Cordyceps really help me with taking a full breath of air and not feel like I could use another. I notice more endurance when I walk my dog up a hill when it's cold. I'm able to breath deeply easily.

Been taking Cordyceps for almost 2 weeks now. Had water retention : GONE! Had chronic constipation: GONE! Was tired all the time: I am 42, I have the same energy I had as a teenager! Hormones were not balanced: Perfect hormonal balance. Which means that libido and energy when needed, is there. Not there all the time. But me and my husband was pleasantly surprised. Depression, was a little down and anxious: GONE! Really in a good mood all the time. My Seratonin levels were dangerously low, now I don't have that problem anymore. Wounds used to take a while to heal, now heals a lot faster. It works. Just get the Cordyceps Militaris from the best Apothecary you can find. I take it in drops form. It has done wonders for me.

Been taken cordyceps for two weeks and I've noticed my heart rate is lower and I don't get out of breath after a difficult set when lifting heavy weights which suggests it does have adaptive properties. That's just me tho so take it with a grain of salt but I feel stronger and have more energy from using it.

I was curious about her terminology between mushroom and fungus @1:36. The first semantics google provides is that mushrooms are the reproductive structures (fruiting bodies) which grow from fungi and that all mushrooms are fungi but not all fungi produce mushrooms. Therefore, according to the above semantics,
Cordyceps are the mushrooms which grow from the fungi, the cordyceps themselves are the fruiting bodies, the mushrooms. And they can be grown just like mushrooms with grain and substrate which is not insects. So I am curious where she gets the terms that because it’s a parasite therefore it’s just fungus and not a mushroom.

I use them regularly. They definitely work for energy, but I have never had a problem to determine if they are a magic male "enhancement", but you do get in the "mood" if you use them, which isn't always desired. I get concerned about taking too much and can't find much data on safety of long term use or large amounts. I do take brakes and don't do any herbs/mushrooms every day, mainly taking weekend off, but I don't do cordyceps every weekday either and tend to use them only when I'm a little extra tired or know I need the alertness or physical energy.

First, let me say I really appreciate your channel because you don't have animus against holistic medicine, but you are rigorous in your analysis. Here's my question: regarding the warnings you present about cordyceps, you present that 2) it lowers blood sugar and 3) it thins the blood. Are there scientific tests that prove this? And also, if there are, couldn't both of those traits be positive if used in moderation? Thanks.

    • @monnoo8221
      @monnoo8221 Год назад +2

yes indeed. yet it also means that it is possible to overdose, and that there are interactions with synthetic drugs.
About glucose: the body should be prepared to burn fat instead of carbs. if you eat low fat, then it can get overdosed.
To some extent, blood thinning is actually positive, yet since we always have micro lesions, it also can cause stronger bleeding than necessary. It is positive in the same way as fever is. The main reason we have fever is blood thinning, as the viscosity f the serum is highly temperature dependent.

I've looked at animal v human studies of Cordyceps sinensis and there's a huge discrepancy in dosage - 200g rats on 7.5g CS per day Vs 100kg humans on 4g CS per day; the results in all studies appear to be dose dependant.
To treat my COPD as it was treated in rats, I'd need about 50kg Cordyceps over a 12 day period. Ignoring the financial cost and just the sheer physical challenge of consuming over 4kg of dried CS per day, doses that high have never been tested on humans. Is there really any point in consuming 4g per day (a dose 1000x smaller than the effective dose for mice with COPD), or would it just be money down the drain?

about statistics in clinical studies: any study that enrolls more than 300..500 people is dealing with the expectation of a WEAK absolute effect. Such as it is the case with statins before a CVD event. Yet, a study with 8 or 22 people is not worth the money either. It is highly likely to fail, and if it does not fail on its outcome, everbody will say, oh its just due to (un)fortunate sampling. Of course, large studies also can prove a meaningful absolute effect, yet if you expect that, the study will not enroll more than 250..300 people. If using less participants, a crossover design is needed, best placebo controlled and two-fold. Why? Because then you can change the statistical paradigm from population to repeated time-series

Thank you, I enjoyed that. I agree that heavy metals in mushrooms come from the substrate they are grown on (stereotypically from China). You mentioned one study of c. sinensis and otherwise don't specify species. C. sinensis is prohibitively expensive and is not what is used in products. C. militaris is able to be grown on farms and is what is in essentially all products. There is a debate over the potency of fruiting body vs the mycelium with different products using one, the other, or both.

Cordyceps Sinensis is the one strain that grows out of the phantom moth caterpillar and is extremely expensive (up to $25000/kg) as it can only be harvested in the wild, in the Himalayas. Unless one is wealthy there's no chance you can get Cordyceps Sinensis regularly or at all. On the other hand Cordyceps Militaris doesn't need to fruit on caterpillars and therefore can be farmed much easier. The fruiting bodies of Cordyceps Militaris are the ones that's widely available and often sold in capsules.

Putting in 60-80 miles of running a week. A week into taking cordecyps I noticed a significant decrease in fatigue. I have since experminted in 3 seperate years. Each time. Big difference. Make sure you get quality fungi tho. Not all sources are created equal. I have tried numerous supplements. Too many to count. Placebo is a big factor. Out of probably 30 or 40 diff substances. Only 2 stood out. And those are cordecyps and beta-alinine with consistency being the key ingredient.

I watched another YT Video by another Content Provider and what he said spurred me onto giving it a go. It had been on my Radar for years. So I've been taking it with Schisandra Chinensis Extract, Rhodiola Rosea Extract, (as mentioned by Neurogal MD, in this video) and I've tried stacking it with Creatine Monohydrate, as mentioned in his Video. And WOW! In my experience, this combo is very potent and as I've had Schisandra and Rhodiola together before, I know that the difference that's making the difference is the Cordyceps. I have been taking half the recommended dose of the Cordyceps, just every other day, as I like to try and avoid the 'Adaption Phase' when taking herbs. The inclusion of the Creatine can add to the experience, but isn't absolutely necessary for me, as I'm not an Athlete. The Libido improvement is not just a legend and compared to the legendary Tongkat Ali or Panax Ginseng, I find Cordyceps Sinensis to be vastly superior. My score for CS is 11/10. Thanks to 'Neurogal MD' and 'The Bioneer', for the great information.

@@BerlinerOmar interesting....I’m looking into all mushrooms right now some have irrefutable benefits but cordyceps seems to have people split. Also it’s important to keep in mind that if you’re not sourcing these things properly you could be getting screwed. I would never recommend getting capsules for these substances....ALWAYS and I mean always go with tinctures that have some form of alcohol extraction

@@BerlinerOmar Find someone who grows it and has immense knowledge of Cordyceps and other mushrooms. I live in America specifically in North Carolina there's organic mushroom farms all around here the people who run those types of farms usually make tinctures and can get you a product that works. For mushrooms and really any plant medicine I recommend going to the source. There's a lot of bullshit out there so be careful what you buy.

Why you show studies for all the "benefits" but you don't show any for the "dangers"?, like "cordyceps has been shown to increase blood cell cancer", where did you get that?, is there a study that showed this?

Asked a Nutritionist, Spoilers, They said the claims could be said of any balanced diet or placebo. For instance, Sugar water is a Male Enhancement aid for boxers. The more you know I guess. Just hope those Cordyceps don't jump species, though unlikely as it may be.
