I mean that's not really the point . Piri reis map is mainly used to search shit , shuffling is usually a secondary effect

@@bonez545I mean, it was a nice try, I guess? Reading Called By should have been enough to figure out it wouldn’t work, but I guess they don’t understand the card text. Branded Players get confused when you ash Branded Fusion under Branded Lost because they don’t understand the card text either. It’s no joke most YGO players can’t read.
The duel logs decks has no pathetic cards but it does have the unstoppable really amusing gimmick
I was so sure that super-poly ignored immunity but apparently that not being the case has been common knowledge for a while. I'm kind of impressed Konami programmed all these edge cases correctly.
My MtG friend got super upset once the game taught him about Missed Timing the hard way. He chained a trap that lets him immediately Tribute Summon to bring out Raiza so he could pop my beatstick, but because it was brought out as part of a chain it didn't get its "When" effect.
Super Poly doesn't work on Crooked because the "fusion summon a monster using materials from either sides of the field" it's an effect of Super Poly, which means that if your monster is immune to card effects then Super Poly cannot use it as a material for a fusion summon.
If cook was in the extra monster zone... cyber dragons could use it for material
@@firepuppies4086 that's because that is not considered an effect of the Cyber Dragon fusions but a summoning condition so it should bypass the immunity of cook, if I'm not wrong

Duellogs literally said "I'm gonna play the most boring stall deck" and still managed to heart of the cards a raigeki. Literal sigma male.
I played against this exact deck on the XYZ festival. My pure Noble Knights deck was able to double-direct attack the opponent for game.
The fun thing is using pot, they try to blow up cook in response, then you chain cook's effect blowing up pot regaining invulnerability and still giving you the pot effect

Yes, that is actually how Yugi won his duels. The Millennium Puzzle bestows its bearer a massive increase in luck when they are in a tricky situation or about to lose.

It's a good thing you didn't have enough cards left in your extra deck to play that Pot of Prosperity. It seems you forgot he had that guy that would banish a card from your hand if you draw outside your draw phase.

@@potatoheadpokemario1931 Dark Law banishes if the opponent adds a card(s) to their hand outside of the draw step so it would still trigger off pot.

I play D/D’s added underworld goddess for spot removal because I had an extra spot in my extra deck. Came across crooked cook today like 3 hours ago. I was like why can’t I kill this shit read the card was still unsure, then read the attached material and I was like “wtf am I supposed to do” I was like I don’t fucking run Kiaju monsters in this deck wtf…. Then it hit me

Went against this deck while using Domain Monarchs it made me so salty. It was a 45 turn slogfest and the longest duel I've ever had...

Little tidbit of info for anyone looking to run this deck: If you use Astral Kuriboh as XYZ material then you can place cards while Cook is on the field due to Astral Kuriboh's effect. Just recently started running this deck so I can AFK and skip turns while doing other things.

i'm not sure why he didn't summon dark law and then just loop drawhand to banish random cards from your hand?
also why didn't you use crossout to deck-thin? if they tried to interact with crooked cook while he was vulnerable, you could just activate his effect to blow up the spell and make him unaffected again

Other Exodia deck? yes. crooked cook exodia? Still works but not as good.
Same thing with the small fish engine he couldve summoned princess->buzzsaw->rank 4 and then destroy it with CC's effect to go through like 2 cards in his deck lol
I play a version of this deck with witch and sangan so if the opponent doesn’t have more than one negate on board i can summon them and either crash into something bigger or chain cook’s quick effect to get a free search of an exodia piece. Risky but fun

Playing a normal match of master duel already takes 30 minutes, if i played this deck it'd be 2 hours

Someone tried this with me once, dread decimator put a lot of holes in crooked cook and he quit immediately

I ran against this deck the other day, then I just put out Blue Eyes Chaos Max, that was fun.
Want to make a Lava Golem/Volcanic Queen burn deck with Crooked Cook after seeing this
Tip: I use 3 Metalfoes Fusion in this deck because:
1. It's a draw spell that doesn't commit itself to the board, which means it keeps Cook out of trouble.
2. It shuffles itself back into the deck, which means I can keep getting the potential draw 1 on the next turn. It also helps in case you know an Exodia piece or Final Countdown is near the bottom of the deck after using Pot of Prosperity (which I don't run).
*calls deck invulnerable* proceeds to list all vulnerabilities in first 30 seconds

This is how I finally got to plat without playing a meta deck. It's always funny seeing the opponent have so many cards while you just have 1 sitting there. Mine had a few modifications to it but it worked for the most part none-the-less.
Also yes it's great seeing Called By the Grave because I had a duel where they used it on Main Phase 2 and seeing it didn't work they eventually used another one but on my Buzzsaw Shark.
that HERO player has the patience of a SAINT that was a half hour game. I usually surrender a game after 10 minutes at most XD

I bypassed this Cook using an Assembled Nightingale... I did her using 4 Drytrons and summoned Megalith Phaleg with 7 ritual monster in the GY...

I fought against Crooked Cook and I almost won because I chained off of the enemy's pot of prosperity.
I'm a new player so I was ecstatic that I was able to remove Crooked Cook and continue the board state. I lost because I never considered them reviving Crooked Cook from the gy.
I beat a count down version of this deck with heros today with Xtra HERO Dread Decimator. It took both of them I ran, because the first got Kaiju. It was a pain, but I won.
Not one, there wasn't a single interaction between you and your oppenent during this game. They told us to beware the illusive single player Yu-Gi-Oh but we were too foolish to listen, and now we pay the price.
Could’ve also set the crossouts & piri & popped them with cook to swing on anki if he didn’t misplay

Doesn't really matter cuz the enemy will never be able to activate nibiru against a crooked cook . You never summon 5 or more times

Someone did this to me and I uno reversed him. I stall my whole turn like until the last ten seconds then the dude made a mistake by putting another card on the field and just let me win. I guess he doesn’t want to play anymore lol
Somehow was able to yoink someone’s crooked cook with the big noodle in my generaider deck.
Harr and jurmangdar (well I tried but that is the big noodles) are surprisingly good, harr to foolish exodia pieces and if out of monsters send the crooked cook or noodle being... Well harr trigger

You said Piercing works? I'll keep that in mind (Gear Golem, Supreme Starving Venom, D/D/D Wolfsbane etc.)
I got around Crooked Cook twice (which is every time I've ever faced it). Once was with Chaos MAX piercing doing 7600 damage in one attack and the duel was basically over from there. But the other instance was much funnier. I had one card set and my opponent used MST to pop it. The set card? Successor Soul. And because MST was technically on the field when I chained it, I was able to send Cook to the GY for a Blue-Eyes. Dude must've been pulling his hair out with that development.
Speaking of Cook. Guess what I pull from the XYZ event packs? Not one, not two, not three, but *FIVE* Ultra Rares!!! Two of them in the same pack, all five lining up to give me 3 of each (I had pulled the Genesis previously from a Legacy Pack) *_AND_* I got a foil finish Keeper of Armageddon and a *ROYAL FINISH GENESIS!* The number of SR XYZs by the end?
...
Zero.
Not even kidding. No Cook, no Archfiend, not even the Photon Bounzer. I got 4-5 Mind Crushes, A Grenosaurus, and that dragon card I think. No other XYZs.
Speaking of those damn Mind Crushes, I wish the game wouldn't give you more than 3 of a given card when it can't be dismantled, that's some bullshit. I get the logic behind not letting people dismantle the Legacy and Award cards, they're free resources that could be put into things people would otherwise spend money for. But if they already can't be used as a resource... and you're not charging for them... WHY LET PLAYERS GET MORE THAN 3 OF THE SAME CARD?!?!? At *_LEAST_* make it so that you're guaranteed a foil/royal finish instead!!!
Just keep the system the way it is, but once a given player has maxed out on a given Legacy Pack/Duel Reward card list, change the reward on the results screen to 2 Gems. It's suitably low to make it more likely that people will spend money on gems, but not literally worthless like getting more packs for cards you have no use for.
I would dismantle them for 0 if the game let me.

I reccomend using Golden Ladybug instead of Swift Scarecrow. Since Crooked Cook duels tend to last a lot of turns if the game goes as planned, the cumulative LP gain from multiple Golden Ladybugs has the potential to offset the LP loss from more than the three battles a playset of Scarecrow would stop. It's also useful against piercing, unlike Scarecrow.
Yep. The deck that can trigger people to a surrender. Though if they have Kaijuu's it would have been over. Also lmao, the player was so bad the heart of the cards gave Duel logs Raigeki to blow his opponents' monster.
Good to know Super Poly is an effect. I thought it was the same as tributing.
Super poly does tribute for cost it just can't affect monsters that are specifically "is unaffected by other cards' effects"
@@mattr791 it doesn't tribute for cost, the only cost it has is discarding a card, the rest is an effect, which is why crooked cook is unaffected by that effect

Went against someone who did this yesterday. It was the last duel for me in the XYZ event. Felt like I had chains on lol spent 30min wasting time. If you run this just know you trip down some stairs eventually
I started main decking kaiju years ago so I've been prepared for this type of thing.
Now we have underworld goddess. So no bricks.Most decks can summon four monsters to out it. Triple burst dragon is also good. Just pierce it, and win in time. Skill drain before the summon of cook... negate the shark they use to summon right hand(ash, veiler, imperm, etc.). The problem for most is they didnt know what was coming, Now everyone is prepared for it.

I both love this deck and going against this deck, especially since I love using time thief( I always seem to steal their exodia or one of the pieces).
An unprepared drytron deck on second turn has no way to stop this.

Because link monsters are not very smart. They simply do not know how to go to defense. All they ever think about is offense. If you add book of moon into the equation, it simply does not work, why? Because link monsters simply does not know how to go into defense mode, whether that be face up or face down. But this only applies to link monsters. Book of moon isnt exactly bad, its still good, just bad against link monsters.

I beat a deck like this by milling both our decks and sending their exodia cards into the graveyard. Then i kept reshuffling cards into my deck so they ended up running out of cards eventually. I didn't even know i could do that.
Favorite vtuber? Probaly Selen or Finana. Selen intro is super catchy too. ... What do you mean this Yu-Gi-Oh channel?

I got exodiad today...duel started, and the guy spent 5 minutes drawing cards. Turn one and it was over -_-
I definitely ate it when my opponent hit me with a Maxx C and 1 special summon later I ate Exodia. At least it was turn 1 so I didn't waste 30 minutes.

Hey idk if you know this but “DRAW OF FATE” is a good card In this deck. Replace it with your pots. You pretty much get a free exodia win in 15 turns if they don’t have an out . And sure beats passing turn for 50+ turns.
I think the lack of conditions on PoP makes it the better choice. Unless you restructure the deck with a guaranteed method of lowering your lp. DoF is better than pot if you can meet that condition though.
I don't think any archetype has more counters to crook specifically than HEROES but none of the cards that out it are really played in most meta HERO decks.
Dark Law is the best hero card and you can't change my mind. You can set up so many filthy combos with DL
The stalling cook can be Interrupted If Ur have an extra Card on ur field or kaiju the cook or somelike Piercing damage or Direct attacks

So I was just playing against this deck, not knowing it was an exodia stall, couldn't get around the cook but had necro and royal tribute twice, hit his exodia and he quit

so hero is probably the most expensive deck in master duel AND THE OPPONENT PLAYED 60 CARDS? (you may not know this but the deck hight actually represents the deck size and the hero deck was large) not only is 60 cards hero bad in general but it also is probably the most expensive single deck you can make that is cohesive
