8:51 Gurl, if you really like the dress but it just needs some alterations I would suggest you do that. You got an insanely good price and even with alterations it will be cheaper than the regular price. In my opinion, if you get something you really want to wear that just needs a little help here and there and it’s a great price then altering it makes sense but if you’re not feeling it, it doesn’t matter that you got a steep discount because at the end of the day even altering it, you still won’t wear it. Trust me, I’ve made this mistake.

I love thread up. Stick to brands that you know and love, if they are too much on the new, try without tags, often there will be other ones in good order.
I have taken a break from Thredup. I have sent some of my clothes to them and they don't take a lot of them and I've seen and bought items not in good shape on there and not so expensive so I don't understand why my stuff wasn't good enough lol. Also I barely got anything for the clothes they did take.
Thred up is fun for browsing but have had so many fails; I never return anything and just take the hit to avoid the headache. Shopping in person is so much more fun and satisfying for me, it's all about the hunt!

I love the thrift store hunt. Online shoping and not being able to try stuff on and touch it is more stressful for me😅 but online thriftstores I'm so intrigued by and browse all the time but never have bought

I love Thredup! I agree that it's only worthwhile for sales. Definitely hit-or-miss, but my success rate is probably 70%. I wear something from there almost daily.

The thing with Thread Up is people get rid of things for a reason! Now I will look up items I have seen or tried on past seasons and that stuff has worked but otherwise it’s given away for a reason 🧐

The "casual" dress might be called that because of the very bright "wild" print as you probably wouldn't wear it to a very upscale formal event. I don't think the one you got for $18.75 is too big for you, really.

The Madewell jeans look good, but not with that tee; the crew neck and cap sleeves square and blunt your upper body, while the drab color combo just makes you invisible. This isn't cute "mom "style, or "I wear what I want mature lady" style, it's just... nothing.
