill drain already you dont need the tenyi field to not get affected by monster effect

Uhh no, you can just play all 3 archetype together and try grinding your opponent down that way. You can always get some decklist about it on google
Combine those archetype and you'll get a meta deck
Search for deck lists. One obvious recommendation would be Winda but all good fusion Shaddoll are UR...
