Back in March, it was brought to my attention that Mega Man Battle Network's 20th anniversary was this year on March 21st. I was neck deep in working on Side-Quests 3 videos at the time, so I couldn't get this done on the exact day, but I made it a high priority to finally get to a full Battle Network remix as soon as I could.
Enter Surge of Power! from Mega Man Battle Network 6, one of the most requested songs from the MMBN series.
I borrowed a few things from the Rockman.EXE 15th Arrange version of Surge of Power, but mostly kept the feel of the original.

Here is to hoping that Capcom one day realizes we now all have real PETs and could literally make a game with this idea in mind.
Some other amazing timeline of Earth got "Battle Network GO" with customizable NetNavis that even help with reminders and such outside of the game.

There is actually a BN mobile game in development, but it got heavily delayed due to covid. We havent seen much from it, but we know it exists!

@@rogercameron6912 I'd be happy if one of the official phone digital assistants just let you give it a nickname so I could have my regular phone features respond to "hey Megaman," _but noooo,_ they only respond to "Siri" and "Alexa" and such because of _branding._
You can ask your phone to call you whatever you want, but _heaven forbid_ it let you do the same for its arbitrarily-given name.
-Side note, I'd probably just as often have it respond to "Nicole" or just a generic "computer," depending entirely on my mood, too. X^p-

Man this series was my childhood. By my math, over 3 months of my lifespan was sunk into this series if you were to put all of my playtime together in a non-stop line. So well done... except 4. We do not talk about 4.
The fact you had to do 3 playthroughs just to get the full story was such a dumb design decision..😔

Goosebumps hit me at 2:20 . MMBN6 was top tier for intros in the series. Hands down one of my favorite games growing up.

I love that there are so many pieces across the Mega Man franchise that fans can just go "IT'S THE BIG ONE" several times. Surge of Power is a gem, and I thank you for such a perfect execution of this track!

I'm sure nobody else on the planet would ask for the first one, but: Medabots RPG Rubberobo Theme. Amazing theme from a game barely anyone has played. That, or "Great Netbattlers" from MMBN3 would be amazing to hear!

Man I haven't thought of Battle Network in forever. I actually did enjoy those. Wasn't so keen on the whole two version crap to where you couldn't get all the chips in a single game, though.
The only version locked chips were Gigas(which were straight up un-tradable anyway), and the boss navi chips
Also there's a strong competitive community for the games now, primarily 6, but they ain't only doing it, they've got pre-made saves with everything you could need in-game(including 9999 Bug Frags, so if you wanna use BugDeathThunder or BugRiserSword in a match you can do so with reckless abandon)

I used to mod this game on the GBA back in the late 2000s, this song is burned into my brain. Was that the English HackJack translation patch at the end there? Man, I remember the days where we would just dream of that being a reality. Back when the tools were just tutorials and you looked at walls of hex.

You're an incredible guitarist, but I think what keeps me coming back to these covers is how good your ear is for synths and accents. I was just listening to the Cynthia battle cover and there's a specific stab on the synth that I noticed a lot of other covers neglect or don't quite get it right. The synth lines here sound incredible too, you're really a rather brilliant multi-instrumentalist. Shout out to how crispy and clean the drums are too. The Doomsday/Big Arms cover is also a knockout, while I'm at it. Thanks for the tunes, man.
