Pot of P was not only used in Tenpai but had no downside since they could still kill you under the half damage. It’s a good hit for Tenpai and honestly a good hit in general. That card was way too good.

I play lots of rogue and tier 3 and tenoai just killed most of my decks. Shifter in shining sarc and vanquish. Prosperity in my black luster soldier and gaia, and unchained decks. This deck just crippled so many fun weaker decks.
More than rogue decks, it's bad for stun rogue decks, which is a good thing. freaking shifter is an instawin against rouge decks that rely on the graveyard for example.

I understand your opinion. But as you said, there are other decks which use Pot of P, not just Rouge decks, I mean. Pot of P that is used in other strong decks like Yubel is just too good compared to it is used in Rouge decks. Though I am sad for my rouge decks as well.
A shared card pull banlist that limits which cards you are allowed to use together might be a good way to keep decks from going crazy. While still letting others use what they need to be viable.
And it can be combined to the normal banlist. Choice Restrict is done in many games tbh, it's just yugioh being yugioh and refusing to change. Doing something as simple as putting Sangan to one and saying "you either play Prosp or the Field Spell in your deck" would go a long way.

The RNG seems to always favor my opponent who somehow majority of the time draws their one-of. It feels like one-of have weighted odds in its favor to be drawn in their opening hand.

Right on time i just switch my Shifter with Bystial on my shining sarcophagus deck. I don't think tenpai is real reason shifter ban, more like this card more popular than ever with newer card like Ritual beast and shining sarc and in future Malice deck so thank god this card get limited.
The issue with the Duel Links style banlist is that some cards are limited because of weird things they do interacting with themselves, or because they make an archetype too consistent when run at multiples, but are at a normal level of strength when run at lower numbers. If a card needs to be limited to 1 to be reasonably balanced, it might go completely ignored in a style of banlist where it's being passed up for tool kits that are still broken at 1. Light Stage should have been unlimited back when Terraforming got banned.
"Limit to 3 of any of these" list is something I did think about a long while ago for limiting meta decks without killing rogue decks, but I didn't know that it was something Duel Links did.

I think it's way late for a DL style banlist to be implemented. It would basically require them to go over every card, not only the ones on the current banlist, but also all the cards in decks that could get out of control (or gutted) from access or loss of access to certain cards due to the banlist format.
I said that form of banklist of limiting certain cards together would be better to not hit the rogue decks. Some people love to play rogue decks including myself because of the ur/sr system in MD.
As a Pendulum player, the Chonograph Sorcerer moving to 3 doesn't alter our game that much, it gives added strength to the pre-pendulum summoning of the deck to work around Nib more, but with having the Supreme King addins it might be propped from 0/1 to 2 only in a few decks
Your banlist things reminds me of costs in some games, where some new 5 star summons have high costs to make sure you cant abuse them with other bew broken cards. It sounds good, except for the amount of pain it would take to implement that in a game like yugioh where we already have to deal bans and limits.
I have been wanting to have Duel Links style banlist in Master Duel but that would take too much studying for Konami. You could Limit 1 pot of Greed that way 😅
The Duel Links style of banning seems like a creative way to minimize the power gap between decks, but... I'd be upset if they switched systems this late in the game because I've dismantled so many URs due to banlists. I'd have to spend gems on so many different secret packs to get them back. If they had the DL style banlist from the very beginning, I wouldn't have dismantled as much.
Cards that must be banned or limited in the next banlist (IMO): - Barrier Statue of the Abyss - D/D/D Vice King Requiem or Sanctifire - Secret Village of the Spellcasters - Number 30: Acid Golem of Destruction - Dimensional Barrier

Konami trying to make sure that Master Duel to be a balance game by trying to hit Tenpai Dragon by hitting Shifter, Snow, and Pot of P (banned) in this banlist but unfortunately Tenpai Dragon is still the best deck it was their consistency that got hit. With the ban of Pot of Prosperity it also hit Floo and many Rogue decks associated with it. But still we are expecting the return of the Red Eyes Dark Dragoon that can synergize well with Predaplant Anaconda in order to topple Tenpai Dragon to the top once it comes out in the next pack, but Tenpai Dragon can also synergize with Dark Dragoon card too.
I was using it in my yubel “spirit monster” deck. Since they return to hand I needed a way to protect myself in battle phase. Tenpai does hurt it with the no effects during battle synchro though. Pot of p did add so much to my consistency. I actually had all pot card in my deck lol
personally, I like master duel being as similar to the table game as possible. It makes me consider buying my deck IRL and going out where as if master duel was it's own format I would never even consider it.
maybe what they should do is a system where if you are playing a certain card, it locks you off from using a certain other card, so if you have any tenpai card in your deck, now you can't put prosperity in it, then rogue decks can still use it. doubt they'll do it that way though
Bout to put Dragoon in my Snake eyes deck. Summon Saryuja dump a target or draw the target. Hard draw the spell or summon Anaconda. I feel like it's an easy fit.
I always think about going back to Duel Links, I love how much more casual and fun it is especially as a fan of the anime, but it's just way too grindy for me sadly

The thing I dislike most is when “rogue” decks are hit because konami wants to make some OP deck…. I’m strictly a master duel player and the hit to terraforming weakened my numeron deck and the limit to pot of desires hindered my green maju deck. I’m sure there’s more examples but those are the first two I could think of.

Name a single card that got hit to 1 or 0 in this banlist update that wasn’t a problem before Tenpai got released. Gamma is already a popular card that is a negate an effect monster + destroy that monster that also summons 2 bodies on resolution, making you either gets a omega or baronne via accel synchro, or you can just use them to make a link 2. Busted as hell card, disguting handtrap. Another toxic is shifter, disabling the graveyard for 2 turns is a dumb shit that shouldn’t be allowed anyway, so good riddance on decreasing the number of cards allowed. And Pot of Prosperity is an crazy good spell card that lets you choose 1 card of 6 excavated from the top of your deck to add to your hand, without restricting you in anyway whatsoever. Dealing half damage a is non-restriction going first and going second in tenpai with this shit is also a irrelevant thing because they can deal 18k damage. The is way too good to be in the game. So it’s an awesome thing for the game to be banned, they should have banned Pot of P. a long time ago, but okay, better late than never. Oh, LS to 2 is also a great, but they should have put the card to 1.
Only bad part about duel links banlist in masterduel is 20 card deck compared to a 40. Would you take a bunch limited or simi-limited off the list? Most decks limits would be filled within there own archetypes and not be able play any of the tech cards. I believe they need create a complete different ban list from all the others
Shifter and Snow should have been banned but limited is something at least, sadly Komoney dont hits decks in the shop but this is not the real problem since Snake-eyes even out of the shop takes a lot of months to get a meaningful banlist, so I pretty sure Tenpai will be prevelant a lot of time, and Yubel will be fine too... And all of this when Fiendsmith will be in Master Duel somewhere...

That limited 3 in duel links is amazing and should def be in master duel instead. At this point may switch back over to that
I always think about going back to Duel Links, I love how much more casual and fun it is especially as a fan of the anime, but it's just way too grindy for me sadly

The thing I dislike most is when “rogue” decks are hit because konami wants to make some OP deck…. I’m strictly a master duel player and the hit to terraforming weakened my numeron deck and the limit to pot of desires hindered my green maju deck. I’m sure there’s more examples but those are the first two I could think of.
I don't use any of those cards in my Tenpai deck that have been hit and I sit at D2 currently. I'm really not slightly bothered

The duel link banlist is cool and an awesome idea but i dont think it works with md cuz of the decksizes... 20 cards is minimum in duel links and 40 is the limit

Name a single card that got hit to 1 or 0 in this banlist update that wasn’t a problem before Tenpai got released. Gamma is already a popular card that is a negate an effect monster + destroy that monster that also summons 2 bodies on resolution, making you either gets a omega or baronne via accel synchro, or you can just use them to make a link 2. Busted as hell card, disguting handtrap. Another toxic is shifter, disabling the graveyard for 2 turns is a dumb shit that shouldn’t be allowed anyway, so good riddance on decreasing the number of cards allowed. And Pot of Prosperity is an crazy good spell card that lets you choose 1 card of 6 excavated from the top of your deck to add to your hand, without restricting you in anyway whatsoever. Dealing half damage a is non-restriction going first and going second in tenpai with this shit is also a irrelevant thing because they can deal 18k damage. The is way too good to be in the game. So it’s an awesome thing for the game to be banned, they should have banned Pot of P. a long time ago, but okay, better late than never. Oh, LS to 2 is also a great, but they should have put the card to 1.

Only bad part about duel links banlist in masterduel is 20 card deck compared to a 40. Would you take a bunch limited or simi-limited off the list? Most decks limits would be filled within there own archetypes and not be able play any of the tech cards. I believe they need create a complete different ban list from all the others

If Konami really wanted to hit Tenpai, they’d stop fixing their hands with Maxx C and Droplet.
Floo is not one of my favorite decks, but they need to lift some of the restrictions to offset all these indirect hits.

Shifter and Snow should have been banned but limited is something at least, sadly Komoney dont hits decks in the shop but this is not the real problem since Snake-eyes even out of the shop takes a lot of months to get a meaningful banlist, so I pretty sure Tenpai will be prevelant a lot of time, and Yubel will be fine too... And all of this when Fiendsmith will be in Master Duel somewhere...
All hands traps should be limited or semi. Every deck has the same 20 card base of hand traps. It’s boring and prevents play.
