I watch tons of true crime, like a lot of us here. She has to be the least personable/likeable person I have ever come across. Most of them at least try in their lives pre-jury, pre-crime, out of all the footage of her, there is nothing where she even seems slightly likeable. I think Sarah is a narcissist, thus the trial, but I would concede some of those attorneys were probably crap, thus the granting of a new attorney by the judge.

He didn't request curative instructions after his outburst over Jorge's mother quietly exiting the room. He still tried to not ask the questions he wanted answered during the impromptu deposition. And he kept asking if she INTENDED to express any other opinions. Witnesses don't intend to say anything; they can only answer the questions that the trial lawyers ask. She didn't form a new opinion; he never asked the question that he wanted answered.

Even if the forfeiture wasn't brought up, the fact that he didn't allow a continuance with Owens is a massive lapse in judgement. I think it's unfortunately an excellent reason to get a retrial. He also should have handled the family and the prosecution better. Everyone is sick of her BUT you only have one chance to put her away.
