You can split up to 16 zones on this little thing :) You can combine splitting, layering and velocity switching, this is normal on Korg keyboards for over 20 years!
I have the 61-key version. It's just a brilliant machine. Compact, easy to use and has great and realistic sounds. The ability to make sounds from scratch is just to beautiful for words!
Thank brother.. You sold me on the Piano voices. I read a reveiw saying that the Korg piano wasnt all that great. But Im impressed. I currently own a Kurzwiel sp88x, which is awesome for straigh up piano,. but there are no suitcase voices. The organ on it isnt impressive. I am definatley goin to buy the M50. thanks for the video
Hi, Could you do a demo with just the Hammond like organs? I need to listen how the Leslie sim sounds, spinning, how tweakable it is, etc. Just plain chords will do fine. Does it sound too thin in the upper registrations? Thank you.
I'm considering the MOX or Korg M50-73. The problem is that I can't decide on which one would be best because I don't live near any music stores and can't try them out side-by-side. The MOX seems to have a lot of helpful performance / composition / recording features that might make it a better deal for my music, which is one-man-rock-band (in studio, not live) so built in accompaniment and performances along with ease of use in making up a song are very useful to me. Thoughts?
@Space4Keys does the Korg m50 have realistic acoustic tones that sound like real instruments. eg. saxophone that sounds like a real saxophonist playing or violins that sound like a real violinist playing or does everything sound electric/ digital/ computerized? what about realist acoustic guitars and bass
Is there any way to change to favorite sounds with 1 click? This is SO useful during live performance. Roland Juno kinda does this with their category buttons, does M50 have any similar capability?
Lead you used for solos (minute 4.30) are factory preset or you modified them? i mean also for pitch range, it seem you set +12 semitones instead of +2 as usual.. what do + Y and - Y control?
Hi! Can you tell me how handy is to use it in a live setup? And I mean how easy can you change the patches and programms using buttons and the foot switch?
Can you programme your own drum patterns with this? I mean could I do a whole song using one long drum track I programme myself? I probably wont want to use pre-loaded ones. Thanks.
I would like to know your view point . I have a yamaha psr s550( i like the sound). I work a lot composing music ( chill out) but I want a better workstation for record , editing tracks and create my beat .and mix them etc. is korg m50 good in this way? Ihave read tha the sounds are better in yamaha than korg . I have seen korg videos and realy want to leave my yamaha and get the korg . do you do it? whats the most cool in korg could you say???
There are over 1000 sounds in it. Yes, EPs are there too, and they sound nice. Piano sounds are the best coming from Korg in 20 years, as the samples are derived from OASYS. Brass isn't the best, but can be nice.
How manye EP/Rhodes sounds is it on this keyboard? I'm a huge Fender-rhodes fan, so I won't buy this unless I'm sure.. How are the piano sounds, and brass? do you know how many total sounds there is? PEACE
It's pretty easy though. Let me explain: 1. Press on the ''page select'' button 2. Select OSC/pitch. 3. Select the oscillators (sound sample). 4. Add effects to the sound, (otherwise it sounds like shit). 5. Edit the LFO's and filters (if you wish). 6. You're done.
Or, you can switch patches with a footswitch, my favourite way of doing it. You just order the patches you use in the song, and the footswitch does the rest!
If anyone is interested in listening to high audio quality demos of the KORG M50, and somewhat diferent (and IMO better than others) come visit all my KORG M50 demo videos!!! Please leave comments or suggestions and Rating..
like all these you tube vids they make the keyboard sound terrible but played through real studio monitors or a great sounding keyboard amp the thing sounds great
Shamefully the Roland Juno-G does not have such good synth leads. It's much more concentrated on modern electronic type sounds than good old rock. Fortunately you can create your own patches.
His sounds are way more realistic and he uses the m3 engine, besides the effects that you can put on this keyboard are way more advanced the triton's. I trully recomend you abandon triton and try this awsome keyboard! =)
Класс вот это пальчики летают!!!
спасибо за комплименты

Jesus Christ! Monster on a Keyboard! Awesome speed!

Yes, it has a sequencer, you can program stuff on it the way you want it.

How is the key action on that M50? It's said to have semi-weighted keys. Are they decent..., or would you liken them to a lower end synth?
@musicjunkie295 this is the semi weighted version
Lead you used for solos (minute 4.30) are factory preset or you modified them? i mean also for pitch range, it seem you set +12 semitones instead of +2 as usual.. what do + Y and - Y control?
yes, of course :)
Quite amazing \##/ How long have you been learning keyboard ?
Forgot to ask: is the percussion, chorus, etc. available to tweak? Thanks a lot for your time.
Hi! Can you tell me how handy is to use it in a live setup? And I mean how easy can you change the patches and programms using buttons and the foot switch?
@Space4Keys so better. keyboard amps or monitors? whats more affordable?
Can you programme your own drum patterns with this? I mean could I do a whole song using one long drum track I programme myself? I probably wont want to use pre-loaded ones. Thanks.
Super! :)
@Kaalliikorpa I've been wanting to make sounds from scratch but couldn't figure it out... how do you?
impresionant keyboard! :D
@egnacho666 As you can see, there is another keyboard under the M50 one, which is covered. Now, about the walls, I find it quite cool :p
I would like to know your view point . I have a yamaha psr s550( i like the sound). But where to get that practice.... But where to learn how and where to receive such things.

Does the m50 have incorporate speakers?
Or your need the plug exterior speakers to it?
How manye EP/Rhodes sounds is it on this keyboard? I'm a huge Fender-rhodes fan, so I won't buy this unless I'm sure.. How are the piano sounds, and brass?
do you know how many total sounds there is?

Are there any Sounds for the M50 at Space4Keys Website? :)

@Space4Keys korg m50 or yamaha mo6 what would u choose

Thank you very much.
It's pretty easy though. Let me explain:

If anyone is interested in listening to high audio quality demos of the KORG M50, and somewhat diferent (and IMO better than others) come visit all my KORG M50 demo videos!!! Please leave comments or suggestions and Rating..
Although the piano playing is superb, it would be nice to hear some of the OTHER sounds it can make.
are they keys better than the sucky korg karma?
@matsuo07 I think no doubt, KORG Triton Pro, is the best. But i think that they discontinued it, recently.
soo much better ^^'
its true that it doesnt have aftertouch???
The keybed is different, I can't say is better
You need a MONITOR or a KEYBOARD AMPLIFIER
so which is beter than mo6 or m50
what about keyboard amps?
how about yamaha mo6 ??
All sounds are presets ;)
WOW ! Who is that guy??
like all these you tube vids they make the keyboard sound terrible but played through real studio monitors or a great sounding keyboard amp the thing sounds great

Korg M50
Is this guy in a cave or something? I really like the Korg M50.
His sounds are way more realistic and he uses the m3 engine, besides the effects that you can put on this keyboard are way more advanced the triton's. I trully recomend you abandon triton and try this awsome keyboard! =)
try a MONTARBO MP4 ;)
nono, M50 has no speakers, audio comes from monitors
All preset sounds ;)
X50 doesnt have it
Yeah, it doesn't have aftertouch.
in outerspace
:)
Or headphones...
All presets ;)
