The music was half of the atmosphere, we played the sh.. out of the game both singleplayer and multiplayer in LAN, and the new Doom games aint Doom. Doom: A new level, should be remade around the original Doom and Doom2 Maps with the same music, just with amazing levels, amazing atmosphere and a lot of shot gun shells and gore. The graphics should be on a new level, just amazing and dark. And when you play the game you should be exited and feel the atmosphere. You should jump and panic fire. Thats Doom for you. For me Doom 3 was the pinnacle of Doom. What an amazing game. Just nailed you down to the gaming chair. Carmacks masterpiece. Much love. I rather play Brutal Doom than the new Doom clones ;) Thats just my meaning.
Well done. You successfully captured the "essence" of each of these songs. Listening to this album brings up clear memories, images, and feelings, just like the original soundtrack would.
Incredible!!I over the past year I have been making a cardboard version on Doom 2 , I wondered if you would fancy featuring your music in it? would fit perfectly! Though I make no money from my projects, I would still be happy to pay you.
Dude... THIS IS AMAZING! Especially the version of "Waiting for Romero to play". Kick ass beat you put in there as well as the guitar bends. it makes it feel like how DooM would actually sound.
I like how you included some actual doom sound effects in there, like the du-du of the item pickup in Running from Evil edit: also, the album cover, absolute perfection
Both exist but you'll have to look it up yourself, since my comments here keep being taken down as soon as I mention any other website. I'd really like to know WHY.
Mr. Wiebe, is there any way we can download this incredible remake in HQ mp3 files? RUclips sure does mess with quality, and I would love to add it to my OSTs library, as I listen to it almost everyday (both at work and at home). Thank you!

Running from Evil is SO SO GOOD! It's undeniably the original song, but the instrumentation is incredible. The delayed lead synth in the latter part is wonderfully performed, and the underlying groove is so tight and heavy. None stand out quite as much to me, but I also quite enjoy In The Dark, Bye Bye American Pie (very faithful to Alice in Chains!), Between Levels, and the Endgame Music was a made surprisingly tasty!.
Doom is like a metal band with few sick albums, which you can hear, play, see and feel. I hope that a soul of an original Doom will stay among players and metal fans forever...
Классная музыка, ностальгия моего детства, помню как подключал компьютер к магнитофону и из игры doom2 записывал музыку на кассету, и слушал в плеере. Музыка которая звучала на экранах с титрами - вообще кайф
Dude... I loved all of it.. But just a tad bit of constructive criticism?.. Demon's Dead has a little too much echo. When I first heard that MIDI those quarter notes were so deep and powerful. I wish you stuck with that rawness the first couple measures.. But damn dude, this is all phenomenal, really.
Just letting everyone know, there IS a Doom 2 addon that you can play RIGHT NOW that changes the music to be like in this video, but the audio is extremely low and kind of broken. If anyone could make an updated version that is fixed, I would love them forever. :D
The other day my son asked my father of what did he do when he was a child. He talked about playing outside with other kids...playing football, hide and seek and stuff. I'm worried one day he will ask the same question from me. What am I supposed to say to a 4 year old? Well son.... ... I was chasing evil and blowing deamons heads off....
What a delightfully fresh take on an otherwise forgettable soundtrack. Countdown to Death is probably my favorite, that track annoys the hell out of me whenever I replay DOOM 2, but this new baseline brings it home so hard! This whole album exhibits so much understanding of what the original soundtrack lacked and improves on it.
Hey man, do you have these as individual tracks? you might be able to post'm up somewhere then link it on zdoom or doomworld for somebody to make a mod from.
I like the Doom Metal Albums, but I felt like they took away from the original feel. They're good, don't get me wrong, but some of them felt a little bit less "upbeat" and more "heavy". This is a good compromise between metal and the original MIDI soundtrack. A good example is "Between Levels", in most DOOM remake albums, this one either gets completely redone or ignored.
I love how this SOUNDS so much like classic doom, but it’s so much better. I can tell a lot of work was put into making this sound classic but new at the same time.

Faithful to the original. That's what makes it better than the other remakes. Well done.

Honestly, i like this more than all other interpretations of doom1 and 2's osts.
Its so true to the OG versions. Respect.

Them Bone from Alice In Chains at 55mins, love the 90's grunge influences.

Love the little nod to Doom 1's E1M2 at around 19:55
Shawn’s got the shotgun is my favorite and you take it to another level.
Love your work!
Thanks for the nostalgia! 'The Demon's Dead' turned out pretty rad. That was my favorite from the game.
That's always been my favorite too. I jumped to that one first. What a fuckin game.
Really damn good remakes. Capture the essence of the music extremely well, which is usually lost when people get carried away.

I never thought organ and electric guitar work so well with Doom music.. thumbs, claws, tentacles, and hooves up 👍🏻

This version of Countdown to Death wipes the floor with the original. Not that the original one was bad or anything.

So metal. Sounds great! I love the tasty drum licks, especially the work on the kick drum.
