Omg! Welcome to Tennessee!!! I hope you enjoy our Smokey Mountains! ❤ Also after watching y'all I decided to book my first cruise ever with EECC Travels! And I'll tell you what! Amy took the scary out of trying to plan everything and found the right ship and cruise, flight and hotel! Now all I have to do is be excited and look forward to my first cruise! 🎉 Thank you Amy! And thank you EECC Travels!😊
Highly recommend Apple Barn and the Christmas Place in Pigeon Forge, Ole Smoky Moonshine (I prefer the one in Gatlinburg), and make sure you take some time to go visit Cades Cove!
My wife and myself went to pigeon forge/Gatlinburg for our honeymoon. We stayed in a great cabin we rented for the week. It was great exploring the area
😂 We just saw you leave Tiki RV Park in the UP! I said to my husband, that's a nice RV, my teen daughter noticed your sticker about your You Tube channel. She looked you up on my phone. Too bad we didn't get to meet! Happy travels!😊
Love pigeon forge and Gatlinburg and driving through smokies. Whitewater rafting was awesome. Dinner shows is a must. Titanic museum is another recommendation.
Been on that harnessed swing ride before, it called sky coaster In Buffalo, NY I use to work one, and each of those cables holding you , there combined total weight can support a small semi, it s been a while but each cable hold 9000 pounds a piece and there is 2 of them
Hope you enjoyed our “neck of the woods”❤. Would love to have taken you out for dinner while in the area! Hope you were there long enough to do some some cool stuff in addition to seeing some of the beautiful places in the area, especially Cades Cove and the Motor Nature Trail-Phenomenal photo opps-gorgeous and peaceful! Been watching for a long time and thoroughly enjoy your video’s! We love cruising as well! Safe Travels!🥰
Glad y'all enjoyed coming to my home area! Reason why so many of the employees dont speak great English is because there are only so many people in Sevier County, that they have to bring in workers from elsewhere during the spring-fall seasons. If you come back in January, its beautiful and its like a ghost town during the week
Tennessee is where I’ll be in September!! I’m glad y’all made it to the Island!! I go there just bout every other September!! So much to see and do. I also love the Smoky mountains knife works , pigeon forge snow tubing and downtown Gatlingburg. Love Delauders BBQ!! Glad y’all having an awesome time.
That shopping area was not there the last time we were in Pigeon Forge. We have stayed at a Gatlinburg RV park (can't recall which) and at a hotel, Fairfield Inn in Gatlinburg, and then the next visit we camped in the North Carolina side national park campground in our RV. Probably last visit was 2018. Duck Pins are apparently a East Coast thing popular around New York/New Jersey, PA etc.
We live in Ms and we love going to Pigeon forge and Gatlinburg. We are going on our 1st cruise in Nov carnival spirit to Bahamas. How are the vegan options? Does guys burger have a vegan burger?
One of my favorite places to go!! We went last year and I want to go again. If I had it my way I would go on a cruise, go to Disneyworld, go to Pigeon Forge and go to Wyoming every year lol!
We live in north Carolina .love to go to pigeon forge tenn.love going to the island to spend time.loved the Farris wheel.eating at the restaurants there. There is so much. To do there.did not know about guy feries. New fun town where they have going.is it at the island....or what is the shopping is it in....loved your video😊😊😊😊😊😊
As a TN native I am sorry to hear that the Smokey mountains are having to import employees (everyone deserves employment, however) this town was nothing before the 1990's other than coal mining and it surprises me that there aren't more natives willing to work the resorts. Is that about the pay scale? Not seeing much about Margaritaville that instills confidence in the brand.
@@EECCTravels TN has had an influx of folks from the Philippians (in my high school years - that was 30+ years ago but...) and I would assume others, but I would expect dual language skills or management to be interpretive.
@EECC Travels Many of the big employers rely on foreign workers here on J-1 visas. The population of locals is just not very high to support the amount of tourists flocking to the area. A lot of it is a housing issue, as the cost of housing he too high for those working on lower wages. You will especially see this at Dollywood.
The big question is how much did they charge? We have a "Chicken Guy" place in Livonia, I'm hearing mixed reviews. We're super picky, Lee's chicken is a staple.
We love visiting the Great Smoky Mountain area 👍❤️⛰️😎 There is so much to do it keeps you coming back❤️⛰️. You should have camped at Roamstead campgrounds for a more true Smoky Mountain experience. 🤔👍 Thanks for sharing 🤗
I wish yall would of went into Gatlinburg too and the parkway into the smokies. I live in NC and been to the area many times, but it is not like it used to be. It has alot more to do now and lots of great hiking in the smokies. I am so glad you finally made it to Pigeon Forge. I wish you would of went to Dollywood too. Well, at least you made it to Pigeon Forge. Yall can always come back and stay longer. I would have a problem with the language barrier but I know alot about the area since I am from NC.
@@EECCTravels it is fun. I rode the steam train through the Smokey mountains. I actually stayed with a friend and she brought me to maryville college through the Adirondacks I think? Anyways, it’s Gods country. Stunning. And it was fall.
Not uncommon for the big RV Resorts to use foreign employees, VERY popular in fact as they get a tax break and the employees work for minimum wage if that plus they have to pay for housing etc. We ran into this when we started our fulltime RV lifestyle. You will see this a lot out west in the popular tourist areas. While the RV Resort looks very nice, it would not be our cup of tea, too touristy and looks like one would need to bring plenty of buckets of money! Looks like a great family location if one wants to spend all their time at the Resort. Another fun filled video, good job Jason & Alysa!
Glad you all made it over to Tennessee. Pigeon forge and Gatlinburg are just amazing. So much to do. So many awesome restaurants. Word of advice though if you venture in to gatlinburg make sure you are paying to park. They dont play around there. I hope you all have an amazing time and safe travels!!
Did they have an age of your rv restriction ? Seems like the one in Georgia only allowed vehicles that were a cerain age or newer. Also, when you said the employees were "foreign", did you mean , not from the area (i.e. Tennessee) or from other countries ? Thanks.
I wanted to see more of the van and how you guys do your routines around the van I appreciate all the information you’re dishing out but I’m just more of a dream van Lifer
Been there SO. MANY. TIMES. Still have not done nearly everything there is to do! It's great being only a few hours drive away from my 2nd fav vacation- after cruising

Thanks for your review! Been following you for years and always enjoy! P.S you’re not the only one to comment on the lack of knowledge and staff language barrier.
We enjoy the Island in Pigeon Forge. Good food, Ole Smokey Distillary and local entertainment near the fountain. I love just sitting there, people watching and listening to the music. Margaritaville also has a hotel in Gatlinburg. You've got to visit Gatlinburg. Last September, we took the Behind-The-Still tour at Ole Smokey Distillary in Gatlinburg. I found it educational on the making of moonshine, and the tour includes moonshine tasting. Just remember to bring your ID. If you want someone local to talk to about the area; we stop occasionally at the Sevierville Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center, which is out close to the Highway I-40. Those ladies and gents are true locals and very friendly and informative. You've got to try the Goats on the Roof Goat coaster, which is just a short way down Rt 321, Wears Valley Road. Ride the coaster, feed the goats, and some good ice cream. Visit the Inn at Christmas Place in Pigeon Forge. You might see Santa Clause.
Love to see your review of somewhere we’ve been ourselves! We were here xmas22, sub zero temps and no power lol but it was amazing and I’d take it over 100 temps in Florida anytime! Barely anyone was there so the one bathhouse wasn’t an issue but I don’t understand why they’d only have 1 for so many sites. Great location right between the towns and my kids loved the lodge games. Unfortunately the pool was too icy so it was closed but we would return again.
I am also hard of hearing and I can tell you the lack of local employees is common to the area. Communication can be an issue for myself as well. A lot of local businesses keep limited hours or unpredictable hours due to staffing difficulties. That being said this is still a great place to vacation. Hope y’all had a great time!
We stayed at the lodge there last fall and loved it! Loved our whole trip there! ❤ there weren't any foreign workers last fall when we stayed but I've noticed that is happening different places we visit this summer ....so I wonder why...
You should’ve gotten together with Will and Dawn, they’re the Yankee in the south RUclipsrs. They live here and they would be great to ask any questions you might have.
Have you guys thought that you guys have an accent as well? You guys maybe live in an area that is not culturally diverse that is probably why you have that complain. Any way, that can be remedied by using the Google engine , ask Google!
We are well traveled and interact with people all over the world. In tourist areas it’s nice to interact with locals that can give advice and nit have to rely on Google.
Oh I miss it. Lived in sevierville, went to sevierville high school, and grew up on Dollywood and cades cove it’s an amazing place with amazing culture.

Nice place. Nice video. Thanks guys.
Great Campground!
I LOVE this area!!! One of the best places to visit in TN!!! I wish I would have known about The Island when we were there!
Looks like quite a cool place.
You are in our backyard! Welcome to East Tennessee!!!!
I want to joy tennessee and I hope I can enjoy the this place

That's exactly what I thought!!!😵
What advice y’all want? I’m a kinda local lol if kinda local means like an hour and half away.
You need to go to the apple barn
Cheap labor @ Margaritaville, I guess 🤷🏼♀️
You gotta go to Crockets breakfast camp!!! Best place in Gatlinburg
May I recommend you check out the titanic museum in pigeon forge! It is really amazing!

Way to commercialized. There wasn't a single thing about this place that said TN except the mountains off in the background.
It’s probably the safest ride in the park
