I recently executed the procedure to track ready per GM’s guidance doc. GM’s track readiness guidance doc states there are 2 camber settings but you can re-install the top hat in several different positions with the TRACK CAMBER label still visible, and only one will net the -1.7 negative camber. The strut top mount should be turned 180 deg (mark hat BEFORE position if necessary) and the TRACK CAMBER label should be positioned medially, not towards the front. If you look under the shock tower, you will see the 6 slots where the ear(s) on the top mount are intended to fit into.
I just ordered my 2022 ZL1/1le in satin steel metallic with the a10. I can’t wait to get back out on the track again! Thank you for the straight forward video.
@@MarchedYeti96 no, it was going to take months. I ended up buying the new Tesla Model S Plaid instead. Looks like I’ll be drag racing this year instead 🤟
Thx for the great video. Pls post some track content with the Camaro. I just ordered a 2SS 1LE. Can’t wait to get it on the track. My last track car was a 997.2 Carrera. It will be interesting to see the difference.
been sub'd to Zent since he first made his channel, still sub'd and watching... would love to see great success in your business endeavors including a turo competitor.
Have you ever driven a GT350R? That’s the main competitor to the ZL1 so I’d like to hear your opinion on it. I have an AP2 S2000 that I track and daily drive, and am thinking of upgrading to one of these cars, but I’m still not sure if I will regret it.
I haven't driven the R, only the GT350. A few people have blown the engines on those so I'd just make sure to get one with warranty. Same with this ZL1... I plan to own it and track it with the warranty and get rid of it after the warranty expires. On track the ZL1 goes through tires and gasoline really quick. If you have the disposable income available, you will love it.
@@ZentRose Did you consider a GT350R or were you set on getting a Zl1? I know you had a S2000 before, do you still have it? Do you think the step up in performance going from the S to a Gt350 or ZL1 is worth the extra cost in maintenance and consumables? Also do you ever miss the lightweight agile feel it had?
Yeah I used the pressure bleeder. I can't recall on this car but I believe the service recommendation is inner first and outer second which is different from big brake installs like wilwood or stop tech where they recommend the opposite.

@@stepheno.2730 I couldn't order one so I bought a used satin steel zl1 1le with 4k miles on it
@@matt-ts8cx congrats. I still want to add a ZLE to the mix one day. Still partying in the Plaid for the time being.
That camber adjustment is pretty cool how easy that is
Always been a big fan of this platform. Just can't beat the front canards they look so saucy. Looking forward to your track thoughts
Really good but didn't show the toe adjustment.
A Dollar general turkey baster will work to empty that reservoir and make certain to wash off brake fluid with soap and water!

Just saw the track post. Excellent.

I appreciate that! Not the best time right now for business with the coronavirus lock down going on. I'm looking forward to the future though.
You didn't need to remove the tires? I'm assuming both were off the ground to loosen the sway bar...
Does it say anything about changing the transmission fluid or the rear differential fluid?

I don't have an s2000 anymore. Yeah the ZL1 is worth it to me. The best bet is to rent one to see if you like it enough to buy and own.
Motiv pressure for the ZLE? And outer or inner first for the Brembos?

Yeah opinion differs. I would do inner to outer.
What suspension components do you adjust to adjust the toe
Hey Alex, I just use the tie rods. I loosen the lock nut on each tie rod and then adjust them until the toe measures out correctly.
That's alot of shit I'll stick to 1/4 Miles lol
